Another Sketch Savvy sketch My first sample is stretched to two pages but the first closely follows the sketch The second I rotated 90 degrees and finally I turned the sketch into a card The twist is to use a two word title or sentiment

AussieMeg , I too, love the colors of your layout and the calming atmosphere. linda , thanks for the sketch and your three examples. I like how the soothing blues relate to your river photos, and the colors of the Malibu sunrise. Thanks for including a card! This sketch lent itself to my daughter's colorful rock.

I finally completed a Sketchtember sketch! I had fun with this one; although cutting all the sentiment strips took a while. Not sure why I thought that was a good idea, lol.

jjpeapea - love it - those bright colours against the white really pop and are a perfect match the rock - she did an awesome job on it. Ryann - that sure was a ton of cutting but it looks fabulous! She has a beautiful smile!

Linda I love how each of your samples looks so different, the soft blues are super pretty and I love the bright pops of colour paired with the turtle. jjpeapea perfect paper choices for your photo, I really like the little pops of the neon in your photo mats. I've left praise for everyone else in the gallery.

Here's my take on the sketch (and I've straightened some of the wonky alphas up since I scanned this).

Chinagirl828 - I love how you used words instead of paper strips - looks fab! And your photos/journalling made me nostaligic for childhood holiday meals.

Ryann I LOVE all your word strips and their placement. What a cutie. scrappyrabbit such beautiful patterns in your strips. And you stitched it! I'm always scared to do that. Chinagirl828 Another peek into your mid century Christmas memories! I love all the titles standing in for strips. Very effective.

Here is my take on the sketch, Linda . I flipped it horizontally, and changed the orientation of the photo (which is 5x7 on mine). Two word title, so I got the twist, too. #20 Saying Goodbye by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I had all those little banners left over from when I was doing cards for the Crushing It cs class. That is a LOT of scraps to count, but I think I will take a point for each different pattern in the strips.
POINTS: one page created & shared (2) Sketchtember (2) + twist (1) + bonus (5). One photo (1) and one page (10) for the Donna challenge. P-3 Eleven patterns (11), P-5 journaling card (1), P-6 eleven scraps (11), P-7 dots (1), P-11 wood & metal (1) P-12 ephemera (1), S/I-1 three leaves (3), S/I-2 one rectangular photo (1), S/I-4 hearts & stars (1), C/M-5 Gittery leaves (1), T-1 banner die (1), T-6 inked edges (1). Total: 55

Linda, thank you for this sketch. I love using Susan’s sketches even though I don’t think I do them justice. I can’t believe you did 2 different orientations of the sketch plus a card. You are so fast and do lovely work. My favorite is the Suwannee River. I love the color down both sides of your 2 pager. jjpeapea, I laughed out loud as I saw the photo, then read the title. This is perfect! I love the colors you chose for the strips. What a uplifting note you have added too. I love this. AussieMeg, scrappyrabbit, Chinagirl828, grammadee and Ryann I left love in the gallery. Here is mine: Moab, Utah

I got out my mini Janome that I bought specifically for paper crafting . . . can not remember the last time I did that and it was fun. Had to read the directions to thread it properly. The papers are from a collection I got from a CKC convention way back around 2006 or so. Perfect colors for this. Everything is scraps wit the exception of 2 patterns I had to cut into to get the variation I wanted. Creative Memories letter stickers with 1998 on the back!

Here is my take on the sketch. Taking the twist for my title. Remember my photos are temporary printed on printer paper as I order the photos after I create the page.

grammadee the pouty face is so precious. Love your color scheme and all your nicely placed strips. nylene I LOVE your oval short strips with the shapes and colors of the wind-sculpted rocks in your photos. The round sticker seals the deal in my love for this layout. angel97701 Excellent colors in your strips, and pattern arrangement. Love the sewing! MARIBETHR very nice, elegant, sophisticated for the topic. Perfect.

Sketch 20 redone by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr I re-did mine, because I wanted to make it a companion page for another sketch. But the fringe paper is all one piece, so it was super easy to lift off the original page and glue it to a new one. I also simplified the layers behind the photos.

angel97701 - I lvoe how you're using old stash - I love that layout - the colours are fab! MARIBETHR - very classic looking page with the black/white/green colour scheme - I love the title lettering! scrappyrabbit - I liked your original layout but I think I like this version even more - glad that the fringe paper was easy to move.

So have you ever discovered you've already scrapped a photo? Welp, I did! So I easy peasy found another and printed it on my new Epsom PM400! Covered the original journaling with strips, and added a different title. Nice save if I do say so myself!
