Hello everyone, and welcome to the weekend! Today I have two sketches for you. The first one is a 12x12 Scrapbook Generation sketch from NSD 2019. The other is a 24x12 PageMaps sketch. The twist this week is to take something from one sketch to use on the other sketch. For example: ~ Use the background elements from one sketch on the other sketch ~ Replace one side of the double page sketch with the 12x12 sketch ~ Replace the square photos from the first sketch with the 6x4 photos on the second sketch ~ Use the clouds and rainbow from the second sketch on the first sketch Here is my layout. I used the top and bottom strips and circle elements from the 12x12 sketch on the 24x12 sketch. The photos were taken yesterday when we went out for lunch for DSO's 50th birthday. I don't think I've ever been so up-to-date hahaha! For those of you who are in a team, you can earn FIVE points for meeting this challenge, and an additional TWO POINT BONUS for also meeting the twist on this same project. If you can complete ALL of the 28-4-28 challenges by the end of this quarter, you can earn a BONUS of 280 points.

AussieMeg thank you for the sketch challenge! Your food looks delicious. I used the single page sketch, but borrowed elements from the double pager: journaling method, the frame with objects (stars instead of hearts), scallops at the bottom, date on the side of the journaling.

I used the photo arrangement from the first and the paper arrangement from the second. I also layered the title to meet Challenge 28. Now & Then

Oh boy, you said "mash em up" and mash em I did! I think you can see many of the influences: top/border strips, grid of 4 photos, circles/stars, cluster/title placement, and even the polaroid frames. layout on the go eats by kirstendrew, on Flickr

I combined the two sketches, using the single page layout along with the cloud embellishments included on the double page spread to collect the bonus!

scrappyrabbit Thank you so much for the kind words. Yes, those are die cuts that I cut out with my Gemini. I bought them years ago because we use to go the beach and the aquarium so much.

AussieMeg, thank you for this challenge and all the challenges you have hosted for 28-4-28, Your pages are lovely. You have love in the gallery. jjpeapea, your tree lighting page is so pretty. I love the 3 different Christmas icons you used as borders. Your circle clusters are very well placed. Love that you got to attend this and took photos. It’s always so cold that we seldom go anymore. Great job. scrappyrabbit, justjac, kitbop, Ryann, you have love in the gallery. destined2bmom, your pages are beautiful. I love the background paper that looks embossed. Is it? Your seagulls and fish and seaweed and waves are amazing. You have done a marvelous job embellishing these pages. I love your photos. In fact, I love every inch of these pages! What a wonderful adventure. I have to explain my pages. I started out with 4 photos, one in a Polaroid frame, but on my small canvas I couldn’t make it work. I then changed it to 3 photos. That took most of my page so I couldn’t do much more. I turned the 2nd page sideways and put the title underneath. By the time I finished, you’d never know I started with the sketch. Unfortunately, that often happens to me. LOL. I took the circles from the other page and thought I’d use snowballs, but ended up using snowflakes instead. Can you tell I struggle with 12x12 sketches on my 8.5x11 pages? But I am happy with it in the end. Snow Day

Thank you so much for your kind comments nylene. No the main pages are not embossed; but they are textured. I also love your pages with the soft colors and your beautiful family!

Here is my mashup, AussieMeg. I used the two pager as a guide, and then threw it the "cookies" for the circles in the single page sketch. I had thought I would use stars, too, but ended up with just the "chocolate chips" and "M&M" dots. Family Day baking by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

jjpeapea, I love how the pinks in the background bring out the night time photos! Awesome non traditional pallet for scrapping Christmas. Ryann, I love what you do with those b&w backgrounds! So much to love about your page here: the cute photos, layered torn edges, cascading clouds, awesome clusters... destined2bmom, I love all the nautical elements and how you have clustered and interwoven them in the Behind the Scenes Tour LO. Love all the blues in the photos and how those yellow diecuts really grab your attention. I think I caught the rest of these creations on Flickr.

I used the second sketch for this - changed up page 2 to accommodate portrait pics
