I just got back from my LSS. They started carrying Mintay lines last year. I just picked up some papers to use for spring cards (Happy Place from 2020). So excited to use these gorgeous papers. They also had some nice sentiment stamp/die sets from Avery Elle and an every occasion stamp set from Spellbinders.
I also told the woman working about us. She knew about the original 2Peas, so possibly created a new pea as well. I’ve been on a roll!

Im completely jealous you have a local store! I spent some time this morning looking online for Spring supplies...I think I found the stamp set I want to use. No Just need to figure out the color scheme and order inks.

I made a big order from Simon Says Stamps - a couple of gorgeous dies and paper, paper, and more paper (as well as a few other things) the other day. After not really papercrafting for such a long time (15+ years), I want it ALL. I've never been much into stamping, but the positioning things that closes like a book is pretty cool. I need to find some good, general classes and/or online videos about basic cardmaking/stamping. Any suggestions girls? I'm all ears!

There is so much cool stuff out there now, it is hard not to want it all! Re general classes, there's always Jennifer McGuire. Her videos are very good but sometimes her definition of "easy" or "quick" does not match mine. And I have been stamping for over 20 years. Is there a particular style you prefer? I've found that following the stamp companies I like is very helpful. Both Taylored Expressions and Honey Bee Stamps have really good videos that go through all the steps in the construction of a card and all the supplies needed. I seem to always pick up some tidbit from every video of theirs that I watch.

I follow Kristie Marcotte. I find new card sketches through her videos. I don’t have the patience to visit every sketch site and scroll through cards.

Then the pandemic hit. But she’s hanging in there. I think it’s a passion project and not her livelihood. She also hosts crops. I have a 3 day one next weekend at a local hotel. Then for NSD it will be a 2 day crop at the store.

I'm lucky. About 30 minutes from my house I have a very nice LLS. She gets all the new stuff and starting to bring more European stamps, what is existing to see. The store is big and now she has a discount store next to it. I like Vicky P. videos youtube.com/c/VickyPapaioannouShe has mixed media art journal page and card making videos.

I have the Tim Holtz version of this and LOVE it, especially when making cards in bulk. The sentiment is in the same place every time. I also find that it makes it really easy to use the stamp/die sets. If I forget and die cut the shape first, I can line it up and then stamp with the platform. I just put a bit of repositional tape on the back of the shape to adhere it to the stamping platform.

I totally forgot that I had asked about card-making. Thank you for your suggestions! I’ve bookmarked this thread and will check into them this week for sure 😊
