This is wonderful - sketchtember 27 by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr A sketchtember sketch! Every day has happy moments by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr And a random page. Both of these layouts were inspired by the thread of “when do you consider a kit killed?” I decided to look thru my stash and see if I had any kits/collections that were almost killed and I came up with these two. One of the great things about this board is inspiration is everywhere! @cumber1137 thank you for sharing your PL spreads! I am so sorry about your father. My sister just passed away and I’m not sure If I can scrap my thanksgiving photos any time soon, as that was the last time I saw her (besides in the hospital saying goodbye)

Thank you for the kind words, so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. I completely udnerstand and give that time. Processing the photos in my scrapbook was very emotional and that was even 6 months later and lots of therapy.

sleepingbooty , your dd pages are gorgeous. Love how dramatic each looks. Completely understand about losing a photo. My pic's and supplies often play hide & seek with me. Hoping it turns up. Your PL pages are interesting to look at, @cumber1137. Love the mix of photos and other panels. (((((Hugs))))) on getting back into scrapping after the loss of your father. I struggle to scrap when I am overwhelmed with feelings. When my brother passed away five years ago, I was able to scrap some photos of him and journal how important he was to me, but the cruise I was on when I got the news has not yet been scrapped. Somehow that few weeks is kind of a black hole for me, even yet. There is love in the Gallery for your pages, scrappyrabbit . Sorry to hear about the loss of your sister before Christmas. Hopefully at some time you will be able to go back to scrap that last visit with her. So often, we don't have photos of those "lasts" we had no idea were lasts. I have a couple of pages finished after fiddling with them all day. Hope to get a pic of them to post in the morning.

This LO is for Day 5 of the MOC challenge at The Lilypad. The challenge was to create a clean and simple minimalistic layout. I used the 'Morning Rituals' collaboration kit.

Catching up on commenting and leaving love for the first part of the page 1 projects... Linda Alas, I cannot see the images in your first few posts. When I right-click to open the images in a new tab, I get a message about the URL signature being expired. Is this issue just on my end? I'm sure it all looks lovely and I wish I could comment on it properly. Sorry! 'Take a Hike' I love how you've let the orange hat guide your colour selection by grabbing that beautiful sapphire navy as your background. The film reel at the top of the spread with all the nature photos is such a smart idea: it gives the illusion of seeing the hike through your daughter's eyes! Great idea to create raised texture balance on both sides of the journaling with those glossy date elements and the wooden "take a hike" element; it adds an extra framing element that really draws to the text. 'H2O' Alas, I'm getting another expired URL signature message for this one. Sorry! 'Outdoor Adventure' Ok, I'm a sucker for word strips so you went straight for the win here with your journaling strips! Love the stacked nature of this LO, especially given the hiking theme as it reminds me of wood logs. That contrast between the light-coloured PP and the darker backgrounds in the photos really makes the latter pop off the page. The inclusion of the time splits is a great idea and wonderful memory to look back on. And that tent embellishment's mid-century modern look is so cool. msupea 'Magic 2014' Aww, a Disney album, perfect for my Disney-loving heart! I love how you've brought in the colours of the photos and WDW architecture with your cards (yellow, orange, blue hues). It brings those spreads perfectly together. That Kelly Purkey date stamp in black looks dramatic and cool against the little hearts! So neat that you gave a nod to the "a magic place" embellishment at the top of the page by adding tiny yellow splatter to the date stamp. I love such attention to detail. azcrafty 'Sheetload of Cards: Winter Birds' Oh my, how exquisite and delicate are these! I absolutely adore the choice to leave the background elements neutral and let the birds' colours pop. Those bright pastels look wonderful for the wintery theme, too. What a genius move to pair these stamps with the rosette shapes: perfect reminder of the season through the snowflake connection without being in your face with the theme. Beautiful colouring, congrats on an incredible job. I adore those pops of texture on top of the berries as well. AussieMeg 'Days of Summer' First of all, considering the MOC theme, you did incredible! That is one super smooth and very pretty successful photo blending job. I love that you decided to blend the sandy part instead of the sky (as is so often done). Great photo, too! I love how dramatic the perspective looks. What a great idea to bring the blending idea and that gorgeous blue sky back into the muddier colours of the bottom half by creating that splattered look to drop your title against. It's also a neat nod to the waves and drops of the water... I see what you did there! Great job. (also, can we switch seasons? I'm dying for some summer weather over here right now) Will be back later to comment on the second batch of page 1! Gotta get back to work now first.

