Welcome to November ComplicatedLady, jjpeapea, katiekaty, schroema, azcrafty, scrappyrabbit, Chinagirl828, angel97701, Neisey, and @sunnycamom! I can't believe we are heading into the holidays again already. I'm not ready lol. grammadee, kitbop and I have been brainstorming for 2022, how to keep the challenges interesting, motivating, and contemplating changes. One thing we've talked about is a rotating schedule of team leaders. While I love leading a team and participating, it's nice to just relax and enjoy playing. We were thinking of blocks of 3 or 4 months per leader. If anyone is interested, you can PM me or reply here in the thread and we can discuss. Are there things that you would like to see to keep the challenges motivating for you? Changes you would like to see? We are open to everything What plans do you have for creating this month? Prepping a December album? Christmas cards? Or maybe handmade gifts? I'm working on finishing up some WIP and hope to make more time to create than I have the past few months. Which is crazy considering the time of year lol. And yes, yes, yes we go back to Standard Time this weekend! I'm so happy about that, I just feel better overall when we are Standard Time. If there's something you want to challenge yourself to use, or complete, set a challenge. Two days left to get them on the board!

Same about the time change! I need the sun in the morning, not darkness. It's about 7am before the sun starts to really peak up. Next week it will be 6am so yay.
I am working on cards for the swap - 13 more to go to reach 100.
After that I want to make 2 wreaths. One for my KC Chiefs and one for dh's Buffalo Bills team. Will see ds reaction and if he wants one for the Packers. If my dad likes it, I will make him one for the USC Trojans.
I also need to work on scrapbook layouts. Been a hot minute since I have done any. I notice late fall into winter I scrapbook more. Shorter days, cooler, rain, etc. My summer activities take a back seat to staying in more.

I notice late fall into winter I scrapbook more. Shorter days, cooler, rain, etc. My summer activities take a back seat to staying in more. Weather also has this effect on me. As we're heading into summer our weather is much nicer so I've been spending my time out in the garden and working on house projects. I'm still hoping to find some time to create, it just won't be this afternoon as the neighbour is playing some very loud music that is not to my taste. I'll be working on Christmas cards this month. I kind of have an idea of what I want to do, so just need to make one as a trial run, and if it looks ok, I'll pull out my silhouette and start batch cutting.

I love the cooler weather and staying home, it's my favorite time of year. I'm not making my cards this year, I'm taking the lazy way out and buying them *I think*. Of course all the lovely cards in the gallery always change my mind lol.

Happy November! It is getting super chilly here in the mornings, but is still heating up nicely during the daytime. I am hoping to finish some layouts before I go out of town this weekend. November is a busy month overall with family stuff but I am motivated to get some scrapping done before the year ends!

Happy Finally Friday! Although this year the work weeks are flying by right along with all other time lol. Does anyone have scrappy plans? I have a quiet weekend with no people planned so I'm really hoping to get a few half finished pages done. scrappyrabbit we are having similar weather and I love it. My favorite days are the ones where you need a jacket in the morning and then it warms up enough to go without during the day. It's not getting quite that warm now, but the sun still comes out and it's nice. I am so looking forward to the long Thanksgiving weekend, even though there is not as much downtime as I imagine there will be.

I'm planning to spend some time scrapping today. I was hoping to get a little gardening finished this morning but we had the biggest downpour last night and all my gardening stuff (which I'd left undercover at the back door) got drenched in the rivers of water we had. It's probably not a bad thing, my muscles are complaining from the gardening I did yesterday

