There's more facts and event together with a timeline on this LINK It very much a must read for anyone that is interested in following the Holodomor history. Also a Documentary " The Living" about the Welsh journalist but made by Ukrainians and featuring real people which is probably more accurate than the " Mr Jones" film made by Netflix, although factual of events but dramatized for screen.

I did know about it but I learned about it within the last 2 months watching a movie I can't remember the name of for the life of me. If I do recall it later I'll come back and update this post. Was it Bitter Harvest? Yes! That was the movie-thank you so much. It was a terrible movie (in my opinion) but it did teach me about The Holodome.

I love historical fiction and especially when a book or movie covers a topic I'm not familiar with. I had such high hopes for this film. Not to mention Max Irons was in it-he played King Edward in The White Queen.

I knew about this as a youth. My brother owned a 39 volume set of Time Life WWII books and I read them numerous time. It is in there somewhere. I don't remember the specific name mentioned but it definitely covered the forced starvation.
Stalin starving his citizens in general is paralleled in Animal Farm.

I heard a great podcast about this a while back, but can't remember where. Such a sad story- so many lives lost!
