How long do you eat your Thanksgiving leftovers? DH and I really only find leftovers of anything appealing the next day, so the concept of multiple days of the same leftovers isn't appealing to me and I cook accordingly. But I see plenty of posts about multiple days of Thanksgiving leftovers too, so just wondering what the norm is. And do you feel differently about Thanksgiving leftovers than you do leftovers from an ordinary meal? By leftovers I mean savory things, mains, sides, etc. Not desserts, which I have never considered a leftover, more along the lines of, yay, there's still pie to eat!

We usually have ham and turkey, so we eat one on Friday and the other on Saturday usually. The ham is good until Dec 6ish, so we will use that for sandwiches this week as well.

We ate leftovers yesterday (Fri). I ate mashed potatoes for breakfast this morning covered in cranberry sauce. I know. Most people are probably thinking ewwwww. Lol. Probably won't eat anymore of it.

I’m done with the leftover sides at this point, but we have a lot of smoked turkey left and I’ll be freezing it to use in things.

We’re done with leftovers just reheated. We will make stock and then turkey soup/stew/pot pie on Monday, then anything that’s left will be tossed or frozen.

I eat them until they're gone, about a week total. I don't like leftovers of most things but I LOVE cold turkey and cranberry jelly! The potatoes, etc usually only last a few days. I buy a big turkey so that I can have it for at least a week.
I don't eat lunchmeat turkey or any other turkey the rest of the year. I only like roast turkey and once a year is enough for me.

Dh & I eat leftovers of turkey, potatoes/gravy & stuffing until we run out of stuffing--usually 4 days or so, less if DS eats some. After the stuffing is gone we start freezing the rest of the turkey. Depending on the size of the turkey I'll make some meals to freeze (turkey a la king, pot pie filling) before we're done with leftovers.

I usually turn the turkey into other meals. Tacos, enchiladas, pasta dishes. I think we will do straight leftovers tonight. I may just make a bowl and put what I want in. Friday morning breakfast is always a turkey omelette with cheese, tomatoes snd BBQ sauce no idea where I came up with the combo but I have been doing it since I was s teenager.
We seem to have more meat than normal and I think I will foodsaver/freeze at least a bag of meat so we don’t get sick if it and don’t waste it.

We had none this year because we left them all with my daughter in law. I would eat them the weekend after Thanksgiving, preferably every day until Monday.

we had leftovers for lunch and dinner yesterday and today (ok we haven't eaten dinner yet today) and probably lunch tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm making turkey curry- leftover cranberry salad will be one of the toppings. Monday I'll make a turkey casserole. I'll be freezing the turkey I don't need for either of those tomorrow in meal-size portions - and we'll use in recipes that call for cooked turkey or chicken.
The carcass spent 24 hrs in the crockpot with onions, garlic, and carrots plus seasonings and lots of water - I have the resulting broth cooling in the fridge and will be freezing in 2-cup portions tonight.
As for side dishes - gravy is gone (I will make more for the casserole), stuffing will be gone tonight and probably also potatoes. Any veggies still left after lunch tomorrow will be tossed. Watergate salad is gone. Cranberry salad and cranberry (from a tin) will get used up over the next day or two.
I always tell my family - if I'm cooking a big holiday dinner (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Easter) - you'll be eating leftovers for the next couple of days while I take a break from cooking. It's really only Thanksgiving (turkey) and New Years (ham) that we have a LOT of leftovers and I end up freezing some of the meat. Christmas is roast beef and Easter is lamb and I'm lucky if I get two days of leftovers - typically just one.

I usually make gumbo with the leftover turkey and the carcass. I don’t make a lot of sides, so they don’t usually last 3 days.
This year, I made a deboned turkey breast sous vide and there wasn’t enough left to make gumbo. I made stock with the carcass right after I deboned the breasts, so I used most of it in the dressing.
I have just enough turkey and dressing for me for supper tomorrow, then we are done with Thanksgiving completely

We eat leftovers until there are no more leftovers! DH eats them better than me. We have a turkey & dressing, ham, deviled eggs as of tonight. By Monday, they will be all gone - we won't be here for lunch or dinner Sunday.

