After looking at all the pictures, what really strikes me about these lines is that they seem to be more summer-focused without a spring line in sight. (In this case, I'm ignoring Bo Bunny and K&Co because while they definitely have a following, they're not as popular/"big" as the designer lines.)
Heidi & Maggie lines: definitely summer/travel themed Vicki line: very vibrant/darker colors, so I wouldn't classify this as "classic" spring (the few season-oriented items I can find seem to be summer as well, such as an orange, "hello sunshine," palm leaves and a popsicle) Paige line: this is kind of a mix between spring and summer. Spring: lots of florals, , birds, butterflies, references to blooming/growing. Summer: bright, vibrant colors and summery fruits (like strawberries and oranges) Jen Hadfield line: this is the one "designer" line that is closest to spring themed, but it's still a mix. Spring: butterflies, florals, gardening hat, "fresh start." Summer: "explore," vans, vintage hotel keys, seashells, sailboats, camping, "wanderlust," lakes.
I wonder if this move toward summer lines or spring/summer mix is a deliberate decision on AC's part to avoid shipping delays. Since mostly everything is caught in the supply chain crisis, by effectively skipping spring lines, they can have their summer lines in stock for the season and not have to worry about spring. And this lets them get ahead on fall/winter lines as well. I might be overanalyzing this, but I definitely think it's interesting!

What frustrates me is the lack of bright whites in the majority of the ranges. Everything is off-white or cream. A couple of the papers in the Damask Love look like they might be white, but as others don’t seem to be, I’m not sure. I would also love to see more actual blacks as well, especially as a background in patterned paper. I think I just prefer solid colours, rather than the more washed look that AC seems to favour.

Nothing is a must have for me. There are a few individual paper patterns that I like.
This is one reason why I like my Scrap Room monthly sub. I’ll most likely get a taste of several of these collections without getting a ton of one collection that’ll I’ll unlikely use.

If / when Sweet Rush and Splendid are available as a digital bundle I will probably get them.

Or maybe it wasn’t just Obed Marshall’s line, but I was surprised by the celebration motif.

My favourite is the Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser line. Reminds me of a line from Cocoa Vanilla a couple of years ago. I think I used every last square inch of that line...

My favorite is the Damask Love. I don't think I have seen papers sold separately for that brand, I used to just see paper pads. But it will be nice to be able to pick out a few pieces without buying them all.

There aren't any that I need to pay full price for. This sums it up perfectly for me. I am definitely going to be adding the MH trip tag ephemera pack to my wish list, I might not end up buying it but it is something I know I'd get a lot of use from, unlike the rest of her line which is just same old, same old. I didn't mind a couple of papers from Jen Hadfield, but they would be stash fillers, not something I actually need. I also liked the puffy hearts in her collection. I like a surprising amount of Heidi's collection. This is another one I think I'll add pieces to my wish list and once I'm done freezing I'll see if I'm still excited by it. There's nothing from this lot of releases I absolutely have to have, a good mindset to be in as I start my freeze.

After seeing these, I guess I don't feel bad about being frozen/chilly?
The "Sprinkles" pp sheet from VB caught my eye for a moment, but I don't need it specifically.
And since we still are facing the repercussions of a global pandemic, and I haven't travelled in sooooo long, travel collections just bum me out.
Although I am getting the sudden urge to take a selfie at the Eiffel Tower while holding a swan. That's a common thing people do, right?!😁

sleepingbooty! There aren't any that I need to pay full price for. This sums it up perfectly for me. Me too. This release will "save" me lots of money. I don't see much that I will actively seek out. the Heidi Swapp one is the best of the bunch for me.

I am not attracted to anything except a couple of DCWV pads. I miss Shimelle. She was so different to their normal flowery samey stuff.

What other motifs do you see?

