Let's begin with this month's Special Challenge: CARDtober!
CARDtober! Each day there will be a new cardmaking challenge posted over on the stamping/Cardmaking board. Unless different points are listed in that challenge, count your points as follows:
*Create a card based on the challenge: 2 points
*Apply the twist to your card: 1 point
*PLUS: create the card AND use the twist for a bonus of FIVE points!
Completion bonus: complete at least one card for ALL the CARDtober challenges for a COMPLETION BONUS of FIFTY points.
Note: you have until Thursday, November 4th, to complete all of the cards to earn the completion bonus.
Now, the

PRODUCTS
P-1 Is it a GHOST? Use a see-through or translucent product on your project.
P-2 PL cards/Cut apart cards - 1 point for each one you use
P-3 eyelets and brads - 1 point for each one, 5 points for fancy shaped ones (like airplanes, butterflies, candy corn etc...)
P-4 6x6 paper pads - 1pt for every 6x6 paper you use on your project (it doesn't have to be used up or intact - but if it starts out as a 6x6 paper and you use it - it counts). 20 pt bonus for 'killing' a 6x6 paper pad (it's okay to have scraps leftover but no full/almost full sheets)
P-5 Get Inky - use ink in any manner on your project for 1 point
P-6 BOOP! My apologies in advance. Cathy Zielske likes to say "boop!" every time she adds a sequin or gem to a card. It's annoying. But it's catchy. And I'm doing a class with her this weekend so I'm guessing "boop" is gonna be cemented in my head for a while. So every time you "boop" a GEM, SEQUIN, ENAMEL DOT or NUVO DROP on a page or card, claim a point. That's right, 1 point per boop. But ya' gotta say "boop" while you do them
P-7 Stash diving - Use at least 3 items (eg paper, embellishment, stickers, NOT including tools, punches, inks...) that are over 5 years old on your project for 3 points.-
P-8 Mix it up! use any type of mixed media (mists, pastes, etc) that has to dry before you can continue on with your project. 2 points per media type because they have to dry!
P-9 In a line: Use washi tape, border stickers, Rub-ons that are designed to be linear in their application. 1 point per type
P-10 Tie it on . . . the ribbon or fiber kind! One point for each type of ribbon or fiber, 1 point per knot and 2 points per bow
P-11 Sparkles - Use glitter or shimmer on your project eg. glitter/shimmer paper, alphas or embellishments, actual glitter
P-12 "Just Stuff" card Create a card without any stamping, inking, or paper layers. Just embellishments. 1 pt for each embellishment used.
SHAPES/ICONS
S/I-1 Try a triangle. One point for each triangle on your project.
S/I-2 A Little bit spooky 1 point for each Halloween icon (ghost, witch, haunted house, etc)
S/I-3 Stars and bursts - 1 point per star or burst-shape (like asterixes) on your page, not including patterned paper, and not counting for splattering.
S/I-4 It's fall ya'll - use leaves! 1 point per leaf, not including in pp.
S/I-5 Spring is the opposite season! Well for North America and Europe anyway . . . so use flowers, 1 point per flower, not including pp.
S/I-6 Time for love--Yes there are fall and winter weddings, plus all other kinds of events to show love, 1 point per heart, not including pp.
S/I-7 Background Shapes - Take one point for each different shaped background element/mat on your project.
COLOURS/MOODBOARDS
C/M-1 Purple and Green. One point for each and a bonus of 3 points if you include both on one page or card.
C/M-2 Autumn is in the air - 1 point for brown, orange, yellow, red bonus of 5 additional points if you use all four on one project
C/M-3 Yeah Team! Use the school colors to create a layout or card. (ie our HS colors are Red, black, white) So it is dependent on the school, college counts too!
C/M-4 Citrus Twist - Use citrus colours on your project: green, yellow & orange. Take one point for each of these colours used, and a bonus 3 points if you use all three colours.
TECHNIQUES
T-1 Reverse layering. Let's see a photo or image behind layered frames. Like looking deep into a cave (or out of one)
T-2 Dying to get cutting - 1 point for each electronic die cut used on your project 2 points for each die or border punch you use on your project
T-3 inky antics - use ink in any way - stamping, edging, ink blending, splattering, smooshing - and claim one point per technique
T-4 fussy cutting fanatic - 1 point per item fussy cut.
T-5 Stitching: 1 point for pen, stamping or die cutting stitching, 5 points for machine or hand stitching.
T-6 Round the Bend - Use rounded edges on photos or background elements.
