I would still keep up with the mirrorless releases and see if there are any standouts from the (many, oh-so-many!) reviews you can find online and especially on YouTube. I had my eye on a particular Fujifilm and threw it into CamelCamelCamel for a price drop alert. Got it over a year later for a very affordable price, much to my surprise. Your current upgrade shouldn't keep you away from getting a nice little camera later on...
