(I know the people I am gifting very well and this gift will be appreciated  ) I have two people on my list that I wanted to give a very nice body lotion. My Ulta didn’t have the greatest selection in stock. I want something more indulgent than B&BW. Recommendations? As an aside, my second choice for one of them was her favorite perfume that I usually spend $70-80 for. It was $130 this year! Has perfume/cologne gotten ridiculously expensive recently? |

I've been gifted many different body lotions, bodybutters, scents, etc., and my FAVORITE, always (20 years?) has been by The Body Shop. It's their coconut line. Their coconut bodybutter is wonderful. I feel like I'm at the beach when I wear it (daily). It lasts for over 48 hours, keeping your body VERY supple. You don't need to re-apply. Their bodywash for the shower is GREAT too. Their handsoap (I like the liquid) is great. Their scent sprays are very nice and light (I like coconut).
They even have lip lotion and so many other thing to each line of products. Ulta carries most of their line.
As far as splurging, I've been gifted many expensive perfumes and I've grown more allergic as I get older. My favorite used to be Joy by Jean Patou. The company was in France and my BIL was a distant relative. Nice being gifted such expensive perfume!!

Beekman 1802 whipped body cream is amazing. I had forgotten about Beekman. I really love their line. Its 'clean' so it doesn't irritate my skin. Its hard for me to find it locally but its worth ordering online if you have to. |

I buy it at Sephora. I give it for gifts with the Brazilian bum bum body scrub. I also like the bom dia bright body cream scent as well, same brand.
The lush sleepy mentioned above sounds good too. I’ve been wanting to try a lush product after they pulled out of all social media. Maybe I’ll buy it for dd. She loves sleepy type products.

If you know anyone who sells POSH, it's a line sold like Mary Kay, but not. They make incredible hand cream, which comes in an assortment of scents.
The hand cream is only like $10, but is the best I've used. No, I don't sell it. Their body lotion is nice too, I think it goes for around $22?
Much larger size though. They put out a Christmas scent this year called Frost In Translation. It's a light pine with juniper berries scent,
and when dry you can smell the current berry. Might have to try Ebay, though. They sell out like crazy.

I use Josie Maran whipped argan body butter. QVC is the best place to buy, imo. I recently bought a gift set with Kiehls body cream but I prefer Josie Maran. If you get Kiehl’s try to find one in a container that had a pump. The one I have is really hard to get the lotion out of.

I love Kai lotion. I have the original scent but the rose is lovely too. I bought some at a boutique on vacation but you can also get it at Nordstrom- which might be nice if the smell or product doesn’t work for the recipient. I love the lotion, it is pretty thick for a lotion, but want to try the body butter next time. “Santa” might have to order that for my stocking 😉

L'Occitane has a wide selection of moisturizers, both scented and unscented. My favorites are the Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream (or the Ultra Light version) and the Shea Butter Hand Cream. They have a wide selection of gift sets, and many scents to choose from. Kiehl's Creme de Corps body lotion is really good as well. My complaint with that one is how difficult it is to get out of the bottle due to being so thick. I'd recommend buying the pump sized bottle. For a luxury moisturizer, then I recommend Phytomer Oléocrème. Bought a bottle at the spa after my last massage and love it. Very lightweight but every bit as moisturizing as the heavier creams I listed. It's a good splurge item.

Perlier is wonderful. Their bath gels and body creams really give your body a treat. My skin is so soft & hydrated. The wonderful aromas last all day even into the next day.
Definitely feels like a spa treatment everyday.

I didn't know they had an unscented Sol De Jeneiro cream. I think I liked the consistency of the Bum Bum Cream but the scent was too much for me to have on my body all day. I also tried the blue one (coconut) but it was sticky. Unscented would probably be right up my alley. I like a light scent but don't really want to smell it all day, if that makes sense. |