Carrying my creations from earlier today over from the DD thread: Marching on quietly with my mini DD... Got up extra early this morning to do two more spreads. And I broke out the word/phrase stickers! Day 17 is all about binging the second season of The Witcher. Day 20 is dedicated to a Covid-19 situation update in France.

Working through catching up on PL 2021 Spring layouts. You got SO much done! I love them. I decided to look thru my stash and see if I had any kits/collections that were almost killed and I came up with these two. I can't believe these are just stash leftovers. SO beautifully put together and inspiring to me. I'm so sorry about your sister.

More page 1 love (y'all have been so busy already this month!): scrappyrabbit 'Birthday Charcuterie Board' This is just such a happy LO that radiates all the good vibes. Love the explosion of colours, clusters and strips of PP. And of course, a charcuterie board to die for... You did a great job balancing out all the colours, especially the yellow that can very quickly become overly dominating (but not here). The play on vertical and horizontal lines is very well done. My eye keeps travelling around the page. 'Happy Birthday' Love the zig-zaggy disposition of the photos to keep the story going. Also, can we just praise your fluffy dog for photobombing most of these? What a hoot of a pooch! (must've been those delish' pizza scents) I love that you took the risk of extracting the red from the pizza sauce as your base layer. It has worked out so well for the lighter-coloured pics and the food theme. Those clusters of 4 (candles and word strips) are top notch to help bring the framing together. Very well done! (and gorgeous pizza PP) grammadee 'The Stockings were Hung' This LO is cuteness overload! From the adorable photos to all the cute embellishments and patterns. I love that you included both the DIY photos and the final stocking-hanging part: it really helps to build the entire picture of the memory captured. The black & white colour scheme is the perfect base for the red & white contrast in the photos, too. And how neat of you to bring that contrast back in with your handwritten journaling which is both black on white and then white on black. Super smart! 'Merry Christmas PJs' You brought those different family PJ's together so well here, grammadee! I love that you jumped in and used that soft aqua as the basis: it works perfectly as a mix of Christmas tree green and the brighter blue background in a couple of the pics. The red and white paper strips work so well as vertical pillars with that candy cane vibe. The cute icons bring a touch of whimsy which is just what these photos inspire. And I love the sprinkle of big and small golden stars, a good reminder of the magical night theme. This feels both fresh and traditional! Beautiful.

sleepingbooty, I am loving your DD. Such great graphic design. When I saw the page with the Pandemic stole Christmas again, I wasn't sure if I should giggle or growl. Was that a purchased card? Or a printable?

Final love for page 1 projects! grammadee 'To All a Good Night' Goodness me, the bold blue look you went for here works perfectly! Such a fun nod to the Christmas Charades Game box you featured, right down to the alpha Thickers font for "Game Night". I just love that you decided to have some graphic play and contrast the square photos with so many bubble and circle elements. It adds so much playfulness to this project which is so appropriate for a game night theme. The scalloped edge at the bottom reinforces the Christmas/winter season as it looks like snowballs, just so fun! This LO makes me smile, grammadee , well done. nylene 'Frozen Princess' Ok, let's just get this out of the way: how cute is little Swayzee? Absolutely adorable! I love that you went in and used glitter for the background, title, snowflakes and photo mat. It has paid off and added magic to an already super cute memory. I love how it plays with the silver snowflakes on her dress cape. Including Elsa and Olaf is just what was needed to underline the Frozen theme and make sure Swayzee herself will instantly remember the magic when she flips through these scrapbooks later in life. AussieMeg 'Hello 2022' Now this is digital crafts(wo)manship! So many details, so much attention to every little thing. I love this fresh colour scheme to begin the new year with the bright white serving as that reminder of turning over a fresh leaf, starting a blank chapter. It all looks so full of hope and optimism. Great idea to balance out the dangling curled ribbon bits with the motion upwards spray of mist on the bottom half of the page as it really helps to frame that XL title. The small black touches here and there help to anchor the project just enough. Love it! @cumber1137 'PL 2021 Spring' Before I comment on your project share, I wish to offer my belated but sincere condolences. I'm very sorry you've lost your father and had to go through hospice care. It is not easy. I completely understand your need to delay getting back to scrapbooking that time until now. It hasn't even been a year yet, you're really brave diving in. I hope it helps with your healing process. Onto your PL pages now... I love how you're picking complementary colours or extracting them from your photos. The pink card and touches for those super blue pool photos, for example, just the pop needed. Love seeing that Paper Person vaccination card in your album, by the way! Those stamped icons on top label stickers are super fun and just my style. I also approve of your eye for picking card patterns like those horizontal blue lines on the page that had several strong horizontal lines in the photos like the reserve's bridge and fencing. Beautiful attention to the graphic play happening on the page! And yes, BioShock was a great game (so immersive!).

