I really want a die cutting machine that I don't have to crank. I am NOT spending money until after I move. Rinse and repeat! Rinse & repeat that mantra for me too! It’s tough packing stuff up What will I use in the next few months what can I do without?

My mother has one. She also has a larger Gemini. She placed a preorder for it 2 years ago and then with the long wait ended up buy a Gemini. She's very happy with it. I'm not sure there is a big difference between it and the Gemini but it does maybe seem a bit quieter and a bit more smooth. I like the size of it but I have the gemini juniour so ..... I think it's really just personal preference. I did notice that there are sandwich instructions on the base plate. I do really like that because I feel like sometimes its a bit of a crap shoot with the Gemini to get it right. She has't had the kind of warping that you get with the Gemini plates but she did just get it and has only used it a handful of times. My Gemini Junior does the sandwich in the manual for all dies. I don’t get plate warping but I’m religious about both turning and flipping the plates and placing dies all over the plate. It was a hard to break the habit of putting smaller dies in the middle only. And the bottom plate is never cut into. Embossing folders are the odd man out since there’s no uniformity between manufacturers, and using a variety of papers - from thin rice paper to very thick watercolor paper or cardstock. So when I figure the sandwich out it’s written on a Post-It and put inside the embossing folder.

I like that it cuts all kinds of dies. I have quite a few Sizzix dies and that keeps me from buying a machine like the Gemini. ? I have quite a few Sizzix dies and use them in my Gemini Junior. Or do you mean the thick steel rule dies?

It's been several months since the Switch came out and I'm wondering what you think of it if you own one. It seems they were unavailable for quite a while after release and I'm not seeing a lot of press or reviews on these. I was thinking of putting this on my gift wish list, but not sure.

What drew me to the Switch was the large opening. I can put a full size sheet of paper 8.5 x 11 and lay out all my dies and cut! It takes the Bigz Dies, the thinlets, framelits, 3D embossing folders and impresslits. Electric machines are so nice to use! I do use my bigz dies and like having the ability to use both bigz and thinlets.

It doesn’t sound any better than my trusty Gemini Junior, so I’m just going to stick with that, thank you very much. 😊 Same here.

I would like one I think , but I wouldn’t have a place to plug it in to. So I will have to just keep my old one.
