It's almost time for a new month and that means it's time to think about what you want to accomplish - both scrappy and non-scrappy goals are welcome. And do come back during the month and share what you've accomplished...sometimes that's not exactly what was on the plan, but that's okay too.

I have scrapped most of January, but life is catching up with me, so I won't have as much time to play with paper. The good news is I hope to be spending some time with dgk's and taking lots of photos to scrap later...
Scrappy goals for February:
FINALLY finish my December Album. Almost there. Sort and stow my holiday papers and other scrappy goodies. Refamiliarize myself with photos & stories from 2021 I have yet to scrap. Maybe put together some kits I can pack to take with me in a couple of weeks? Select some supplies to pack in anticipation of scrapping some February photos.

Busy February planned! I have a 2 day crop and a 4 day retreat! My 2 day crop I hope to finish my 2021 Christmas photos that I made a big dent in at my Jan retreat. My DGD2 showed up 5 weeks early in perfect health but a bit smaller than she would have been full term. When I go to my 4 day retreat I am going to work to get her first month photos scrapped, including the baby shower I gave my DIL with probably an album full of photos to be scrapped! Can I do it in 4 days? I'll come back to update! Some fun photos I want to scrap soon are the ones of my DGD1 and I taking ice skating lessons together. Oh my goodness we are barely off the wall after 3 lessons but the photos are too cute! And I have accumulated some ice skating papers and such over the years. Then we got snow and there are such cute photos of DGD1 building a snow man and making snow angels. Soooo, finish Christmas, finish new baby photos. Make a dent in baby shower photos and maybe break it all up with the ice skating and snow photos!

Through a flurry of activity this morning, I slapped together four holiday LO's (7 pages) so I could allow myself to take on the first 28-4-28 challenge.
Now, I can start stuffing all of the holiday scrappy supplies into their corner cabinet where they can live til I need to make Christmas cards next October.

Fingers crossed for February!
-Organize Jan 22 photos -Keep up with Shimelle's BOBW videos, but use my own themed kit and pick photos ahead of time -Be an active part of the Scissor Sisters challenge team -Get my trash situation sorted in my scraproom, maybe two small trash containers instead of one big one? I don't know, silly problems and yet I end up with paper scraps all over my floor. -Continue to work on Flicker (bah, I hate computer stuff) -Come to one Google Meet crop and stay the whole time! No ducking out to pick up DS or make dinner...Have everything ready to go and let others know I am not available during that time.

1️⃣Complete journaling on a stack of layouts and put them in an album 2️⃣ Continue to embellish layouts for Feb 2020 vacation album 3️⃣ Edit and order April 2021 vacation pictures
If I complete these, or just don’t feel like working on them, I’d like to work on scrapping pictures I have on hand.

myboysnme -- My husband and I usually go ice skating around new year's every year. We didn't get to go this year, but I am always clinging to the boards for dear life as he (and allllll the little kids) do laps around me. I should look into eventually taking lessons. My coworker's offered many times. (It also doesn't help me that the ice surface is awful at most of the places we've gone, even though our hockey team practices at one of them!) I am still working on my ticket scrapbook. I had to buy a bigger album because it's so thick. Half of the pages are hockey games alone. I'm also planning on redoing our wedding card scrapbook. I'd originally just been lazy and glued the cards onto 8x8 pages, but I've always hated how thick the book is, so I (gently) ripped the cards off the cardstock I glued them on. I'm going to do one 12x12 page to each card, and have both the outside and inside shown, since you can't exactly open a card when it's behind a page protector. We got a set of invitations that weren't what we ordered, but the company told us to keep them, so I'll be running one through my Cricut for the title page wording (nothing clever, just "Wedding Cards") and then using a heart die cut for something ~extra~ in the corners of pages. The rest of the empty areas on each page will be photos from our wedding. It's been fun to look at those.

I haven't really thought about what I want to work on this month so I'm just going to throw some goals out there and we'll see what sticks:
* do at least 3 more pages in my 2021 PL album * continue working on 2010 PL album * make a start on 2022 * use at least one of Shimelle's BOBW layouts (either the new ones she makes in Feb or an older one I have saved) as inspiration for a layout

I've been scrapbooking regularly, so I'm very happy that I am just doing more scrapbooking overall. I have a few specific things I want to do in February:
- Continue working on 2021 PL - Complete January 2022 PL - Do one layout with mixed media - Keep tracking the supplies that I'm using to make sure more is getting used than is coming in

My very general, fluid goals are:
Try to work on the photos/layouts in my zoo album that have just been put in a page protector as a place holder chronologically.
Finish last year's birthday layouts before this year's birthdays happen.
So far I have worked on putting together a few layouts for the zoo album.
I'm in a weird place with my scrapping right now where I'm putting the pages in albums even if they don't feel perfectly finished. They are okay, but not as embellished as I really want them. But at the same time, I don't know what else I want to put on them. At some point this year, I need to do in person stash shopping. I've only scrap shopped online for two years now, but i really need to browse irl to find exactly what i need that i didn't know i was looking for.
I'm also keeping a running list of items and themes I want to buy for.
While scrapping I find I have nothing for a certain theme, but when I shop I can't think of what I need.
I'm also kicking around the idea of ordering photo prints every two months, instead of every single month. I haven't been taking a lot of photos, and shipping seems to have really gone up.

Complete my 2021 project life spreads. I am on week 44. Pack for and attend a 5 day crafty retreat - I'll bring the above PL work + some cards that I want to make. Work dropped a big project in my lap, so my crafty time will be limited...I'll have more than a few long days.

My February focus is on finishing cards from my work in progress box. They’re neat and tidy, I sorted them the other day and made sure they were all in plastic envelopes to keep the dust off them, but I was shocked by how many I have and how many are almost done, just need a sentiment or some glue (once I make a commitment to the design). I’m going with the philosophy that done is better than “perfect” and good enough is good enough. I’ll try to come up with a tally of what I get done - I’ve already started

Would like to get caught up on my monthly pocket pages. I have managed to finish through September. I realized I need to do better at taking more daily photos and documenting what we are watching and reading.

Checking in after my 2 day crop, which I feel was overall unproductive. I worked on finishing up Christmas photos but basically got maybe half of them completed. After I put them away I noticed that some of the pictures in my pile have already been scrapped, so in away, when I do get back to finishing these Christmas photos there were be a few less!
I have spent the last few days getting ready for a 4 day retreat. I am determined to be productive with my DGD2's first month photos. If all goes as planned I will have most all of her first month scrapped by next Monday. Will let you know how I do! Wish me luck!

Things should slow down a bit so I can get those layouts into an album very soon and then move on from there.

I’m making some progress on my February goals.
1. Finish Christmas/winter reorganization and get everything put away. I’m separating my scrapping & card making since I don’t use the same papers or types of embellishments for both. I plan to integrate the scrapping supplies into my “regular” stash and pack the Christmas/Hanukkah/Holiday card supplies in a tub & store in the attic. I’m hoping to complete that by the end of the weekend.
2. Make 50 cards for Cards for Kindness. I’ve finished 26 cards so far.
It feels really good to get things done that aren’t “must do” or priority goals in terms of “my life” but make me feel like I’ve really accomplished something when they’re done.

rymeswithpurple, can you tell me more about your ticket album? I’ve been thinking of doing one for my Indy 500 tickets. They are very distinctive & fun tickets. I just can’t figure out how to approach this in a way that will do the tickets justice. Do you have pictures of your album posted anywhere?
