Today’s sketch is brought you with giggles and gobbles, autumn/fall colors, and Thanksgiving!
The Sketch:
My layout has machine stitched (zigzag) down silk flower leaves and banner/tags in the upper left corner. I also used multi-looped twine for additional texture. Edges are inked.The small row of border banner tags are just a happy accident of coordinating pattern strip paper in the paper pack. I used two smaller 3x4 photos instead of the third 4x6. (Wesley does not like turkey!)
this is another sketch that you can do so many things with! If you don’t sew or don’t have a machine, try sewing by hand or just make “stitches” using a ruler and pen dash line! I also didn’t use a big title-there is a small title on the the journal block. I don’t do a ton of journaling on my pages-usually The Who, what, when, where. Sometimes I tuck a fuller story tag behind a picture or attach a note to the back of the layout. Today’s layout has Cricut written journaling, although I usually write it my own handwriting. I treasure my mom’s handwriting, I have so few examples hers—so I like to leave a little here and there of mine for my kids and grandkids.
