I can’t figure out how to find and choose her address? It pops up ny address and every other place I’ve ever sent something from Amazon but not Kayla’s 😒

You are SO sweet doing this. My heart goes out to her as this is nearly identical to what happened to my daughter. She never had a mentor either. She is now in her 2nd full year. It has been hard, and we have had many tears. I just sent her a link to this thread, and this is what she said:
"Organization bins. Those are like a must. Without those you can’t figure out how to organize things. I know for me it helps greatly to have everything labeled and easily accessible. Also a handwritten card. I know when I get a handwritten card, it makes my day! Remember, I didn't have a mentor when I first started, and it was awful!!"
And since all of the organization bins had been purchased, I ordered her the flat storage trays that will be delivered on Tuesday. Thank you for doing this for her. May she be blessed beyond words by all that she receives for her precious students. Thank you for doing this!!!!

Gift option not available but I finished out her book bins.  When I started in my room 22 years ago, it was much like hers. I vowed to not leave my room a mess when I leave. |

dani-Mani. Would you consider adding some Visa gift cards to the list. She could accumulate enough to purchase bigger items or even items at other stores. She could take advantage of deals at Sam’s, Costco, Target and Walmart. I used to take advantage of after-Halloween sales to stock my treat/prize box at steeply-discounted prices—little packs of play dough, bouncy balls, mini-puzzles—all those trick-or-treat options for those who didn’t want to give out candy.

Done. I'm a total sucker for teachers in underserved districts who have to outfit their classrooms out of their own pockets. My mom taught in East Harlem for 30 years and spent about 5000.00 a year on her classroom. But those kids, just like kids in rich districts, deserve it.

A few things are on their way. I just substituted in a classroom that made good use of the book boxes, so I ordered a set of those. They are not Prime Shipping, so may not arrive until the end of the week. What a wonderful thing to do. One of the teachers at my school inherited a HUGE room (probably 3 time the size of any other classroom in the school) from a teacher that retired after 25 years, and the retiring teacher had to leave during the pandemic so it was literally just abandoned. It was a nightmare for the new teacher to deal with.
Your friend should listen to the Social Studies podcast where he discussed teacher's closest. Might help her laugh at this situation for a bit.