Aloha everyone! We just spent a weekly in sunny hot Hawaii on Oahu. Wonderful weather, almost too warm with the humidity. Daily dip in the ocean and pools definitely helped. I wore heavey duty sunscreen so didn't get burned at all, and just a little color. DS had a good time as did DH. The big ticket for DH was visiting all of the Pearl Harbor exhibits and Memorials. I went with him. For DS it was an amazing zip line excursion (DH & I really enjoyed it too!), for DSD it was hiking Koko Head . . . which I also did and paid for it with very sore legs for the rest of the week! For me it was a dusk paddle with lights on our Stand Up Paddle boards and seeing wild turtles, DH went ahead and stayed behind and saw 11 turtles, I saw about 6 or 7. Lots of memories to scrap. However, I realize I took NO photos of us at the beach Guess I will have to do a journal page, LOL. I need to get a DT project done tomorrow, then back to Christmas cards. I will send a combo of hand-made and ones that came for free from charities that send them out. Need to count how many more I should make. I did start earlier in the year, so inventory would be a good idea. Also need to do a little theme shopping for our Hawaii album. The LSS in Honolulu closed the day we arrived after 25 years in business! Did laundry today, unpacked, etc after sleeping in. Very thankful for the extra hour tonight. Hawaii is 3 hours behind, so coming east is tough to adjust back.

Thanks angel97701 for kind of taking us vicariously on your vacation! Sometimes it's great to just experience the events and not let a camera lens get in the way. Earlier last week my daughter and I went to a different neighborhood to get some Craigslist Legos and the houses were so cute we decided to walk there someday. Yesterday was the day. The houses were built in the late 1950's with pitched roofs, big windows, stone foundations. It was a beautiful day for walking, sunny, still, crisp air. I love the sound of shuffling through leaves. Later yesterday we finished our Lego project. My Amazon package came and I forgot it was a surprise for her and I opened it in front of her. It was a big Lego camper set. I put it away right away but she won't forget. I'm annoyed with myself for that. My husband went to the bowling alley/pool hall for the first time in 18 months and came out with an armful of pool cues. He is their unofficial cue fixer and billiard balls polisher. He already fixed the easy ones and returned them. I am almost done with the November Sheetload. I hope to finish them later today and post them. My Persnickety Prints came in the same mail as the Lego camper so I hope to work on my pocket pages later today. I have photos chosen but not printed for Sketchy Saturday. I can't think of any paper in my collection that seems perfect, so I'll shuffle thorough it later today. I might end up making a trip to Michael's.

Good Morning team! Man this week is getting away from me and I'm not sure how or why! angel97701 your trip sounds amazing! And it literally looked and sounded amazing when you popped in to say hi during the crop the other night! I can still hear the ocean I hope it was relaxing and the recharge you need! jjpeapea your adventures gathering legos sounds fun. I love walking through old neighborhoods like that. There are very many near me. Mostly newer subdivisions. I remember the first time I went to South Bend, being struck by the older neighborhoods, it was pretty cool. I'm sorry you opened the gift in front of DD, even though she won't forget, maybe it will ramp up the anticipation. I spent last Saturday online scrapping with my mom and niece. My niece has three young children and seldom gets time to scrap. So when she spur of the moment had Saturday, I couldn't say no lol. I even finished a layout from start to finish and that never ever happens. Now I'm trying to work out when I can get another big chunk of time like that this weekend, between regular chores and a sleepover/lunch date with my grandson. I also really need to start pulling supplies for JYC as I once again attempt a December album. I never seem to be scrapping the season I'm actually in. Right now I'm still working through the page kits I put together in September. It might be time to set those aside for the rest of the year. I hope you all are having a great week! It's been beautiful the past few days, but the cold and rain have moved in. I wonder if I should take the day off from work....hmmmm.... probably not but it sure is tempting! lol.

I’m still trying to get my scrapping and crafting mojo back. However I’ve decided to do a November purge and on November 1st, I got rid of one item, on November 2nd, I got rid of 2 items, etc. It’s November 11th and I’m still on track and got rid of 11 items—which I’m proud of and I can’t lose momentum. I have some ideas to print pictures and scrapbook, but we’ll see if it happens. I did also post a challenge so I scored the team at least one point! Woot woot!

It sounds like you had a wonderful trip angel97701, and the experience with the turtles sounds amazing! I like the idea of purging the number of items by day ComplicatedLady. I hope you're still keeping up and manage to find your mojo. I haven't really been scrapping this month. I'm currently working on editing and resizing photos for printing to catch a sale that ends on Monday.

