Hi everyone! Well, yesterday was an adventure! One of my cats vomited on my laptop and killed it! I live for my laptop when I'm at home! I opened it up and crossed my fingers ... Then I made an appointment at my nearest Apple store to buy a shiny NEW laptop (my old one is a PC) Old laptop came to life! I don't trust it so I'm keeping my Apple appointment ... a girl can always use two laptops PS: Cats are gross! This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I am seriously addicted to the computer Dd#2 got a new job working in a fitness place so we need to take back some cold weather clothing that we bought for her barn job that she'll be leaving (she also goes to university) ... she is sleeping over tonight as well ... it is up to her what we have for dinner so right now I have no idea what that will be How are your hives @sunnycamom? Hugs and positive thoughts to those who need them! What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a great Saturday everybody!

leannec kitty is just helping you get the latest and greatest lol! I got home late as they really had to watch me for an issues with the steroid medication. Allergic to prednisone and this is a relative drug I got. Legs are no longer red, hives have reduced in size but still there. Dh is picking up my topical higher dose cortisone cream and I have to keep taking benadryl till gone. Going to be a very long, groggy weekend. So very thankful for my family. The kids happily help out with chores and tasks and dh does a great job taking over my roles. I still will help here and there when I can. I'm a mom...it's in my blood lol Going to work on my cards between benadryl naps. Oh and watch football. Dh and dd are going to watch Dune on HBO MAX. Nice that some movies are being released on streaming apps while also in the theater. Have a good day guys.

And sorry for my outburst. That was just the icing on the cake and tipped me over.
I love you all and feel safe here. Y'all know I have seen some stuff and experienced medical trauma and witnessed my son dying.
So while it is easier for me to see some things, I do gage what I post as far as photos. My view point is different.
But I don't like being told my story is not for here. My stories made me who I am. They are important to share because my son is a rareity. And gives hope to sooooooo many others.
And we'll I am proud as poop of him.
And me. Because it's been a journey. A very hard one. And I have had to overcome a lot.

leannec animals just having a way of vomiting in exactly the wrong places. Finn hit my futon and my couch with vomit the other day. Poor dog I guess had an upset stomach. Your meme is funny! I often feel like that too. I have you guys! @sunnycamom I'm glad you are feeling better and the hives are going away. Sucks that you need to keep taking Benadryl and you will be groggy all weekend. Jeremy's girls are coming over soon. We want to carve pumpkins. I'm worried they are going to think it's lame. The kids are all getting older and I know that sometimes the old traditions just seem too little kid for them at times. We will have a chicken bacon ranch pasta for dinner. It's an emeals recipe that I've never tried before. I really dig emeals. I've been using them for over a year now. They give me fresh ideas each week.

@sunnycamom don't stress yourself about it. We have discussed all manner of things here. I'm sure you guys don't always like hearing about my mental health issues and those of my kids either. But it's such a part of my life. Sometimes it totally dictates how my day is going to go. It's such a part of who I am I'm not sure if it's mental illness or personality anymore. It's so intertwined.

Right before I went to bed last night I got an email from Facebook saying they have locked my account because of some suspicious activity. So I get to deal with that.
We're supposed to get some heavy rain and flash floods tomorrow when we're driving home. Fun times.
Tonight will be soups and salads.

jeremysgirl I feel it is important to have listening pea ears for us all. Just knowing we are being heard is important. And the hugs and suggestions and kind comments are great. Keep sharing pea foodies. Let it out. Vent. Friendship isn't all rainbows and yummy food. It is heartache and trauma and good days and bad days and everything in between.

My dd's would still carve pumpkins if we bought them and they are 18 and 22! OK, there is not the same enthusiasm but they like the tradition

It's been a quiet day for me. I cleaned my refrigerator and meal prepped a couple of things. After that ordered groceries and put them away. Rest of the day I am going to work on some crafts and make some cards I need to mail out.
I was going to cook chicken but hubby just told me he wants corndogs for dinner.

Hi Everyone, Happy Saturday! I read last night; but didn’t get a chance to post. Yesterday, I did laundry, DH and I went to pick up ODS at 3:30 and went to a Flea/Farmers market. YDS met us there. DH and I walked around and both DSs walked around together. We bought some fruits, vegetables and meats. We ate fish sandwiches there for dinner. We also picked up my ring. I will post a picture separately. Then last night we watched a documentary on Solo Climbing. It is one of my ODS’s favorite documentaries. This morning, the boys went and picked up breakfast sandwiches and coffee for breakfast and we watched another documentary about the 1987 created game called Mike Tyson and how 1 man beat everyone else and finally some beat him. Dinner tonight is up in the air. It depends on what and the amount of food that the boys eat. leannec Yuck. Poor kitty must have not been feeling well or upset that you pay more attention to your computer than him/her. Your meme is so cute. @sunnycamom I am glad that your hives are being treated. jeremysgirl Have fun carving pumpkins. quiltz Huge Hugs to you my dear. You can PM me if you need to talk.

