I have been waiting for the right rescue cat to find me, and fingers crossed this might be my lucky day. I lost my Blue point Siamese girlie last July and have been lonely ever since. Pet owners and particularly Siamese cat servants will know what I mean. The silence in the house has been deafening. Anyway this might be the next home that this 3 year old Flame/Red point girlie settles in. She is being rehomed from a breeder due to their ill health. I spoke to the rescue today to start things moving to adopt. Now I just have to be patient.

So glad for her - and you! Soon she will tell you all the things! When my Siberian “sister cat” died at 18 years old - and this was after losses over some years of our dog and other cats, all quite old - I told my husband that was it. I couldn’t take the sadness and loss - no more animals. Two days later we drove 7 hours to adopt a semi-feral black cat.: ) Sadly, we only had him about a year - he had heartworm disease, which is not curable in cats. While it was managed tightly, one day he had a stroke. We adopted again X2. (OT PSA: cat owners please give monthly heartworm prevention - treats or glop on the neck. Our two love the treats. I learned the deafening silence is something I can’t bear. Please keep us posted! www.heartwormsociety.org/heartworms-in-cats

Good luck!
Both of our cats are adopted, and our youngest was the cat to fill the void after losing our 19 year old tuxedo cat. DBF searched and searched, and this new cat is perfect. It's like he was sent by the other, they are so similar. We've had him 2 years now, and fits in perfect.

I'm so happy for you that you've found a new Siamese to fill your heart. I can't wait to see photos of your new baby! Your words, "Siamese cat servants" had me laughing out loud. Jesse is my second Traditional Siamese cat that we've had, although I've had cats for 53 years. Biru was my first and he was such a special kitty. Sharing your home with a Siamese is different than sharing your home with cats. They know that they are royalty and demand to be treated as such. I just got an earful from Jesse because I didn't move his heater and bed over to my side of the den fast enough to suit him.

Such exciting news! As a Siamese cat servant myself, I can imagine how quiet your house must be. I hope she’s “home” soon!

Fingers crossed this sweet girl will be snuggling with you in no time! Nothing better than having a cat to warm the heart and the lap. We've been cat-less for almost 6 years now since Xena passed at 19 yrs 7 mths. Would love to have another but we currently have an ss for a dog and it just won't work.

Hurray, and everything crossed for you. My mother had a thing for siamese cats when I was growing up. At one point we had 3 young children, 4 siamese, and two dogs. Ours was not a quiet household I hope you'll share good news and photos soon!

May your kitty come to you quickly and may you two have a long, happy existence together, while you do your friend's bidding.

I am 100% a dog person, but love anything furry and hope that all pets find a great forever home. Today I was in a plant store and they have several rescue kitties. One sleeps in a basket right on the counter where you pay. I had the clerk plant two small plants into a dog planter while I waited and just pet the kitty for about five minutes. Best five minutes of my day. So soft and he seemed a little ticked when I stopped to pay.

May your kitty come to you quickly and may you two have a long, happy existence together, while you do your friend's bidding. This quote expressed my thoughts exactly. I've lived with cats all my life, but Bailey is my third Siamese. Dusty, a Siamese-mix from an "oops litter," taught me how wonderful Siamese cats are, Bree continued my education and now Bailey is my first boy cat ever.

Fingers crossed for you. Milo is a talker. I've already thought when he goes I want another talker, I forgot that siamese are chatty. My uncle and aunt always had siamese they are so pretty.

scrapmaven She will be arriving on Tuesday. I spent the afternoon catifing the house after 6 months break. I washed bedding, bought new stuff and stocked up on the food she is used to etc. More news and pics to follow when she has settled from a rather long nearly cross country journey.

I assume you’ll have her ensconced in one comfortable, quiet room so she can let you know when she’s ready to expand her universe. Sweet girl, she’s been through a lot. With one we had it was 10 minutes, if that. “Open the door, humans!” With another it was several weeks since the gentle boy was part feral. We taped cardboard around a bed before our last adoptee arrived since we had to give her meds. We never dreamed she could squish her tiny self under a bookcase, and there she stayed overnight. I was a wreck but she came out the next morning, asking to be pet. Looking forward to her arrival and your update. 🐈⬛

Congratulations, phoenixcov! I'm so glad to read the update on her imminent arrival. Sounds like you're doing everything you can to offer her the perfect cat home. Soon, you shall be her new servant. Can't wait to see some photos of this beauty and hear all about her chatty Siamese ways. Much love and many years of happiness to you two!

Sorry no pics yet. She is hiding out in her cat carrier. Rio arrived after her long journey and after a trip to the cat litter box and a nibble to eat she proceeded to scent my legs and hands very thoroughly. She is a pretty cat and very affectionate. When my Mister got in from work she quickly made friends with him too. She is free to come and go from her carrier but likes it better if we go to her rather than exploring. She is an ex breeding queen so I don`t know how much she knows about being in a house. We will see how she does today. She talks to me but not so much to my mister, must be the tone of voice I think.
