From age 5-19, I was under the protection of an English Shepard, who was big for his bred. I remember his awkward stage. I LOVE the photo of Otto anxiously waiting for your son.

My husband is on his way to pick up a new german shepherd puppy right now...this thread is making me dread the teen dog phase. I already have three human teenagers that don't like to listen to me! LOL Can’t wait for photos. We have an almost two year old male and his almost four year old mom (belongs to a son in the Navy) is staying with us indefinitely. Otto is adorable, but I feel your pain busy. Our male still needs constant training and reinforcement to follow the rules. Especially when excited by something.

They are a little bit difficult at that age and the only thing you can do it’s go back to basics with his training, everyday is a new day and if possible give him a little more exercises and you should get your good boy soon I also waited that mine were 2 years old before neutering them

I feel you. We have a just turned 2 year old boxer who needs constant reinforcement of his training. And he recently figured out how to open any lever style door handle. So now we have to close the deadbolt on all the doors so he doesn’t let himself out. We love him but he is a handful. Otto is adorable. As you know, reinforcement and training are the only things that work.
