How do you all feel when you see a thin red line flag? That is in support of Fire Fighters i've never seen one of these. but i don't lump firefighters in with police officers, as far as police brutality goes. I have seen this type of "flag" decals for police, fire fighters, emts & dispatchers.

How do you all feel when you see a thin red line flag? That is in support of Fire Fighters I try not to think the worst when I see it but if it's paired up with other symbols, I'm gonna assume you're a trumper. ^^^ me too. I try to give the benefit of the doubt and see what other "clues" there might be

Law enforcement has been losing their lives in the line of duty since the beginning of time. It was only after the creation of Black Lives Matter (2013), did they feel the need to modify the US flag for themselves (2014). I find it grotesque.

I’ve never seen a thin red line flag or decal. I don’t remember when the first time I saw a thin blue line symbol was, but it has gotten way more common here in the last year since the murder of George Floyd and seems to be used primarily as anti-BLM. I was thinking more about this today since I saw that the police cars still have the decals on them. Over the weekend I was explaining to someone why the TBL decal is offensive and it came to me that IMO, not only does it come across as anti-BLM (the movement), it comes across as "We support police, no matter what they do to black people" such as George Floyd.

The world needs less symbols and more real conversations. I am anti-symbol. I would not feel comfortable around thin blue line people mostly out of fear. That might be misplaced but that's what symbols can do.

I think that in this day and age, it is seen as divisive. Because of that, I don't think a department that is serving all people should use that as a symbol. I understand what it is originally intended to mean, as scrappinspidey2 described, and wish it had not been co-opted now for what I consider is almost an opposite purpose.
