Sorry; it was hard to figure out how to title this. I know the Peas love a true crime story. I scrolled the first 2 pages and don't think I've seen this, so apologies if its a repeat. It is ALL over my FB feed because she originally hails from Long Island where I am. This is the flyer: So a quick search led me to her FB and then her Instagram. Her last post was 2 weeks ago. Her bio says ⌓ traveling the world in our tiny van. The flyer doesn't make it sound like she actually traveled/lived in the van at all. Her IG was more telling. In her 2nd to last post, she tagged her boyfriend. Well, if you go to his page, there is no mention her disappearance and everyone is commenting on his posts "Where's Gabby?" Apparently if you haven't read any articles, he came home WITH the van, WITHOUT her. How do you not mention her at all, ever, in the last few weeks? Why are you not looking for her? Could you BE any more guilty? So, what do you think?

I have been peripherally following the story. Far too suspicious that he came home from the trip without her and without an explanation of her whereabouts.

Wow, I have not heard of this! Those pictures on both of their IGs are gorgeous. It is a very strange thing and IF he is not involved, then the comments on his page are ruthless and what a horrible thing. However, if they were traveling together, why didn't he report her missing? He has got to know something.

I just read a short article about this and planned to look into it more this evening. It does sound very suspicious.

I just saw this on Facebook this morning. Her family has a page to help find her. The boyfriend has a lot of explaining to do but sounds like he's not talking. And from what I read he's lawyered up too.

Oh yikes. So on further reading some of her IG posts, people are suspecting that maybe the boyfriend posted the last 6 or 7 things, NOT her. Just by the way the captions were phrased. Its all heresay of course, but you never know. I'll keep digging. And yes, I did read yesterday that he was already lawyered up.

Why are you not looking for her? Could you BE any more guilty? So, what do you think? I was watching this story on GMA this morning and thought the same exact thing as you...I mean, he should know why she isn't with him anymore...of course without knowing all the details, I can't say for sure but he sure is looking suspicious at the moment.

Her bio says ⌓ traveling the world in our tiny van. The flyer doesn't make it sound like she actually traveled/lived in the van at all. The flyer says they have "confirmation that she is no longer traveling in the van". It does appear in her IG, so I'm assuming they were both sleeping in it and setting up camp sites when possible. How can he arrive home and expect no one to question him on her whereabouts? I hate stories like this. I have no hope she is alive and will put all my thoughts to the family getting closure.

On the news last night a neighbor stated that the van had been towed from the BF's driveway.

I think I read that the last she was physically seen was in Salt Lake City, they left the area because of the heavy smoky air and travelled to Wyoming to go to Grand Teton NP. Her mother received texts from her saying they were going to Yellowstone but she doesn't know if it was actually her sending the texts. It is so unbelievable that the boyfriend would go home and not cooperate with police.

And yes, I did read yesterday that he was already lawyered up. He is living with his parents not terribly far from me in Florida and it's all over the news. He refused to come to the door this morning when the Police were there. His parents said he was "Unavailable". If you're innocent, why aren't you out looking for her? Assisting her parents or the police? Why do you already have a lawyer. He's apparently had the lawyer for a few days now.

After reading some of the posts on the Facebook link (I hadn't heard of this story previously) I think the boyfriend is guilty of something nefarious. Either she had an accident and he left her there to die or he killed her. There are too many red flags in the actions of this boyfriend when he came home with HER van without Gabby Petito, and refuses to talk to her parents, help with the investigation, and has basically just hid behind a lawyer. Not to mention the postings after a certain date that were supposedly by Gabby but people are saying that they don't match her style of writing. They are starting to speculate that the boyfriend wrote them posing as Gabby.
It just doesn't make sense to me any other way. I hope she is still alive somewhere, but I doubt it.

Look, if the police thought I might have killed or disappeared my girlfriend, I 100% would get a lawyer even if I had nothing to do with it. People simply do not understand the extent to which you can get yourself in trouble even when you are completely innocent.
That said, the actual circumstantial evidence suggests to me that he knows what happened to her.

It worked for Casey Anthony. Time, silence, denial, and lies all led to her not guilty verdict. Just like with Caylee, the police will have a hard time determining exactly when the young woman disappeared so where will they look?

Well I agree it’s super suspicious and there are a lot of questions.
That being said, even if he did nothing wrong (she stormed off after a fight or even just decided to make a change of plans) - and he realized he was going to be a suspect - seems it’s smart to hire a lawyer and not say anything.

He sure seems guilty as sin. He comes home in her van but doesn’t know where she is and won’t cooperate. With him traveling so far she really could be anywhere. I understand lawyering up but hope if he is innocent he could tell them where she was the last time he saw her but it sure doesn’t sound like that’s the case.

Seems to me they should be able to charge him with stealing the van at the very least.

Seems to me they should be able to charge him with stealing the van at the very least. Im guessing the owner (Gabby) would have to be the one to say it was stolen. He could have had permission to have it. I doubt his innocence, but I suppose its possible.

One theory I heard, which I don't believe, was that she went off with someone else. So maybe he is mad at her and not talking. But still ... how can you not say anything to anyone, especially her parents! This is such a bizarre story. I hope she is found safe, but I am not very hopeful about that. Poor girl!

He is guilty AF! I just hope they find her so they have plenty of evidence & so her parents know what happened to her. There will be surveillance video of him driving all the way from WY to FL, stopping for gas & food along the way...alone.

I don't understand how he can simply not talk to the police when a young women is missing and he was the last one with her.

I don't understand how he can simply not talk to the police when a young women is missing and he was the last one with her. That’s what I think too. If it was something innocent - they had a fight and she took off, throwing the keys at him and telling him to F off or similar- why wouldn’t he tell the police his story. His not speaking speaks volumes to me.
