I can’t remember the last nap I took with the exception of a two hour the morning we arrived in Iceland after being up over 24 hours.

For the non-nappers...do you have caffeine in the morning or throughout the day? I don't do any caffeine and I'm always tired in the afternoons. If I can get a 15-20 nap, then I'm good for the rest of the day. I just wonder if I wouldn't need the nap if I were caffeinated...

Every single day. Anywhere from 30 minutes to almost 2 hours. I have chronic pain and often don't sleep well at night.
My mom has taken a 20 minute nap everyday ever since I can remember.

I usually take a 20 minute nap in my car on my lunch break, it's all that gets me through the day.

Speaking for myself, I do have one 8 Oz cup of coffee in the morning, but only water after that. My husband on the other hand drinks coffee all day long, probably 5 or 6 cups a day and can fall asleep within 30 seconds of announcing he is going to take a nap. I think some people just need more sleep.

I have caffeine in the form of Iced Tea (black or green) in the morning and then for lunch. I don't have caffeine after 1 or 2PM. Tea generally has less caffeine than coffee, and I drink probably about 10-12 oz total in a day.

Yes. Sometimes once or twice a week. Sometimes once or twice a month. My napping varies based on my insomnia and my work schedule.
If I am sluggish, tired, over-tired, lack energy due to lack of sleep.... then I take a nap. It helps me feel refreshed, and it helps boost my energy level. Sometimes I just need to lay down, to decompress my neck and between my shoulder area. I carry my stress in my neck and shoulders....tight and knotted. Laying down helps me destress and decompress.

Naps are one of my favorite things in the whole world. I hate missing an afternoon nap. I like it to be 2 hours at least.

It has some caffeine in, but not as much as black tea or coffee. I don't notice any difference if I drink fruit teas or water instead though - still can't nap. I wake up tired and I'm tired at varying levels all day. It's so frustrating.

I used to nap until I had DS. My mother used to say I was the only child on the planet that put themselves down for a nap. Saturday afternoons, if I was home, I’d nap. Currently I nap after chemo and days 2-4 after chemo. Honestly days 2 & 3 I nap in the morning then again in the afternoon.
If it weren’t for chemo, I wouldn’t nap. When I try, I end up lying down and my to-do list goes through my head and I end up getting up.

Once in awhile, but I try not to. Same. If I’m sick, yes because I know sleep will help. And Christmas afternoon because I always host Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. Everyone knows not to bother me on Christmas afternoon. That’s the only time I nap.

I’ll be honest - I’d read about the Alzheimers/napping/sleep connection theories in grad school so I swore off them. No one knows which comes first so it’s not like napping causes Alzheimers but it just stuck in my head; I don’t take them so they don’t screw with my nighttime sleeping patterns

I do, but I don't call them naps. I call them my afternoon 'sits'. Around 2-3 p.m., I sit in my big comfy chair, put my feet up, turn on the TV and just sort of doze. The actual napping part only lasts 20 minutes or so, but I can sit in that chair for more than an hour! I'm usually up very early in the morning, so I need that rest in the afternoon. I like to say I'm retired - I was tired yesterday and I'm tired again today!
