Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America
02/14/22
Can you imagine that, what should be the biggest story of our time, bigger than Watergate, is getting absolutely no mention, ZERO, in the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC Fake News, NBC Fake News, CBS Fake News, ratings-dead CNN, and MSDNC. This in itself is a scandal, the fact that a story so big, so powerful, and so important for the future of our Nation is getting zero coverage from LameStream, is being talked about all over the world. Just like they wouldn’t talk about the many Biden corruption scandals prior to the Election, (or for that matter now!), they won’t talk about this, which is potentially even bigger. It shows how totally corrupt and shameless the media is. Can you imagine if the roles were reversed and the Republicans, in particular President Donald Trump, got caught illegally spying into the Office of the President? All hell would break loose and the electric chair would immediately come out of retirement. The good news is, everybody is talking about not only this atrocity against our Nation, but that the press refuses to even mention the major crime that took place.

And all being released as the sh*t is hitting the fan with TFG’s removing documents and classified documents.
Smoke and mirrors! Don’t be fooled.

The right is really frothing about this “conspiracy.” Could this be an attempt to distract from the fact that Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars, effectively *fired* him, saying that they don’t trust the financial documents that he has given them? And coincidentally, the NY AG has just filed a lot of those documents?
I’m just spitballing here, but I have to wonder if this is an attempt to deflect away from Trump’s troubles. I mean, they are trotting out Hillary Clinton, so they must be desperate. And id you go to Twitter and search for “John Durham filing” you will find a LOT of articles, all mentioning Clinton.

Someone sure has their knickers in a knot here. I've never seen so many tweets strung together as I have in this thread and on this topic. It's taken a few days, but the spin is picking up!
This is the real Russia collusion. The state run media, the DNC, hillary, etc. worked overtime on this one and they did a great job to bullshit, bamboozle, and lie to their followers.
Next up will be the left wingers' name calling, it's to be expected. However, Durham doesn't seem to be on hillary's/DNC payroll. Durham doesn't seem to be going away. Durham is just quietly moving along. It's the lefties that are making the noise, lol.
And Jake Sullivan? He shouldn't be trusted to provide national security to goldfish let alone the American people.
I'm gonna sit back and enjoy the show.

But, just to appease you for a moment, one of my biggest issues with joe was his withdrawal from afghanistan. I said at the time my issues, I stand by them. I'm not alone. Check out the Army report. Or don't.
Moving back to today.

If I remember correctly you were not the one to yell “Afghanistan” when the question was asked. You went silent and came back and mumble something that made no sense and disappeared. Yes it is my thread and I’m going slightly left with the topic because I find if one asks you specific questions you scurry away….

Rubio is being called for his misinformation!! Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has been on the Senate Intelligence Committee for several years. Certainly, he's been there long enough to know the facts about special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. The Trump campaign’s interactions with Russian intelligence services during the 2016 presidential election posed a 'grave' counterintelligence threat," Rubio's committee found in 2020 when the committee was being run by the GOP. *** But Trump-appointed investigator John Durham submitted a court filing that was heavy on accusations but short on evidence. Since then, the right-wing media has misconstrued the information even further........ www.rawstory.com/marco-rubio-lies-duroham-investigation/

Nobody "infiltrated" anything. It’s a totally false inference from a filing that doesn’t even assert that. The data Sussmann gave to “Agency-2” (presumably the CIA), which was not illegally obtained and par for the course, was data gathered while Obama was still president. Sussmann did not coordinate with the Clinton Campaign; neither did Joffe.