I went through such a dry spell this year, from April to September. It was horrible. I hope your mojo comes back soon. I wish I was a purger because my stash feels ridiculous right now. I did a huge purge about 4 years ago, some of it I gave to my mom. And I ended up asking for it back LOL! So I tend not purge anymore lol. Most things I buy with a vague idea of how I would use them, so now I just hang on to things. Chinagirl828 photo editing is the worst task in my mind. I have some I need to edit and print and I just keep putting it off. Even though it's something I really want to scrap! I have so many photos that are ready to go, I just pull from those instead lol. Good on you for getting it done and for a sale! It's really cold here today so I will definitely be scrapping after I get some chores out of the way. I'll be hosting a crop this evening if anyone wants to join in!

It's my birthday! Yeah . . . but have chores and other stuff to do before I can have just me craft time! I did spend some time doing a page yesterday. With my new little Epson PM400 I choose a photo and finished the page from there! I had decided I needed a closing page for DSD's 2010 album, and I had a single photo with no theme. Headed to my stash and I had die cut paper with her name I purchased at a convention back in 2006, and some closely matching patterned paper in the same organizer. Ta Dah! Will photograph and post soon. Also made the November Sheetload totally from Christmas paper scraps, and got 11 cards started. Still have the sentiment and squiggle to finish up.
Headed to my work out with my trainer, then have some business work to do this afternoon. Did a few garden chores this morning, that felt good. Need to get some more greens going in the greenhouse and plant peas and carrots which do well over the winter in the greenhouse.
Smiles!

Happy birthday angel97701! I hope you've had a wonderful day! Chinagirl828 photo editing is the worst task in my mind. I have some I need to edit and print and I just keep putting it off. Even though it's something I really want to scrap! I have so many photos that are ready to go, I just pull from those instead lol. Good on you for getting it done and for a sale! It is hands down my least favourite part of scrapping. I always have good intentions about editing and preparing photos regularly so when a sale comes up I can just upload and print rather than spend (literally) hours working on photos, but I never follow through when I can do more fun things.

Hello everyone! I haven’t done a single scrappy, card-y, crafty or sew-y thing since about the fourth! I have had several doctors appts-just followups, so fun to find out all the chronic stuff is stable and just to maintain which is nice. Working on vaccines this month. Flu, shingrix, pneumonia and tdap are all due sometime in the next two months so while I was on a biological break, it is time to do those to get the most effect. In a few weeks I will resume all the rheumatoid/psoriatic arthritis meds and should be good again. As a nurse, these vaccines are require to be kept up to date. I don’t like being off the biological—my body is crunchy and achy and stiff and Unmotivated!
Starting tomorrow I am back in the craftoom daily , got lots of scrapping to do. Will be sharing and catching up and earning some points this month!

Happy birthday angel97701! I don't mind photo editing. I usually do it while the family is watching TV shows that don't really capture my attention. I'm looking at you, crime shows. katiekaty hope your craft room time is pleasurable and productive. I did my pocket pages for October. They're not very special. I did make one cute title for a fishing picture of the grandson. I made some birthday cards for requests over on the NSBR board. Pretty day here today. I'm trying to decide to walk to my errand today. I need the exercise but I'm being careful with my foot and knee.

This has been a really slow month for me too. I have one pocket page on my desk that I've been playing with for several days, but my desk is a disaster zone (so unlike me, I hate working in a mess) so tidying up and organising an overflow of supplies is on my to do list for today. Then maybe I can actually finish that page in progress!

Good Morning Team! How's everyone doing? katiekaty I hope you had some time in your craft room and that you are feeling alright! I can sure relate to those slow crafting months. I had a good amount of them this year. I have a two page now waiting for journaling, and several others finished that I haven't taken the time to post. Oddly this has been my most productive month in a long time. This time of year I normally set scrapping aside to jump on the holiday ramp to Christmas lol. I've scaled the holidays down drastically this year to lessen the self imposed stress of it all. I hope to stay a little creative and have more downtime than usual this year. This past weekend was busy with family everyday, but it's a short work week and I'm happy about that! ETA: I just popped over to the gallery and it's so fun to try to guess whose layout is whose from the thumbnails. I love learning everyone's styles.

