Jennifer McGuire recommended the Spellbinders monthly kits in her gift guide.
I’m on the fence — I think they’re also no peeking/no skipping.

Jennifer McGuire recommended the Spellbinders monthly kits in her gift guide. I’m on the fence — I think they’re also no peeking/no skipping. Actually you have until the 5th of the month to cancel or change your subscription. I love their system. You can see all of them on the first. I got an email with some changes. They are introducing a 3D embossing folder, a stitching die and making the card kit cheaper, but taking away the die and stamp. And discontinue the AGP club.

They've removed the stamp and die from the card kit? So it's just papers and embellishments? I subscribed to the Large & Small die and the Foil plate kits last year and absolutely loved them. Occasionally I'd pick up the embossing folder or stamp & die club, too. I had to stop in September when the shipping to Canada became just too high. I miss it, though. I really felt I got value for money.

marg here is the email that I got. Thanks for being a Spellbinders Club Member. We have some exciting news to share! We are going to be making some BIG changes to our clubs starting on January 1, 2023. Here is a preview of what is coming... NEW CLUBS COMING Stitching Die Club & 3D Embossing Folder Club You asked and we listened! Many of you have been requesting a dedicated Stitching Die Club. Our talented designers have made your stitching wishes come true. Additionally, we are launching a NEW 3D Embossing Folder Club that will transform cardstock, patterned paper, vellum and more into stunning textured elements. There will now be TWO embossing folder club options to choose from; the 2D (Original) Embossing Folder Club AND 3D Embossing Folder Club. Choose one, or join both! *The 3D Embossing Folder Club will require a 3D compatible Die Cutting Machine and may require a Universal Plate System. Active Club members will be able to purchase these at a discounted rate in the Spellbinders web store. CLUB DISCONTINUATION We are sad to announce that December will be the last month that the Amazing Paper Grace (APG) Club will be available. All active APG Club Subscriptions will be cancelled following December shipments. Members can check out all the new and available Spellbinders Club options on January 1st. The Large Die of the Month Club would be the most comparable option moving forward. The NEW Quick & Easy Card Kits will NOT include dies or stamps, and the price will be reduced to just $29.50. You will still be able to create similar projects for less cost! All affected subscription pricing will be adjusted to the new lower price starting on January 1, 2023. That sounds disappointing. Does anyone know if the various Spellbinders kits in a given month coordinate at all? If they do, this could be a way to increase flexibility. If not, the Hero Arts and SSS kits seem like a better mix of consumable and durable elements.

The Spellbinders kits do coordinate each month, which is how they tempt you into getting a bundle, lol! I do like their new system a lot where you get a sneak peek and cancel/order each month. I have many older dies of the month that I need to destash because they just aren't my style (this was before the sneak peek dayS).

Wait...they have sneak peaks and allow you to skip? Or allow you to cancel and resubscribe at the next sneak peak (if you choose)?

If I like what is coming out I leave it alone or change what bundle I want . If I don't like it I cancel it, if I change my mind about it I still have it until the 25th of the month to get it. Love this system. I do wish that they would send them out early, always get them at the end of the month and I live 10 minutes from the warehouse.

Shakti that makes sense... i just really wanted an opinion on stamps of life... i tried doing a search but that function is not really good on this board... I didn't want to make its on s/o category since a kit club thing I used to sub to the Stamps of Life kit (Die Hard Club - not the full card kit) but I've come to realize those stamps are not my style. I ended up donating most of my Stamps of Life collection to the local senior center. If you are a fan of the Stamps of Life stamps then it would be a good kit for you. I've realized I really do not like coloring images and prefer instead to use layering stencils so I am trying to keep my collection of critters and florals I have to color to a minimum. I still like the images but coloring is really not my thing (except for Lawn Fawn - I'll color Lawn Fawn!).

Waffle Flower has announced a new monthly kit club and you can skip or pause whenever. I've signed up and will receive my first one sometime in January and I'm very excited!

Is this the Sneak Peek Club? I don’t see anywhere it tells you what comes in the kit. It just says “be the first to play with new releases.”

Sometime in the last few hours, Spellbinders updated their kits. Last I looked (before minutes ago) they still listed the full card kit, but said December was closed. Now it describes the Quick and Easy card kit configuration and has all the new offerings revealed.

They always get me with the flowers 😆

None of it really speaks to me, but the stamp and die comes closest. They don’t look like they coordinate well with the new style card kit.
It’s looking like no kit at all for me for January. I’ve already skipped Club Scrap and will skip Paper Pumpkin. Neither SSS nor HA @ Joann appeals. Just waiting for My Monthly Hero to drop so I can check that out.