We finished the leftovers off at dinner tonight - after lunch and dinner yesterday and then lunch today too. Tomorrow night is Chanukah, so I have a whole other holiday meal to cook tomorrow and we’ll eat those leftovers for a couple of days too.

I will eat thanksgiving leftovers for 2-3 days. Usually one meal straight up like it was originally served, then other meals are variations like sandwiches, potato pancakes, pot pie, soup.

We eat leftovers until they are gone, growing or smelling. I regularly cook large meals with the intention of having leftovers. Dh comes home for lunch most days and I am usually home too.

We don't do a huge meal, just the basics. I had two meals of leftovers, my parents each had two meals of leftovers. There's still a fair amount of turkey left and that will go into a turkey pie tomorrow and then everything will be gone. My favorite part of Thanksgiving is the leftovers!

My mom and I both like enough leftovers to only need to cook thanksgiving dinner, then enough for a "second serving supper" and for Friday so we aren't cooking that day. By then the sides have all been eaten, turkey at that point will be divided into meal sized portions and frozen for use later.

We usually eat one day of straight up leftovers. Meat, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, veg. Then, I make turkey stock with the carcass and make turkey soup. The rest of the gravy and the meat go in the soup and if any mashed potatoes are left, I make potato pancakes,

Our leftovers will be dealt with tomorrow (Sunday). “Dealt with” either means eaten, tossed out, or frozen. Turkey and ham will be frozen to use later in soups. Stuffing will be frozen to use in an egg breakfast casserole. Corn, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole will have been eaten. Gravy will be tossed.
I enjoy them for the weekend, because I do nothing. I lounge around watching tv, napping, scrapbooking. So I like to head to the fridge for a sandwich or snack.

I love leftovers, any time of the year.
I don't like cooking, so if I make something then I make enough to have leftovers for tomorrow(and maybe the next day) lunch and dinner....or I freeze individual portions that can be eaten at a later date.
If I cook something, then I try to make enough to get at least 8-10+ individual meals from it.
Edited to add....I was offered Thanksgiving leftovers, take whatever you want I was told.... I took two dinner rolls and enough turkey & gravy to fill the dinner rolls for sandwiches. I was also given the rest of the baked beans (<< delicious), which I happily took. I ate all of it yesterday for lunch and dinner (sandwich with a side of beans). I wasn't expecting any leftovers(I would never ask for them), but was happy to receive them when they were offered.

I made my soup stock out of my turkey today, and it will go into the freezer tomorrow.
The leftover meat and sides will be gone by tomorrow night.

Sent stuff home w/family. Had enough left for two lunches (Fri and Sat). We love the leftovers as sandwiches - for about 2 days Then, that's enough.

We are almost out of sides, just enough for one last bowl of stuffing for breakfast. I will make Hot Brown Turkey soup for dinner tomorrow and then pot pie Tuesday to finish off the turkey.

I love leftovers. I’ll happily eat them all weekend (Thanksgiving and any time). After that, any leftover turkey goes in the freezer. The rest of it I’m probably sick of by then. I’ve tossed out stuffing before when I made too much … it hurts my heart, but so be it. I also have a lot of family around to share with. The turkey carcass becomes soup. Oddly, we don’t put turkey in the soup, only noodles. I don’t know why. It’s just how my mom always did it. I do put chicken in my chicken noodle soup. Weird. Maybe I’ll be rebellious this year. We are almost out of sides, just enough for one last bowl of stuffing for breakfast. I will make Hot Brown Turkey soup for dinner tomorrow and then pot pie Tuesday to finish off the turkey. Do tell. Hot Brown turkey soup? Like the sandwiches? Got a recipe to share?
