Should I add Fluff to the title?
Alison Lumbatis at GYPO suggested blanket scarves are no longer trending. Is this true for lighter weight scarves? I wear a lot of solids and add interest with a scarf, sometimes on my bag.
My age shows in my neck, the dainty necklace trend hasn't been my friend this time round so I've been glad scarves had a comeback.
What do you think?

Lordy, I hope scarves aren't out since I own eleventy billion of them and wear them every day. Now blanket scarves...I have tried to wear them, and I think I just look awful in them. I like them, but they are too overwhelming for my face I guess.

LOL I'm gonna keep wearing my cute infinity scarves and stuff because I'm a basic ass fall/winter bitch and I don't care!

Scarves are TERRIBLE for me- I'm broad shouldered and 99.9% of the time it just adds bulk - no idea if they're in or out, but they're always a heck no for me.

If you want to wear a scarf, if you like to wear a scarf, and it makes you happy...WEAR one. I dont follow clothing trends. I wear what *I* like and proudly.

I hate things around my neck so I dont wear scarves.
If you like scarves, wear them. If you dont like scarves, dont wear them.
I dont let other people decide what I wear. 🤷🏼♀️

They are still popular in Europe. Everyone here wears a scarf. It was 65 degrees last week—I don’t know how they can stand it! One of our Turkish ladies had a blanket scarf on in class last Monday. She got several compliments and I thought it was really cute.

I love scarves! I have stopped wearing my infinity scarves because I feel like my neck isn't long enough for the bulk. I do like the long rectangle scarves though and love to wear them different ways. I especially like a fringe on them. I think throwing on a scarf in the fall/winter really elevates and makes an outfit look more stylish.
And yeah, I can't do the dainty necklace thing. My face/head is too big. I have broad shoulders too, but I feel like a scarf helps balance things out and creates a vertical line.

I find blanket scarves to be difficult to wear because they are typically more square than long and rectangular. That being said, I’ve got something around my neck from now until May, because I have short hair, and when my neck is cold, I’m cold. The past couple of years, I’ve transitioned to cashmere wraps from patterned scarves, because I think a lot of them read old lady.

I think they have been replaced by long necklaces. Personally I have a short neck so scarves don't really work for me.

I have a few and will still wear them occasionally, but I feel like I don’t ever wear them well. I hate when it feels like I have something just sitting on my chest. I have a small chest but somehow they just don’t seem right, and I’ve tried wearing them a zillion ways.

In the colder months, I have a few heavier, infinity scarfs that I wear. Sometimes even over a plain sweatshirt. I feel very comfortable doing this and like the look to do my running around errands.

I had to look up what a blanket scarf was. I rarely wear a scarf. The only time is usually when I go somewhere where they have snow. There have been a few times I've been outdoors in the winter that I wish I had one, but it doesn't happen often.

Some types of scarves are timeless classics. Someone tell Hermes that scarves are “out”, lol. But definitely length/bulk/print makes a difference.
I like some that I have and I’m retiring a few others. But it’s pretty hard to get through a CT winter without wearing a scarf indoors and out!

I love to knit scarves so have a lot but don’t wear them often living in Southern California. I wear cowls more often as they are less bulky.

My neck is short (like the children's song of head and shoulders- neck not mentioned) and broad so I really do look somewhat head/shoulders where-in-tarnation is her neck? No matter how trendy I don't' wear a scarf unless it serves a utilitarian need such as outside on a very bitter wind winter day. I also do not wear collared shirts/dresses, necklaces- not dainty or chunky, turtle necks, cowls, etc. A henley neckline is as tall as my neck apparel gets.

In or out, I don't care. I'll keep wearing them. lol Me too! I love scarves. I tend to buy a lot of solids and my scarves add interest to an otherwise boring outfit. I used to wear them to work at my last job. The first day I started there, I had on a favorite scarf. Toward the end of the day my new boss asked me where I got it. I told her. She ended up mentioning that she tried three different stores and couldn't find it. I just happened to be in my store the following week and found one exactly like mine. I took a chance and bought it for her as a favor. She was thrilled. What I didn't expect is that she then asked me about my skirts and jackets too. She began building a wardrobe that was matching mine. That felt weird. And more than once I arrived at work to see her wearing my same clothes. But she was my boss. What could I say? Fortunately one of the skirts that she copied was a reversible one from Coldwater Creek. When I arrived at work to find her in it, I just went to the restroom and reversed mine. And on the days that she was wearing the same scarf and I was, I removed mine. Was I being courteous? Yes. Was I irritated? Yes!

As something warm around your neck? In. As a fashion accessory? Out. And I’ve never been a fan of blanket scarves. In the winter in my chilly house I’m often wearing a soft Infiniti scarf.

I like any chance I can find to cover my neck, so I’ll still pull some of my favorites out in cool weather. I never went for blanket scarves, though. I’m way too hot natured for that.

I absolutly love the look of scarves on other people. The times I have tried I just can't pull it off. I alway feel like they look weird on me. But I think they are classic and one of those things that will never go out of style.

Some types of scarves are timeless classics. Someone tell Hermes that scarves are “out”, lol. I have a pretty healthy collection of silk scarves, both new and vintage, and wear them all the time. This summer I did an edit and got rid of the less expensive and more trendy scarves. Blanket scarves are a totally different category from a classic silk scarf. I like them but never have been able to wear them as they are just too much for a petite person, but do have a few pashminas and smaller versions of a blanket scarf. If someone still likes and enjoys wearing blanket scarves, then go for it!

Trends? Do they even matter?
I thought the thread was going to be about if you should wear your winter scarf tucked in or out and all I could think of was my Dad always warming to tuck our s raves in so we wouldn’t get them caught on something and strangle ourselves. And I was going to pop in that with a few precautions out should be fine in certain situations.

I still see a lot of people wearing them around here. They don’t work for my body - they accentuate my already giant teeters. And they make me too hot. So they don’t work for me, but you wear what you like!

I have a pretty big collection of silk scarves, mostly Hermes and some Alexander McQueen. I also have a bunch of winter scarves, lots of cashmere. It gets cold where I live, so I need a scarf when I walk the dog, starting now until spring. So whether they’re in or out, I’m wearing them!