Paul Waldman’s column in the Washington Post…
“Opinion: The Republican propaganda machine kicks into high gear”
By Paul Waldman Columnist
“Those of us in the media who worry about misinformation regularly face a dilemma: When some appalling new story emerges of political actors lying to the public, should you confront it? Or will the attempt to debunk the story only draw more attention to it, spreading the lies further?
There’s no perfect answer that fits every situation. But at the very least, it’s important to understand how systems of propaganda operate, so we can try to minimize the damage they do. And never in our history has there been a propaganda system that operates with the skill, enthusiasm and outright shamelessness of the one conservatives have working for them right now. That’s depressingly evident in the latest “blockbuster” story gripping the right, a story built on a grab bag of misleading assertions, misinterpretations and outright lies. It forces us to ask yet again: Is it possible to have a healthy democracy when so much of it is soaking in misinformation?
The current story concerns John Durham, the special counsel who has spent almost three years investigating the investigation into Russia’s attempts to subvert the 2016 election. You can read a comprehensive rundown of the facts here or here.
Durham has indicted Democratic lawyer Michael Sussmann for allegedly lying to the FBI, which Sussmann denies. In 2016, Sussmann, whose firm was doing legal work for Hillary Clinton’s campaign, gave the FBI a tip involving supposedly suspicious internet traffic between servers in Trump buildings and a Russian bank; it turned out to be nothing nefarious.
Sussman got the information through another client of his, Rodney Joffe, a technology executive with government cybersecurity contracts, including one that involved protecting the White House from cyber attacks.
In a court filing last week, Durham alleged that Joffe “exploited” his arrangement with the White House to obtain the data in question “for the purpose of gathering derogatory information about Donald Trump."
Joffe vigorously denies this. His spokesperson says examining such data was par for the course, as he was doing cybersecurity work for the government, and in late 2016, everyone was appropriately concerned about Russian hacking. Durham has not indicted Joffe for anything.
But this is where the propaganda machine goes nuclear.
Fox News is treating this like a stunning revelation (“Worse than Watergate” trumpeted Sean Hannity), dramatically amping up the story with each retelling. After all, it isn’t good enough to say a lawyer with a second-order connection to the Clinton campaign got information from another client with legitimate access to White House internet traffic data; that’s not nearly scandalous enough.
So Fox published a headline reading “Clinton campaign paid to ‘infiltrate’ Trump Tower, White House servers.” The Washington Examiner claimed Sussmann “spied on Trump’s White House office” — even though the internet data came from 2016, when Barack Obama was president.
“Hillary broke into a presidential candidate’s computer server and a sitting president’s computer server,” claimed Fox host Jesse Watters ludicrously. “There, her hackers planted evidence, fabricated evidence connecting Trump to Russia.” Tucker Carlson added that Clinton stole “presumably text messages,” which not even Durham alleges.
These are all lies. This is not about “hacking,” no evidence was planted, and the data on White House traffic came from when Obama was president. You can argue that Durham’s filing was itself misleading and tendentious, but even if every word of it was true, what they were saying on Fox was outrageously false.
But the propaganda machine doesn’t stop there. Republican politicians — even those who know better — see their constituents being fed this line, so they rush to get in on the act:
The coverage has gone meta; Fox is now angrily asking why other news outlets are not matching their breathless coverage of this nothingburger, feeding their viewers’ paranoid fantasies about cover-ups and conspiracies.
So in no time, we move from questionable claims to obviously false allegations to demands for legal retaliation against political opponents to whining about their own victimhood, with the enthusiastic participation of GOP officeholders, none of whom has the courage to say, “Hey guys, I hate Hillary as much as anyone, but it seems like we’re running out ahead of the facts here.”
That’s because every Republican relies on the propaganda machine. It helps their own campaigns. It keeps the base in a state of perpetual anger. And if you question it, you will become its enemy.
This is happening while there’s an entire trial going on in New York about a single inaccurate word in a New York Times editorial about Sarah Palin — an editorial that was quickly corrected. The Times is falling all over itself to explain how it got something wrong, and no one on the left is defending the paper.
Meanwhile, Fox programming contains extraordinary amounts of factual errors, misleading assertions, and outright lies, almost none of which ever get corrected.
So where does that leave us? The unfortunate answer is that when a propaganda apparatus like this one is so deeply embedded within one of our parties, it becomes almost impossible to puncture. Fantasies are accepted as fact, lies become immune to refutation, and anyone who displays even a modicum of honesty is denounced as a traitor.
There may be a solution out there, a strategy to pull our politics back to reality. But if there is, we haven’t found it yet.”

