I think CHA used to be in January? Anyone here going to it? I enjoy watching the videos of the new products and seeing the booths. It seems like the scrapbook companies aren't holding back their releases but hopefully we will get a few nice surprises.

Seth Apter mentioned this today during his Live demoing his new Ice colours. I thought I was hearing things. So this is real?

I saw Simple Stories listed but not many other scrapbook companies, maybe because it's in Florida less are going?

Has anyone seen any sneaks? Or have the companies already revealed all their new products?

I can't wait for the videos! I hope we get some of the usual pre-pandemic folks who used to go around the booths and film everything. I never see scrap products IRL so this is always a nice way to evaluate what the new stuff actually looks like. Professional photos and digital mock-ups rarely show the true brightness and colour rendition...

Someone on youtube gave a quick tour of the showroom with booths starting to be put together and she said the 8th and 9th was for classes and the next three days for the exhibits.

grammadee I don’t think Alice from Scrap Happy is going to Creativation. She is doing Happy @ Home videos this month.

I don't know about anyone doing videos but Victoria Calvin is there for SCT and Mindy Eggen (cardmaker) is perhaps teaching a class on ink blending (?) I don't think I've seen any other scrappy celebs I follow getting on planes.

Oh I'm excited to see that Spellbinders is coming out with an extended platform for the Platinum machine! Now I can definitely get rid of my bulky Big Shot.

I saw that Altenew is coming out with their own stamp platform which looks interesting. This along with the platform that The Stamp Market is coming out with is something I'm looking forward to. I love that we'll have options besides MISTI.

That’s the one I liked more! The one “on steroids,” as mamagidget called it (ha!) had too many hidden compartments for me, though of course they could be labeled.

Kind of sad we're not seeing the new scrapbook collections on display. I miss designers talking us through the inspiration and showing off the papers, embellishments and extras.

i remember going to CHA when they held them in Vegas. it was the heydey of scrapbooking and there were so many big vendors that are no longer around today. there were demos in just about every booth and the new products were exciting. i used to go home with a suitcase full of giveaways from those events. i miss those days.

I remember hearing about some retailers bringing entourages to CHA, not only staff but favourite customers as well. Didn't the show have to start limiting guests or something because of this? I used to dream of going. I still would love it, to be honest.

To be honest, I was always a little jealous of all the customers and influencers who got to go. I did go to the consumer version of CHA back in 2007 (?), and it was fun, but I'm sure it wasn't the same as the "real" one.
