Oh yeah.. if I didn't I would be waiting for them all the time.
I may or may not fold their clothes, depending on my mood. Sometimes I will just throw it all in a basket and say here you go. Other times I will kinda fold and put in basket.. I never take it up for them. They are all very well capable.. moreso than I am so however it ends up in a basket, the basket goes to the kitchen table until the owner takes it up.

We don't do our own laundry around here for the most part. The oldest 3 people in the family all do laundry, but we have no rhyme or reason about who does it and when. Sometimes I ask our oldest to throw in a load, sometimes they do it on their own. DH & I tend to throw in a load every day, but it's not just his items or mine. Our washer sings us a little song when it's done, so typically whoever hears the song, moves the stuff to the dryer. Same when the dryer sings to us. We find that our machines can develop an odor if they are kept closed up (while not running) for too long, so we try to be right on top of moving items from washer to dryer and then out of the dryer, so that we can leave the machine doors open to dry out and stay smelling nice and clean.

I used to do DH’s laundry for him. So I’d start and finish that. I taught DS how to do his laundry so I never have to touch it. He’s responsible for washing it and putting it away.

No. I go to them and ask them to finish their laundry and let me know when they're done so I can do my own. This was true when my kids still lived here and even now that they're gone (my kids all started doing their own laundry at 12). DH, BIL (who lives with us), and I all do our own laundry. I have been known, on occasion, to fold DH's laundry for him on a whim if I'm in a good mood and feel like doing something nice (it's usually in a basket in our room and he rarely folds it himself - just wears it out of the basket - fashion conscious, he is not ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ). DH teases that the "laundry fairy" must have visited when he finds it's put away. DH would do the same for me, but my laundry scares him, lol. He's never sure if something should be folded or hung and he's afraid he'll ruin something or put it where I can't find it when I want it. Jen
