****4/19/23 UPDATE****
My mom entered hospice yesterday, her cancer came back in the lining of her brain. She is comfortable and will hopefully will pass quickly and peacefully.
I know that all of the cards y'all sent really helped her through her treatment and she saved every single one. I hope my dad will send them to me so I can keep them.
I'm broken but ok, she wouldn't know if I was there anyway.
Thank you again
****8/17 Update****
My dd's and I just got home yesterday from our road trip and y'all won't believe what I have to share....
MY MOM IS IN REMISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The treatment worked better than everyone expected and although it will definitely come back for right now she is ok. Her hair is growing back and she is able to eat again. She's maintaining a healthy 117lbs. We had so much fun and all the grandkids came over to see us.
I'm exhausted but happy that I got to look her in the eyes and tell her exactly how much she means to me and how lucky I am that she's my mom!
Within an hour of arriving she brought out all the cards she's received and got emotional telling me how much they helped keep her going. She wants me to tell you all thank you and sends love, prayers, and hugs to you all!
****2/20 Update*****
She sent me another thank you list:
"Everyday has been a blessing. I call you my guardian angels because each of you took the time to make and send me beautiful cards, each one puts a big smile on my face. I truly appreciate your prayers and thoughts. I feel in my heart that I know each of you and it gives me warm feelings to know that you care. You will be rewarded for your inspiration and kindness.
Thank you to:
Angela
Kristine
Pat
Kellee
Jo
Amy
Wendy
And one other that I'm not able to make out the name, she made a card with "A Truckload of Happiness"."
Her spirits are high and her next chemo is March 2nd.
Thank you just aren't big enough words to express how I feel.

You guys are amazing! Here is an email she sent me:
"To all of you that sent a card, please know how much I really appreciate them, they are all just beautiful and mean a lot to me. Thank you for being so thoughtful and caring. Since I can't meet any of you in person please accept my gratitude:
Joyce
Lisa
Ryann
Cindi
Stephanie
Jodi
Maria
Joylene (I think)
Love,
Ann"
She is responding well to chemo and ate a whole sandwich yesterday, first time in months! We know it won't cure her but she is happy and not hurting as much and honestly, what more could you ask for!
UPDATE:
I spoke with mom today as she starts her chemo tomorrow. She was in a great mood and got teary when she told me about the lovely cards she's received! Y'all have done me such a wonderful service and she has been so excited to get the mail. My dad says thank you to all of you as well, they are both deeply touched.
Thank you just doesn't seem like a big enough word to express my gratitude, so please know how much I really appreciate the kindness shown to my family. After she finishes this round of chemo we'll know better about how long she has with us.
OP:
Hey pea friends!
I've joined an unfortunate club, my mom has stage 4 terminal lung cancer. Just typing that out makes my soul hurt.
She's in really good spirits and focusing on the time she has left. I was hoping y'all might help me reward her positivity with encouraging cards.
Nothing sad, only uplifting please.
If anyone would like to send her one please make a note that you are Kathy's crafty friend so she won't be freaked out and post a comment below and I'll private message you the address.
I just want to keep her smiling, she's such an amazing person and mom.
Thanks,
Kathy