This is the core of the problem—Durham insinuates in a legal filing. That’s underhanded.
Sussmann’s role as it pertained to the DNC and the Clinton Campaign was limited only to advising them on how to respond to the Russian hacking of the DNC network in 2015 and 2016. Marc Elias was the general counsel for the Clinton Campaign, not Sussmann.
This specific filing is merely to point out the conflict of interest that may exist because Sussmann’s lawyers at Latham & Watkins LLP: (i) previously represented others in the Special Counsel’s investigation whose interests may conflict with those of the defendant, (ii) previously represented the defendant and his prior employer in connection with events that likely will be relevant at trial or at any sentencing, and (iii) maintained professional and/or personal relationships with individuals who could be witnesses in these proceedings. That's all it is. But what Durham has done is to use his filing as a vehicle to insinuate skullduggery (not the first time he's done this) between Sussmann and the Clinton Campaign.
If he had evidence that Sussmann was coordinating with the Clinton Campaign to infiltrate Trump’s servers and harvest data with the express purpose of damaging Trump, then he should have claimed so on his indictment or filed an amended indictment. If he believed that Joffe was involved in an illegal surveillance, then he would have indicted Joffee. Durham has done neither precisely because he has no proof. And he has no proof because whatever is being alleged did NOT happen!

This… Reminded me of the article below in Slate. The guy is right, you follow the money and in the Mueller investigation they didn’t David Fahrenhold was the Washington Post reporter who brought to everyone’s attention, including the AG of New York, that trump’s favorite charity he liked to support with donations to his foundation was himself. But a while back be wrote this in the Washington Post about trump’s organization spending spree with cash. trump is a crappy businessman with all of his bankruptcies and failed ventures. He has all these loans. Apparently a bunch are coming due. So where did his organization get $400 million dollars to go on spending spree from? One of Mueller’s top lawyers on the investigation, Andrew Weismann brought to everyone’s attention they didn’t follow the money. Why didn’t they? Seems to that is a pretty basic starting point if you want to get the entire story From Slate…. link“A big story in Sunday’s Washington Post lays out in detail how Donald Trump’s business, in the years before Trump became president, went on what the newspaper describes as a “buying binge,” purchasing property and extending the reach of the brand. What’s most surprising, however, is that much of this—at least $400 million worth—was done in cash. Not only was it a surprising strategy for someone who famously—and infamously—used to go into debt to make purchases; it also raises the question of exactly where the cash came from. And, indeed, this question may be of interest to federal investigators. The Post article was written by three reporters: Jonathan O’Connell, Jack Gillum, and David A. Fahrenthold. After its publication, I spoke by phone with Fahrenthold, who won a Pulitzer Prize last year for his coverage of Trump’s charitable work. (He also broke the story of the Access Hollywood tape.) During the course of our conversation, which has been edited and condensed for clarity, we discussed how the Post came upon this story, what makes the Trump business so unusual, and where reporting on Trump’s finances goes from here.” & Q - Most people in the real estate business seem to believe paying cash isn’t the best way to make deals, which raises the question of why he was doing this. And, if he had $400 million in cash during this period, that’s a bit of a security blanket for a bank who might lend to him. How do you understand that contradiction? A - by Fahrenhold “It certainly seems to be a contradiction, as you said. For most people, if you had $400 million, you wouldn’t just sink it all into golf courses, which are notorious as not-great moneymakers. You would use it as leverage to get more loans, or things with a greater rate of return, especially if you had $400 million in the period after the great recession, 2008–2009. You would be in a position to buy a lot of assets—real money-making assets—really cheaply. The only explanation we have gotten from the Trumps is from Eric, who said they were changing the business, and that it wouldn’t be a traditional big borrow, big risk, big reward real estate business anymore. Instead it’s like a generational business. We are going to buy these assets and we are going to produce a cash return and live off it, and we aren’t going to be the wheeler dealers of years passed. But even that explanation has its own contradictions, because they do take on two really risky, really large transactions with debt, both with Deutsche Bank: the Doral golf course in Florida, and the old Post Office hotel in D.C. Those are both really old-style Trump deals with a lot of debt and a lot of risk.”