Here is the story behind the ring. The 3 diamonds represent 30 years together. They also represent us and our 2 sons. The metal on the side is intertwined as a ribbon and it represents our 2 lives intertwining and becoming one.

Pets are funny with vomiting. My little Chloe is an absolute rockstar with potty- she’s almost 9 and never had an accident but her tummy gets upset and she will throw up sometimes - and it’s always on carpet even though we have most hardwood than carpet. Oh well. Glad to hear you are on the mend @sunnycamom Enjoy your new laptop leannec - keep the old one as a vomit decoy for kitty I’m having a lazy morning and loving it. I was going to do a big grocery shop today but heard my area is going to have a huge storm Sun/Mon with power outages expected so now I am not motivated to fill my fridge and freezer with food that could go bad… I think dinner tonight will be leftovers to use up what we have. Happy Saturday, all. Thanks for sharing your selves and your life- the good and the hard parts. That’s what family does. ❤️

wow.. I haven't worn a diamond ring since I lost my diamond out of a ring 35 yrs ago.. just the plain gold band.
I got up and popped a batch of egg muffins in the oven. I have been meaning to make them for like 4 days. this afternoon, when the rain hits, I am going over to an open house.. my friends are selling and I want to see it staged. getting our boosters tomorrow. so tonight it is some variety of chicken and broccoli. unsure exactly what.
we will see....

We have had a fun day. We managed to get tickets for the football (soccer) today, our first home game since lockdown started last March that they were allowed to have a full stadium, and the last one before seasons tickets will take effect again, so tickets will become harder to come by. It was cold but sunny, but most importantly we won 4-0.
Dinner tonight is Asian spiced pork with noodles. It's already past 6pm, so I guess DH will start cooking soon.

leannec, don't get me started on cat vomit. It's a daily issue at our house. No need to apologize @sunnycamom. There was nothing wrong with yesterday's post We all have our days and I'm just glad you're feeling a bit better. Beautiful ring! destined2bmomWell, I did it: I bought an air fryer. Ordered it on Amazon at 8:00 a.m. yesterday and it was delivered about 6 p.m. My rule is "one thing comes into the house, and one thing goes out." (Even though I'm the only person in the house who abides by this rule!) I bought the Cuisinart with the toaster, so my old toaster will go to the Goodwill. My first potato wedges are cooking now. Hopefully I'll fall in love with it. The IP I bought 4 years ago has been used fewer than 12 times. We are lazy today. I'm just puttering. We'll watch the Braves about dinner time. Steak and veggie for DH and TBD for me. Happy weekend.

destined2bmom what a beautiful ring! Love the meaning behind it. 30 years is indeed a milestone. @sunnycamom hope it resolves today. We ate out at a fish restaurant last night and I got hit with what I think is food poisoning in the middle of the night. So the brat diet for me today and maybe some chicken noodle soup later.

Headed to my nephew's wedding shortly. I think I picked beef for my entree. Should be interesting seeing my ex-sister in law and her dysfunctional family. NOT one of her siblings nor her father ever acknowledged my dad's death. Her mom (who has NO relationship with any of her kids--long story) wrote my mom the nicest note. I am just hoping it all goes well today. I'll let you know!!

leannec that really stinks!!! Cats can be such a treat sometimes… @sunnycamom and anyone else, share all you want! It’s real life, and real life can be bad sometimes. I know I’ve been whining more than my normal personality usually does in life, but I’m in a down turn and need to get it out. We all have moments. Today has been some errands to the eye doctor to pick new frames, drop off of old medicine at the police station drop box, the library, bank and grocery store. Bought myself a pizza, came home and put it in the oven. The oven is now self-cleaning, and I made a batch of bean burritos to freeze for lunches and snacks. Now, my feet are up and I’m watching a Lifetime movie. I think later I’m going to work on sorting heritage photos for a while. We might have a fire tonight, as it’ll probably be the last good weekend for it. Happy Saturday!

leannec Yuck. Poor kitty must have not been feeling well or upset that you pay more attention to your computer than him/her. That kitty is borderline bulimic ... she vomits all.the.time. I love her A LOT but she is a PITA My computer is important as I live alone and it is my main source of entertainment in the evenings

Thanks for sharing your selves and your life- the good and the hard parts. That’s what family does. ❤️ so perfectly said! We are having a lazy day. I'm blaming the weather as it is cool and gray, making it hard for me to want to do much more than curl up with a book. DH and I almost went to the Farmers Market but decided we really didn't need anything. I'm trying really hard not to waste any food, especially produce, these days and he gets excited and buys things we already have. And with the thought in mind, dinner will be curried butternut squash soup because there is a butternut squash waiting impatiently for me to cut into it. @sunnycamom, I gave up carving pumpkins after our second year in San Diego. They were so gross and rotted by Halloween.