I love looking at the gallery and knowing who has shared new pages just from the thumbnails, it's funny how you start to see the little things that really identify someone else's style.
It has been a super quiet month for me, I think I've literally only done one page so far. We've had some nicer weather and I've been trying to tame the weeds in the garden. I have a giant load of mulch coming some time tomorrow so will be back outside for the weekend getting that spread on all the garden beds.

Happy Black Friday! Anyone have their eye on anything specific? I do not. It would totally be shopping to shop. But that won't stop me from looking at everything lol. I'm waiting for Elle's Studio and Everyday Explorer sales to go live. Yesterday was crazy busy. I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for the first time in years. I usually get the Bob Evans holiday meal and we reheat and eat LOL. Today I will get out and do a little shopping for home decor and a couple of gifts. Then host a crop on google meet this evening if anyone wants to join in. I hope all the US peas had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Chinagirl828 in a few short weeks I'm going to be so envious of your weather lol. But not the yardwork lol. My productivity will come to a screeching halt after this weekend, with the baking, and shopping and run up to Christmas. I'm going to get as much scrapping in this weekend as possible.

Oh my goodness, I have bought all the things this year. Cocoa Vanilla had a sale so I've picked up some pieces that I've loved and wish I still had in my stash, along with a couple of things I hadn't previously bought. I placed an order with an online lss for albums and page protectors and some of the SS Hearth and Home collection. I ordered albums I couldn't get from that lss from sb.com along with a couple of other things. And I placed an order with Elle's Studio for labels and some journaling cards and grab bags. I find their stuff really easy to use with lots of good basics so I'm really looking forward to receiving that box.
And now I am most definitely back in the freezer!

First Happy Thanksgiving a day late!
Whew, made it through the week! DS had a really rough weekend last weekend, and we spent about 24 hours in recovery. DSD was here and made some suggestions based on her experience as an ICU nurse that were very onpoint and helpful. DH was away on business on from Sun evening through late Tuesday night. I was borderline sick on Monday Tuesday, Wednesday it started to set in, and I was absolutely miserable yesterday. Thankfully MIL offered to cook a week earlier. So I did the three items for the meal and called it good! We stayed a few hours, and came home. DS has been working on his HUGE D11 Bulldozer LEGO set he received for his birthday on 11/19, I built my Flower Bouquet LEGO while he was working. It was a good mindless crafting activity that I could handle with a virus brain. No, I've not been tested for COVID, but I more the symptoms of a classic cold rather than the tell-tale symptoms of COVID. No fever, no loss of taste or smell. DS had a minor cold last week too. With the stress of the weekend my body just let it roll So not much crafting, but I did post previous projects I've complete prior to this week.
Hum, tomorrow is Saturday, maybe I'll be up to cropping with the group tomorrow.
Black Friday Sales? Yep, did the online crafty thing, Concord & Ninth, Pink Fresh, Taylor Expressions, Lego, Lowe's for tools for DH, and sheets from Macy's. I went to pick up curbside the tools for DH and sheets. Did a little shopping at Michaels as the storage is usually on a killer sale. a Few years back I bought the washi tape storage box for $15, today it was a photo storage box for $15 which I use for things other than photos. Purchased some glass pebbles for the vase for the LEGO Bouquet, photo albums at buy one get one 1/2 off, and some other storage containers. The 20% coupon worked on it all Also went to Hobby Lobby and just missed the really long lines. I had a gift card from my birthday so I did purchase a few Christmas decor items, a stamp set, and an ornament die.

angel97701 I hope you all feel better soon! Lego flowers sound very interesting. And Wow! you guys cleaned up! I grabbed a couple of stamps at FYC, and one at SC and some printables from the digitalpress. Joann has 50% off all paper crafting but I only came home with some white cardstock and a zig glue pen. Nothing has been catching my eye lately, but I see lots of stamping in my future lol. I'm not sure how much crafting I'll get done between now and the end of the year, I spent last nights crop time addressing Christmas cards and putting nuvo drops on waxed paper lol. I can't believe Christmas is less than a month away. I should really be putting up the tree this weekend. It feels like there should be more time before it's here lol.