Interesting!! A VB collection that I don't 100% love. Same. Glad. Can keep focusing on using what I have. I've made quite a dent in my stash over the last 6 mos. Scrapbook companies to a T. Apparently we all live in cottages w/metal watering cans strewn around. Travel to France or a lake cabin. Drive old pick-up trucks. I haven't travelled in sooooo long, travel collections just bum me out. Man, so much that.

I like Heidi Swapp the most of the lot. I don’t mind pink, I actually kind of like it. Overall I feel ho hum about most of it. Paige Evans is the biggest disappointment for me, do not care foe her line at all. And they really need to stop using bugs in designs. Gross.

I keep thinking about the black paper with the snakes (with gold foil finish) from the Rebel stack. Send help!

Some of it is ok, nothing I need. Probably won't buy any. Wishing for more real life, natural looking themes.
I like 1 piece from the Jen Hadfield line - the lightbulb paper with the plants and 1 piece from Obed - the televisions.
Maybe some of the stencils or embellishments.
Overall feel like we've seen it all before.

I'm excited to see new supplies and some old names.
Sweet Rush is the collection I will probably buy the most of because I love VB, and I think this works well with a lot of her other collections. However, I previously bought multiples of each sheet of each paper, and this collection I likely only need one of each.
Round Trip, I have use for some of the embellishments but I am safe on the paper side of things.
Beautiful Things, I will buy the embellishments and some of the papers because I am short of embellishments to go with an old Pink Paislee line and I think this will work well together.
I might buy some of the embellishments for Especial and Splendid, but I definitely don't need everything.
Sun Chaser is really pretty, but I only need bits and pieces of it. I would probably like to buy more of it because it's pretty, but I will try to be restrained.

Well, these are not good if you don't like pink...(fortunately I am fine with pink, but it's a lot...)
While I don't think any of these will "stand alone" as their own collection for me, I think all of them blend in with items I already have from these designers. It looks like these will make great "stash enhancement" lines for me. So I'm sure to pick up elements I like from Maggie Holmes (I like when she moves away from heritage-y themes to ones like this, but I haven't been traveling...) Heidi Swapp, Vicki Boutin and Jen Hadfield. I always want more embellishments and to buy certain designs of papers...
While I don't need it myself, I can appreciate the additional Spanish in Obed's line and hope it makes some people really happy. A little more color range there would be nice.
I was a huge fan of the very earliest releases of "pink" retro lines like Pink Paislee's Summer Lights, and the more modern uptakes like Crate Paper's All Heart. But the retro roller skaters and continuous stream of lines trying to redo this theme? Now I'm so over it. If you want "teen or retro girl", let your designer do some brainstorming for unique ideas. There are enough roller skates in lines even for a current roller derby skater (but likely too cutesy.) And the swan again...NOoooooo
I WILL get the Maggie Holmes 12x12 travel chipboard immediately. I like her line the best in general from this release.
Can we start a company to bring back Crate Paper? Three is so much more that can be done with this brand, hire the right designer/s and don't try to just copy the past.

For me, the hotel key tag is a WTF icon. It joins mustaches and chandeliers in my cannot figure out how I’d use it pile. I've been wondering where the hotel key trend came from. We stay in hotels often, and have never ever had our room key look like the ones in all the new lines. They're always the plastic card keys. I don't care for much from any of the new lines. It's been quite some time since I've loved a collection enough to buy all of it. I can't figure out if it's because I'm just picky, already have too much, or if the new stuff just isn't great?

I stayed in one of London’s hotels a few years back and they gave us a huge old key with one of the number fobs for the storage room where we could store our luggage before checking in. Our room key was the card though. This is the only time when I held one in my hands and it felt very retro. Also the number key fob was important in the Twin Peaks series, the fob was from a hotel in Twin Peaks, WA and from the early 90s. I guess they used them before the card era.

I’m getting off so easy here…there’s only a couple of things that stuck out: the Paige Evans roller stamp and Vicki Boutins puffy phrase stickers.
I also liked a lot of the Heidi Swapp collection but I have a couple of collections with the same theme/color story and don’t need any more. Although the tiger icon seemed extremely out of place.
