I really, truly don't get it. I have 4 kids (10B, 7G, 5G, 2B) and my 2 girls are HUGE JoJo Siwa fans. We've talked about girls liking girls, and boys liking boys, here and there, but when JoJo came out and announced a girlfriend it was brought up again.
-Mommy, JoJo has a GIRLfriend?
Yup. Remember when I said girls can like girls, too?

Well there you go. JoJo is gay. She's a girl who likes girls.
-Oh, oh yeah, I remember. Cool.
We've also had simple, age appropriate discussions on trans-persons, and being bisexual and pan. It's not at all a hard concept for them to grasp and understand. I don't know the stats, but I really hope there are more of us raising tolerant and inclusive children than not.
