My Challenges for 28-4-28 will all be shapes this year.
The first one is Hexagons
For an extra 5 points add something that someone gave you to your layout. In this case Maribeth sent me the stamps for the girls. My grand-daughter wasted no time in grabbing them.

Fun challenge, gramma . I will need to pull out my hex dies. I left love on Flickr for your great LO. Great job using those gifted stamped images.

Such a pretty layout! I really like how many hexagons you used and it doesn't look busy at all.

gramma thank you for the hexagon challenge. It was perfect for my six sided snowflakes. I can see why your granddaughter was attracted to your stamps. I love all the patterns in your layout - like they are potential patterns for the dresses on the dolls or something. Here is my hexagon layout. The little snowman stamp and the sticker letters were given to me.

Thanks for the fun challenge, I LOVE hexagons! I recently bought a set of four templates, all with hexagons, so this challenge was perfect!

AussieMeg Just beautiful, how the colors are the colors of the socks - one of the many advantages of digital in precise expert hands! I love how naturally you used the hexagons. I love your work.

Thanks for this challenge gramma. I love your pages and left comments in the gallery. AussieMeg and scrappyrabbit, you also have love in the gallery. jjpeapea, I love your ice storm page. The hexagons are perfect for the (correct) 6-pointed snowflakes. I love the tiny little snowmen, snowflakes and snowballs. It’s amazing to see the ice caked around each branch of your tree. Great photo. I don’t envy you the ice storms. We get snow, but not many ice storms. I'm glad you documented this. Linda, those hexagons in the background let your photos take center stage. You got some great photos from the Math Bee. The little bees are perfect embellishments. Great design element with the strip journaling. Beautiful pages. Here is my hexagon page with most of the hexagons being patterned paper. The black strips are really gold metallic stickers. For the twist, my friend, Deanna, gave me the tiny Stampin' Up hearts and pearls. Adventures with Grandpa

Everyone has done such an amazing job with this challenge. I will be back to leave some love later. I am not that excited about this LO, but it is DONE, and it meets the challenge & twist (if receiving swag at a crop is accepted as "a gift", gramma). The hidden journaling is on the two sides of the tag tucked behind my photo. Birthday wishes & technical issues by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

gramma - I love all the small, subtle prints you used in your hexagons - and the dark borders jjpeapea - the snowflakes with the hexagons are a perfect border for your snowy photos! AussieMeg - pretty colours - I like how they are softer tones of the sock colours. And your hexagons are a great base for your clusters. scrappyrabbit - awesome outdoorsy layout -great choice of patterned papers - looks like a nature trail almost with the hexagons stretching diagonally across the layout. nylene - I like how you added dimension to the patterned paper with the diecut hexagons. That photo is so cute! grammadee - so many photos and room for hexagons as well? You are a master at squeezing on all the photos and still embellishing. I like the simple background

scrappyrabbit, I love how many hexagons you used, in all those Mother Nature colors. I couldn't agree more: Just hike and be happy! nylene what an adorable picture and layout! I sent you a message about Scooby Doo. I love the colors of your hexagon paper and how you used them in other elements. grammadee your birthday in the layout looks so fun. I like how your hexagons are cut from all kinds of papers, they're so interesting.

I do not consider hexagons to be my friend, I really struggle with using them so I was pretty excited to realise this paper was hexagons. The photo placement was entirely determined by the fact there's a photo sized gap in the patterned paper in that position but I really like how this off centred design worked out as I've just used the scraps without making any further cuts. This design, putting the title and other details in the white space between the patterns, was inspired by a video I watched this week on coliebing's youtube.

grammadee - I too am using "swag bag" items as my twist today - the photoplay bee collection (don't know the name!) was NOT my favourite in colour or theme! But here it is gramma - I even put hexies inside my hexies with the old vellum! layout like bees to honey by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Linda, the red/grey/black combo looks great here, especially with that grey kitty and the red shirt. @chinagilr828 and kitbop, there will be love in the Gallery.

Here is mine. The full sheet of paper I used as the background is from a scrapbook kit my cousin gave me.

I was surprised to find that I don't have any hexagon dies but was able to find two small orange hexagon chipboard pieces in my stash, so I hope this is acceptable! No twist.

Here is my page for the hexagon challenge - this one was fun. No twist, because I couldn't think of anything I had been given - I buy scrapbook stash before anyone can THINK about giving me something lol. Seize the day by Joyfulnana, on Flickr