T-7 Rolled and Folded - Roll or fold the edges of your paper. One point per technique used.
WORDS/ Titles
W/T-1 Speak your gratitude. One point for every thankful type word on your page or project. Two points if it is in your title.
W/T-2 It is O-C-T-O-B-E-R. One point for each time one of these letters appears in your title, and a bonus of FIVE points if it includes the whole word.
W/T-3 Fall Y'all - 1 point for the word fall on your project
W/T-4 DIY title Create your title out of hand-writing, stamps or dies only - no pre-made letters/stickers
W/T-5 Mixed up titles - use 3 or more different types of lettering in creating your title - examples of types would include: stickers, thickers, stamps, dies, handwriting, computer generated, pre-made words in a thickers package, a die cut with a word in it. 3 points.
W/T-6 Tell a story or not-- 1 point for journaling, 2 points for up to 20 words, 2 points for 30 words and so on up to a max of 20 points for those who have a lot to say!
W/T-7 Journal stripes-- 1 point for journaling on stripes.
W/T-8 Sub Titles - use a title and a sub title on your page. They need to be easily definable eg. different size/font or in different places on the page.
THEMES
Th-1 pets - scrap your pets (or someone else's pets) OR use pet-themed product on a card
Th-2 Architecturally Speaking - 5 points for each project that is specifically about a building or a structure
Th-3 Halloween - 1 point each for orange, black, or purple on your project add a 3pt bonus if you use all three
Th-4 Happy Holidays! I'm still trying to work through Christmas... so scrap the holiday season!
Th-5 Past holidays too! Any day that is an holiday, 4th of July, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Easter, Canada Day, so on.
Th-6 Get outside! While the weather is still nice, any photo taken outside is worth a point.
Th-7 These are a few of my favorite things - Do a layout about favorite books, songs, food, place, person - - you get the idea.
Th-8 Grow up! Do a layout about your yard or garden - indoor or outdoor
TH-9 Be a sport. Scrap a sporting event. Or use sports images on a card.
Th-10 Hip Hip Hooray - Scrap those birthday photos. Take points based on how old the birthday person is eg. 0-19 years = 1 point, 20-29 years = 2 points, 30-39 years = 3 points etc
Th-11 Multi Generational - Take one point for each generation represented in your photos.
NUMBERS/SIZES
N/S-1 A perfect TEN. Include TEN of anything on your page or card for TEN points!
N/S-2 10-10=0 - 1 point for each project that only uses paper/cardstock (no ink, not enamel dots, no chipboard) just paper/cardstock
N/S-3 Patterned Paper Palooza - use 4 or more different patterned papers on your page or card, 4 points
N/S-4 Double UP! Create a 2 page layout for a bonus 5 points. They're hard!
N/S-5 Photo Size - Take a point for each different sized photo on your page.
"RECIPES"
Re-1 Modified Freaky Fast Friday Formula I am using one from a few years ago cuz the new one is not yet up at the Scraproom bog. Earn one point for each specific element. If you include all elements on one page, take a bonus of 5 points.
1. Cut FIVE pieces of pp, all different patterns but at least one PLAID, one in each of these sizes:
Four rectangles 8 x 2", 6 x 6", and 5 x 1"
One circle with diameter 2".
2. Choose a background sheet of cs in a coordinating colour.
3. Arrange the pp any way you like on your cs. ADD TWO photos, a TWO word title, and TWO lines of journaling.
OTHER
O-1 SKETCHtember ketchup! Complete a project for any SKETCHtember challenge and earn FIVE points.
O-2 frozen challenge - 10points/day for NOT spending
O-3 Broaden your Horizons - 5 points for each project you create that you submit to fulfill a challenge other than on the Two Peas Message Board
O-4 Get Together: 10 pts per hour of cropping with others either IRL or online
O-5 Past to Present - 1 pt for every photo scrapped that is 5 years old or older. Add a bonus 5 pts if the photo scrapped is of you!
O-6 Keep them in business- Two points per dollar (or your momentary unit) spent locally, meaning you either walk in and purchase OR do curbside delivery from a local store. One point per dollar spent online.
0-7 Use up those kits! Page kits, or class kits . . . get them out and put some photos on them! I have a few from a retreat I went to (ack 10/2019) that are still waiting to have the photos attached. I did print them, but mostly in the wrong sizes
Hence my new Epson PM400 will be real handy!
0-8 Print em paste em (copied from Linda) Every photo you print (or have printed) and get on a page earn one point.
