Had a cup of coffee tonight from Ractrac. It’s fresh ground when you purchase it. Might be the best cup I’ve had. DH gets it often and likes it a lot.
We are in need of a new coffee maker anyways. So maybe I’m thinking on that does the same thing. Any brand suggestions?

We love our Breville The Grind ControlWhat we like about it is you can brew anywhere from a cup of coffee to a full pot. You can use preground or beans. You can choose the strength from 8 settings. We bought one in 2007 and replaced it a couple of years ago, it wore out after 1000s of pots of coffee. My friend has a Hamilton Beach Grind and Brew and it makes a great cup of coffee as well but it does not grind the beans as consistently. All grind and brew machines are loud when they are grinding. I laugh at reviews complaining they are loud, what did you expect from a machine that grinds fresh beans? I find my Breville easier to clean then her Hamilton Beach. The Breville is a pricy coffee maker but solid and long lasting.

I have a Cuisinart with a grinder. I don't use the grinder anymore... First, it didn't grind the coffee into uniform pieces and the steam from brewing coffee would go up into the unused grind bits (that got everywhere) and make a gunky mess. It's easier to grind it with a separate grinder and dump it in, or to use pre-ground coffee Maybe things have improved with the newer models...

I do not have those problems with mine.

I downsized over the summer and have a very sall Krups machine and a small krups grinder. I drink one single cup of coffee daily and the only time I feel like I need a larger set up are the 7-ish days per year when my son and his partner visit. LOL on the noise. Grinders are LOUD! Every morning I go in the kitchen and start the coffee. Each and every time they go RACING upstairs as soon as the grinder starts. You'd think they'd get it, and just stay upstairs until after the grinding stops, but no.

I’m going to upgrade to a Breville with grinder. I have a separate grinder now and it ends up being a big mess. Coffee everywhere on the countertop after I fell the thingy.

I have a capresso machine that grinds and brews - love it! I was addicted to fresh brewed when my daughter - mostly her bf provided me with fresh coffee every morning over the summer - never really realized the difference. It's so much smoother.

I have a separate Capresso grinder and a Ninja coffee machine (makes cups or carafes). Best investments ever. The Capresso grinder is not noisy at all.

I have the Breville Barista Express (third one down in the link) and I cannot fault it. I love it so much, it's the best thing we've ever bought. 💕 If I had the money I'd buy the next model up, but I am very happy with this one. FrozenPea has the same machine that I have.
