Your story touches so many of us. Being able to help in some way makes us feel better too.

jenjie : You amaze me!!!!!!! I thank God that we are friends and you are able to express how I feel without even having to check with me! You read me so well! THANK YOU SO MUCH, each and every person on this thread! I am humbled and honored; seriously. I'm amazed that my story and incredibly long Pea-journal on here has touched anyone or inspired them. Incredible!!!!! Your thoughtfulness, LOVE and generous spirit has really brought me & DD33 lots of happy tears. We DO feel the love and it means so very much!! Thank you again!! I've gotten some sympathy cards in the mail too. Thank you. (You have to see the stacks of Pea cards I have, dating back 2 years). Gary LOVED seeing the cards these past few months and I left them all on a special counter for him to see from his chair (long task to clean off the counter and put them all back up every few days). It brought him so much comfort and joy. He was touched by all of you too and you brought him SO much peace of mind! Some of you gifted him with lobster surprise dinners, and I can't tell you what it meant to him, but to see him with such a happy grin and ability to still eat food (up until 2 days before he passed) was amazing!!! Thank you!!!!! I set up an appt to fix my car. I got an expensive ($4400+) estimate from Nissan for "maintenance" (at only 35k), and I had to figure it out for 2 months. One of Gary's hospice aides mentioned that her DH is a great mechanic. He works for Hyundai & works on the side. She gave him my list and he PROMISED it would all be less than $1100. THAT is a blessing that now I can get it done and drive without worrying. I needed 4 new tires and rear brakes (and other things). I really don't like to touch my nest egg, but this is urgent, and I appreciate y'all SO much!! I'll get back to you when I can. Been doing a lot of legal work to close the loops, and I'm still pretty exhausted. I'll have to write a post about ALL of the signs Gary has been giving us, daily. Some of them were too much, but most were exactly what we spoke about in the past months, for DD too! We don't even have to look for them--they literally drop in front of us. I'll explain soon. Love you all right back. xoxo Chris
