This one was my sample for Sketchy Saturday March 5th: Just absolutely STUNNING. The dark colors, the pops of lighter colors. The large pic! WOW! Put this one together today. Used some old Fancy Pants and much older cs. These Love how you did the tag background. I have to remember to do this more. Especially since I'm buying almost zero new paper and trying to use up my old papers. It's such a great way to do that! Tonight, I did a double page layout, using two different sketches. Love that summer vibe! I can feel the water and sand! That teal-y color w/the purple snow suit is perfection! zima your Christmassy pocket pages are wonderful. Thanks so much! I usually start w/a one or two papers and just cut them into cards - makes it really easy to keep that theme

grammadee I really like the colors you chose for the grade 3 layout. The pictures just pop off the page. And I love the journaling contained in that huge 3.

I did a little bit of scrapbooking yesterday. I'll share my pages too. Loved these when you posted on IG. Love the 'text-heavy' page. So nice for journaling. I need to do those kinds of pages more.

I realized I didn't have many pictures for February. But then I went back and looked at my Facebook. And I found all sorts of things to scrap about there. That whole page, other than the mention of the war in Ukraine is just Facebook snippets.

Linda what a beautiful tribute to your dad. It's wonderful you actually had a picture of him sitting by his radio. I'm so jealous of the number of older pics you have. I have virtually nothing from my childhood. Thank you. I inherited the family photo archive in 2019 when my mum passed. She and Dad both loved taking photographs and I am blessed with loads of pictures from my childhood. I also have photos from my mum's side dating back to 1890...it seems that her family had cameras by the late 19teens and took plenty of pictures. I don't have many of my dad before he married my mum but there were a few dating back to WW2 but nothing earlier (he was born in 1925 but his family was very poor - I doubt there were any pictures taken - the earliest ones I have of Dad are mostly military pics)

jeremysgirl, your pocket pages are so well done. I love the colors that are carried throughout each page. Wonderful job on your journaling. This double pager doesn't fit any of the 28-4-28 challenges, but I really wanted to get this story on paper. Pilot Lessons

scrappyrabbit I’m always drawn to your patterned paper combos - love it! grammadee I LOVE the banner layout. I love the combos of pp and they pop with the Mats. And then using them as a mat for the pic- I love everything about it and will try to work it in to one of my projects for sure. jeremysgirl I just love that you included the cake recipes. It’s such a fun touch and will make someone very happy to recreate the cakes someday. I also love how you included stuff from FB. Even if you didn’t need the material since you were short on pics I think it’s a great addition and you should include more of that. I think it will be really fun to look back on later. nylene I love those adorable pictures! I really like how you chose selections - the colors and embellishments give a serious professional feel to the “grown up” subject of being pilots. Too cute.

paget I love your planner spread. Please can you tell me how you are printing your journaling? Is that like a transparent sticker? What is it? I might like to get me some of that. Even though I like handwriting, it might make it possible for me to fit more journaling in if I can type it.

Even though I like handwriting, it might make it possible for me to fit more journaling in if I can type it. Yes, basically - this is what I’m using Avery Matte Frosted Clear Full Sheet Labels for Inkjet Printers, 8.5" x 11", 25 Labels (8665) www.amazon.com/dp/B00006HUP7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BG4M95H0C8Z7HC562JPH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1I’m printing my journaling on a regular piece of paper and then once I like how it’s sized/formatted, I tape pieces of the label over the printed journaling- I save little bits of it for the small journaling pieces so the package goes quite far. Then I just run it through the printer again and it prints on the sticky paper exactly how I wanted it. I like handwriting but mine is large and I’m left handed which is a smudge nightmare. I also like to include a lot of journaling so it was a good solution for me.

Again, I am way behind in commenting. Going to start here on Page 17... jeremysgirl, your pocket pages are fun to look at. I love all the day-to-day photos and how your journaling gives so many different insights into your life. Cool that you included the cheesecake rescipe! And I can see you had fun with the traditional pages you put together. Love the way your title and subtitle seem interwoven on the birthday page. And the girls' night out page is super fun with all the pink and all the stars. paget I always enjoy seeing your pocket pages. So many sweet doggie photos. And I love those giant title letters. MARIBETHR, your ATC's are really pretty. I loved your pages about the conflict in Ukraine, too. Good job scrapping all those Italy photos, cadoodlebug. Looking at those winding hilly cobbled streets, I have to admit my knees hurt LOL, but they bring back wonderful memories. Love that you included so many different perspectives and that you included a map.

paget, I love those big vellum(?) letters and the way you have used them. Your pocket pages are not only informative, but also very pretty. Nicely done! jeremysgirl, your Mean Girls page is beautiful. I love the glittery stars and the inclusion of the tickets. I’ll bet you had a great time together. I love the photo of the happy masked faces. That will be something to remember in years to come when masks aren’t required. cadoodlebug, your travel album is gorgeous. I love the photos and the arrangement. Your journaling spots are so nicely placed and the journaling is fabulous. So many memories captured. This should definitely count toward your points. You have done such a great job of arranging. They make me want to go see all those places. grammadee and MARIBETHR, you have love in the gallery. I went to Michael's the other day and saw a stack of paper pads for $6. I debated on a realistic paper pad full of winter scenes. I thought I'd see if it was really $6. When I got to the checkstand it rang up for $1.99. I figure if I use just the 3 pages I have pulled out for my winter photos I will have my money's worth. This is one of them. Cold

Playing with Spellbinders glimmer foil system. For this first card I placed one SB plate inside the frame and foiled with one pass. The foiled part is really pretty IRL, but I had trouble getting it to show up in the photo. glimmer foil card 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This second one, I used a set of "regular" cutting dies by Taylored Expressions. I ran them through the Glimmer Foil system with green foil. Then I offset the dies a little and used them to cut out strips with the foil at the edge. glimmer foil card 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This last card is for my dgs's bd. his 19th bd is next month. Until this week he was in a province where the official drinking age is 19. It won't be as funny when he opens this at home in Alberta where the legal age is 18, but I think he will like it. How can it almost be the end of Quarter 1?? Anyway... jeremysgirl, I love your reading pages. I always mean to document what I am reading and I never do remember. I am going to make a note for that for April. Very cool! And the Mean Girls LO, so fun! Love the felt stars. grammadee, those banners are so fun. I like the coheasive look you gave them by matting in the same color. Bet Shimelle covers that in class! You're a star student! nylene, goregous as usual! Your layers titles are pefection and the colors you used for the plane really pop off the page! Takeoff! scrappyrabbit, the bike paper with the floral go together so well and then bringing in that pop of orange with the perfect day diecut ties it all together. It looks so fresh and relaxing. paget, those oversize letters in the cool colors are wonderful! Are they vellum? So pretty! MARIBETHR, how sweet and soft those vintage florals are, and how cool that they are cards for Ukraine! cadoodlebug what wonderful photos! I have never been to Italy but your pics make me want to. Lovely!! This is my take on Shimelle's BOBW page for March 18th. Here is her page: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EduXOG6E4SY&t=5219shere is mine. the background is 100% hand stamped with a block. Gahhhhh...that was too much work. I did it once, but probably never again, lol. 92125BD2-B352-41C5-A9D7-F196A8FBBF02 by K Mage, on Flickr