This LO is for MOC-06 at The Lilypad. The challenge was to make a quadrant layout. One quadrant was for the title, two quadrants had to have photos, and the last quadrant was for journaling or whatever you wanted to do.

This layout is for Day 8 of Month of Challenges. For this challenge we had to create a multi-layered cluster as the focal point on our layout using at least 10 flowers, 2 foliage / leaves, and 1 or more frames and photos, with nothing else on the page (except journaling if you wanted).

Getting started on page 2 projects... *starts commenting engine* scrappyrabbit 'Wonderful' I just had to laugh at your long-suffering doggo in this one. After the pizza, he's now taunted by the B&J ice cream cones! And the top notch cool cat embellishment, of course. I love the play between those vertical and horizontal stripes which emphasise the strong lines in your photos like your SO's crossed legs and the leash of the dog. Such a great to combine this first play on contrast with the second one that opposes the black&white papers to the summer brights: it really brings out the summer night feels of the photos! I love the cluster with those his & hers cones + flowers to illustrate your date night. Beautifully done. 'Happy Moments' What a beautiful colour composition with Obed Marshall's soft pastel shades. I love the summery glow you've created with your product play here and how you've mirrored the pictures by sliding that large blue embellishment into the top portion of your LO to mimic the dramatic sky. You did a great job putting together the central cluster with the flowers lifting the eye up to the top part of your page and the journaling circle coming in through like a setting sun over the "horizon" of the sky in the photo underneath. My heartfelt condolences. I'm sorry you list your sibling and especially during the holidays. Can't imagine how hard the end of the year must've been. *hugs* AussieMeg 'MOC Day 5' Oooh, a minimalist page with a small photo and loads of white space, be still, my heart! I love your delicate work here with the mixed media play tucked in behind the photo, the slim white border for the pic, the slim handlettered-style font for your title, the clean aesthetic embellishments. I adore how you've pulled in the shape of your latte mug view by repeating circle elements all around: the pink stencil, the circle die-cut, the splatter. And the play on softer shades to balance out the dark greys all around the cup in your photo really elevates this to another level of elegance. Just gorgeous!

Finished a LO today that has been smoldering in my brain for a week. I had a blast photographing these three having so much fun in the deep snow in our yard. I brought back memories of when snowfall was just an invitation to get out and PLAY! Snowball time by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I had thought I would do a huge layered title, and go crazy with the snowball theme, but ended up pulling back, using some circles I had on hand and cutting some more, grabbing stickers old and new from my stash. The LO didn't photograph very well--colours are not as crisp as I would like--but I am happy with how it looks IRL.
POINTS: two pages created & shared (4). M-1 Eight photos for the Donna challenge (8). P-1 foil circles (1), P-3 inked edges (1) and shaded snowballs (5), P-7 sixteen stickers (16), P-10 glitter letters (1), P-11 puffy phrase stickers (1), P-14 tiny foam and cs stickers (2), P-16 old Fancy Pants papers and new SU! papers. Old foil circles and new ep stickers (2), S/I-1 snowflake pp + eight stickers (9), S/I-2 one rectangular photo and four rectangles of pp (5), S/I-5 three stars (3), S?i-10 seventeen circles (17), C/M-5 gold and silver (4), C/M-9 winter (1), T-3 fussy cut three critters (3), T-6 three layers (3), T-7 three different dies, one punch, CM and EK cutters (4), T-12 seven diecuts (7), w/T-2 >10 words (2), Th-1 eight pic's from December '21 (16), N/S-3 two patterns (2), N/S 8 title (2). Total: 119.
