Hi everyone! Since 2020, we've been running regular virtual crops which have been a lot of fun. Many of us find that a crop encourages us to sit down and create, in addition to being a lot of fun to connect with friends! Until Summer, msliz was keeping our schedule organized, but we went on hiatus for Summer and forgot to get going again! We're going to start the schedule going again, and hope lots of peas will join in and even offer to host. These crops are for: Peas, Former Peas, Sisters and Friends of Peas, Pea Lurkers who are happy being Lurkers, and Nice people in general. TO JOIN A CROPBefore the start time for each crop, look for a thread on the General Scrapbooking board, posted by the day's host, with a link to the crop. We use Google Meet, so you'll only need to sign into your Google account in order to join. And you can hop in or leave at any point, so if you only have a few minutes and you just want to share your coffee break with us, we'd love for you to visit. Or settle in for a long stay with your papercrafts, your knitting, or your cross stitch. We just like to chat while we get our crafty on. Although sometimes there's companionable silence too. We're an easy going group and WE LOVE SEEING NEW FACES. TO VOLUNTEER TO HOST CROPS gramma is paying for an upgraded gmail account to allow us to host these crops on google meets without time limits. We need volunteers for these to run!!! If you volunteer: 1. We will tell you the 2Peas gmail account and password to open a google meet 2. You will post the link to the meet on the general scrapbooking board, naming the thread something like "Saturday Nov. 13 virtual crop - OPEN!" 3. You will need to "admit" peas to the meet when they arrive 4. If you need to leave the crop, you can close your own meet and the peas already there can continue on 5. If you need to leave the crop and want someone else to take over the crop hosting role, they can sign in under the google account and take over from you. You don't need to start a new google meet. So for example, say an EST pea is hosting 6-10pm and is ready to go to bed. A PST pea can sign in at 9:45 and take over, to keep the crop going and admit newcomers until whatever hours they choose. 6. If you cannot commit to the full time of hosting, or want to propose a different time, go ahead 7. If nobody joins you and you want to leave, just close the meet and leave a note in your crop thread expressing your disappointment in your fellow peas FOR CHALLENGE TEAM MEMBERS
- you earn 20 points/hour for virtual cropping (10 points/hour for crafting, plus 10 points/hour for virtual cropping) - you can earn 30 points/hour for HOSTING (10 points/hour for crafting, plus 20 points/hour for hosting) If you will help host a virtual crop, please drop a note on this thread, and I'll add your name to the schedule here in the top post. **if you want to host a crop at a time other than those listed below, just put that in your post and I'll add it in as a "pop up" crop! **I'm thinking we'll just do "pop up" crops over Christmas, and that the ones getting closer to Christmas might be fewer but we'll see as we get closer! For the rest of March and April, I'll just take hosting volunteers for each Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Let me know what time you will host! SATURDAY APRIL 2 SUNDAY APRIL 3 SATURDAY APRIL 9 SUNDAY APRIL 10 SATURDAY APRIL 16 - joyfulnana hosting, 6-10 EST SUNDAY APRIL 17 (Easter Sunday) SATURDAY APRIL 23 - nylene hosting, 4-8 MT (6-10 EST; 3-7 PST) SUNDAY APRIL 24 SATURDAY APRIL 30 SUNDAY MAY 1 Sat. May 7 - gramma, ?3-7 PST? (6-10 EST) Sun. May 8 Sat May 14 - joyfulnana , 6-10 EST Sun May 15 Sat. May 21 - gramma 3-7 PST? (6-10 EST) Sun. May 22 Sat. May 28 Sun. May 29

I'll have to wait for a bit to host. My brother has been diagnosed with aggressive cancer. Cure is not going to happen. So I may have to bail on a moment's notice. Damn!!!

Oh, gramma, I am so sorry to hear about your brother. I am sending hugs and prayers to you and your family. Anytime is hard to lose a loved one, but it seems even harder when it's during the holidays. I hope he is not in a lot of pain. Cancer is so ugly!

His daughter and palative care doctor talked to him this morning and gave him the news that what was thought to be a 2.5cm tumor is in fact 12.5cm. And it's in his bones, chest wall and - and - and. They spoke about a treatment plan but avoided giving him any sort of a time line. His daughter was adamant about that. He lost his wife to cancer 13 years ago. She lingered for months - - . So on we go, making the best of things for him.
Thank all of you for your kinds words.

Now that wrestling season is upon us . . . I will be missing many Saturdays for tournaments. Might be back in time but doubtful. So far the schedule says 12/4, 12/18 are wrestling . . . I will miss my special kind of crazies!

Help needed! Tried to open the crop with the account and password that kitbop provided, but Google wouldn't allow it because it did not recognize the device I'm using (my laptop). They're asking for a recovery phone number or email. Any suggestions? gramma? grammadee? joyfulnana?

Hi crafty folks!
I'm planning to open a crop link at 6 EST today, but I'll be juggling a few other tasks at the same time while I play hostess to a few unexpected guests. I don't mind doing both, but please be patient with me if it takes me a few minutes to admit crop participants. (I might be starting off in the kitchen, and it might be noisy here so I might not hear the chime right away. But don't worry, I'll mute the noise on my side so it won't bother anyone)
Unless someone else doesn't mind hosting the crop tonight? Like I said, I don't mind hosting. It'll just be a little different? than usual, lol.
Anyone planning to be around later?

I won't be able to crop because the Calif. kids will be here. They are only staying 5 days so I don't know which days will be mine and which will be DSIL's family's days, but know that Saturday will be out because of the Polar Plunge!
I hope to see everyone the next weekend.
