I haven't done one of these in awhile! How is everyone?! I'm enjoying a night home alone! Dh is at his class reunion. I think it's his 40th? Yea, I didn't go. I'd rather poke myself in the eyes with sticks. I don't go to my reunions, so I'm not going to his! ha. He loves this sort of thing though, so off he goes with my blessing. I ordered take out, Took a bath, and now settling in to watch Bristol.
How is everyone else?

I wish my husband didn’t like reunions. He still looks good and is nice and thin, and has most of his hair. I think he goes just to make himself feel good. I went to a quinceneara just now. Was going to go to the reception but while we were there, DD started feeling hot and throat started hurting. So we’re home now. I feel bad for not going, but I guess things like this should be expected if you’re having an event.

I should add that we have the same reunion and know the same people. We graduated together (but didn’t know each other in High school. And I would love a night to myself.

We seldom go to reunions and have never been to each others. I may go next year if they have one. I'll have to look a bunch of people up on social media so I recognize them. I went to a funeral a couple of years ago and ran into two former classmates. They had changed completely. The only reason I knew either of them is that one was a family member of the deceased and the other one of the ministers. There were 300 people in my class so I guess we can't be expected to remember or know everyone anyway.
I've been in all afternoon. Went for my eye exam this morning and my eyes were the most dilated I ever remember. I had to wear sunglasses in the house! They are just about back to normal.
DH and I are going to watch another episode of Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. It's getting better, funnier.

I heard only murders is good!
My dh had 85 people in his class, and I had 55 in mine. So super super small. I never really fit in to any group in my school. I was smart, artsy, but played Varsity Volleyball...so yea. I was all over the place.

Thank goodness DH refuses to go to his class reunions. I went to my 10th but doubt I go to anymore. Maybe if we hit 50 years I’ll go, lol.
I have had a long damn week. My dad had a triple bypass surgery and he’s still in hospital. I’m the closest kid to help take care of him so it all comes down on my shoulders.
I’m in a mood today. Just tired and done with people, done with Covid, done with cleaning and cooking. Just done, lol.

Haven’t ever been in on these “chats” Just in from a walk with the dug and watching the Crown (watched the first season when it came out and didn’t continue)
Have never been to a class reunion….
Trying to decide on if I get offered a new position on Monday I will take it. It is the position I want but I have heard many horror stories about the advisor I would be supporting and the manager…….

My dad was in the hospital for 2 wks last month with 3 days home and then back again. My brother split it up, but at one point I had to threaten my brother that he NEEDED to come down and help, as I could not do it any more. I hope you get a break soon!

I know what you mean about reunions. I've only gone to one of DH's and one was more than enough. He went to a small Catholic High School but the dynamics were the same as if he would have gone to a regular size like I did. Needless to say, I also wanted to poke my eyes out. When the next reunion came up, I happily stayed home. Fool me once. I've never gone to any of my HS reunions but if I did, I wouldn't take DH. I don't want to spend all night explaining the back story of everyone I introduce him to. I also wouldn't want him poking his eyes out like I did at his.

Welcome! You aren't missing much with the class reunions. I've been to one. I think it was our 10 yr. I've been told that was too soon, and people were still too much in to how great they were, and as people get older it's less about what they have. ehh. I'm not sure. Aww. good luck on the position! That sucks that there are horror stories! sometimes you have to believe them...and sometimes...My dd interviewed for a job 3 yrs ago, and she asked,"what's the most difficult thing about this job?" and the lawyer said. "me" and it turned out he was. She worked for him for 2 yrs, then left. When she interviewed with a new laywer, asked the same question. He said the same thing! Me. but LOL'd. so she took a chance, and hasn't regretted it. She loves her new boss.

Just about ready to eat supper and watching CFL football.
Our graduating class has never had a reunion, in 40 years. I really don’t keep in touch with any of them, all 13 of them. Yes, our graduating class was 14 people. DH’s class has tried a couple of times, but it has never worked out. Anyone he might want to see, we see regularly any way.

Hi Ya'll....I'm just scrolling thru while having dinner and thought I would stop in to chat. Its been a long day. One of my girls had to be at school today at 7:15 for a debate tournament. Which meant I had to be up extra early to fix breakfast for her before I took her there. I am back up to hosting three girls this year (two from VietNam and one from China) Yay! so I am being kept very busy this year. Laundry and a trip to the grocery store rounded out my day. Now I am going to soak the rice for our dessert tomorrow (sticky rice with mangoes)and marinate the pork chops for grilled lemongrass pork. Then I plan to breeze through some episodes from season 13 of Dallas while I work on my counted cross stitch project. If its a nice day tomorrow I really need to clean up all the downed tree branches in the back yard that got knocked down with the storm earlier in the week and try to fix the pump on the fish pond that just stopped working. The "ex" called this morning to see if I was planning to come see him today....he has been texting me all week making out a list of things he would like for me to bring to him at the rehab place. I think he sometimes forgets we are divorced and that I am not obligated to take care of him! I told him "no"... I have never had any desire to go to a class reunion. I did go to one of my husband's about 30 years ago. That was one of the the most boring things I have ever done. I did run into one of my old high school classmates last week when I was down visiting my mom. Ran in to him in the middle of a cotton field we were walking around in... lol...I would not have recognized him if my brother had not told me who he was. He farms the land my mom owns. His son was picking cotton in another field down the road and he was going to have him take us for a ride in the cotton picker but then we couldn't find the right road to take to get to the other field. I was kinda looking forward to doing that...

It's my first time jumping in here too.
I've never been to my HS reunion either. I'm still in touch with most of the people I was friends with back then.
After a quiet day, I'm watching The Help while my husband watches nonsense in the other room.

Hi all. I need to go to the grocery store and am procrastinating. Maybe when I get back I’ll make myself a blended margarita. I’ve been to one reunion- it’s was dh’s 10th and I had given birth to our 2nd dd 10 days before. Dh been since been to all of his alone and loves them. My class has 20 kids (and was considered a large class). We never had any reunions. He would have loved going to mine if I had them, though. He loves social functions. We are pretty opposite that way 😂

I've never gone to any of my reunions. I didn't like most of them back then and I'm certainly not going to pay to see them now! My BFF lives out of state and the only other person I'd care to see, I see occasionally anyhow. I was a shy, smart kid. Picked on by the football players, cheerleaders and popular kids because I was quiet. Not worth stressing myself out again!
I'm watching Caribbean Life on demand and wishing I were on vacation!! DD is sleeping over my parents and DS is upstairs playing xbox, so DH and I get to pick what we want to watch all evening!

I hope he's doing ok now. It's really been touch and go. We keep hoping for some "good" news. He ended up with an abcess, and had to have a drain inserted 2 wks ago. He got the drain out friday, so that's good news I guess!! finally! He's just so tired and weak yet. I'm not used to my 81 yr old dad acting his age! it's hard. you know!

I moved my Sophomore year to another town, but had I stayed where we lived, there would have been 13 in my graduating class - and one of them was my twin brother.
