One of my newest villagers just asked me if he could move out. Really? When I say "newest" I mean really new. I thought the newer ones wouldn't ask? And why the heck doesn't my monkey or koala ask? ? They've been here FOREVER. I may have to resort to the time travel method of trying to get them to ask to go. I forget exactly what it is...I'll have to look it up again. But it's worked for me in the past. Something about counting days, time traveling to that day, exiting without saving, and some combination of all of those. lol Your newest person should not ask, but if you just invited someone right after them, then they are no longer the newest. After someone moves in, it's supposed to take 15 game days before anyone asks again. If you turn someone's request down to move, it's 5 days until the next ask. The asker is "random", but your relationship does factor in, which is why it's harder to get rid of the old timers. Also, Saturday (or KK Day) nobody is supposed to ask to leave. When I TT, I stick to M-F and 11:30am+ so everyone is awake and out. If somebody isn't doing their hard thinking face, I jump to the next day. If someone I don't want is doing the face, I skip to the next day (no save). Sometimes the thinking face is "hey, come visit" or "say sorry to XXX", but I don't waste time checking. It works well for me! Then when someone asks, I just set my time back to today. If I plan to hunt, I'll jump to the next day or whatever, easy peasy. Good luck!!!

OMG! Sprockette finally gifted me his photo! It was really annoying that he was holding out. I invited Chrissy the other day. I only went on one trip; I was just too tired to keep looking. Her eyes weird me out. She's going to be another regretful invite.
I'm slowly changing things around on my island. I took down several areas and I'm trying to come up with good ideas to replace them with. My sports bar is gone; I miss it but sports teams are too irritating at the moment. I still have my front room in a winter theme! It's impossible to work on it when the villagers want to barge in all the time.

So I have been playing for about 2 months now. I am not online yet so I can't visit. I am still paying off the second room of my house, other houses have been built, etc. Seems like a slow process. Do things move faster if I go online?
Question - what do I do with the excess cherry blossoms and easter eggs? Sell? And what do you all do with the weeds, logs, wood, etc. you collect? I have a pile near my crafting table and I sell off some of them. Do I need to keep any or just sell them all? My area looks so messy with everything on the ground. LOL!

Do things move faster if I go online? Things will only move faster in the fact that you'll have access to our wide array of items, if that's a hold up for you. We can help you with bells, items, fruit, flowers, DIYs, etc. LOL! Store those things for now in your house, you'll need them to craft items. The eggs are good for eating if you want to move trees without chopping them down. If you don't think you'll use the cherry blossoms to craft anything, certainly feel free to sell.

Oh, one more question, is it better to concentrate on building my own house or putting the bells towards infrastructure instead?

Oh, one more question, is it better to concentrate on building my own house or putting the bells towards infrastructure instead? You get more storage with your house being done, but no rush to pay off final.loan. I assume you have terra forming? When you are online we can bring bells to help your financial situation!

Thank you Skellinton! I’ll probably go online next month. I just wanted to get my island started before joining!

Oh, one more question, is it better to concentrate on building my own house or putting the bells towards infrastructure instead? I think that's up to you. You can get extra storage in your house when you upgrade it. If you get online and order a bridge or incline, visitors to your island can contribute. So I guess it's better to get online work on your own house and let us fund you infrstructure.

Why is there a timer in the cabinet at nook’s?

I still have my front room in a winter theme! It's impossible to work on it when the villagers want to barge in all the time. I know! I wish we could lock the door behind us and just not answer. lol Do things move faster if I go online? Yes, things will definitely move faster when you go online because you'll have all of us to visit you and bring bells with us. You'll have to decide how much you absolutely want to do on your own and how much you're willing to have other people help. For example, when you start building up your museum people could give you art work and dinosaur bones and it will get done quickly. Or, maybe you'd rather do it yourself... That was how I felt with the museum, I didn't want help from anyone. But for just random items -- like if I need a blue couch or something -- I don't mind asking because there will always be someone who has it and I'm not trying to collect all the couches for something like the museum.

Why is there a timer in the cabinet at nook’s? To play games with people who visit because it will show them the time as well, similar to the Fishing Tournament or Bug Tournament timer. Or just set out as decoration.

I restarted my island and finally got all 10 horse villagers I wanted. I'm taking my time not decorating yet as I'm trying to get furniture without doing the treasure island thing. So far I've paid off my home loans thanks to bugs, fish and crops. Shaking trees every day has gotten me some interesting items as well

I went to Harv's island today to see the wares this week. Sahara is offering a graveyard wall. I never saw it before and wondered if anyone else has not seen it? I'll buy one for you if you want one. I already bought two extras. You can't buy it from your catalog.

I thought I had every wall already so that was fun and exciting to get something new to me. Man, I miss the days when it was still fun to chase down new things like that. I'm SOOOOOO wishing we had more content evolving all the time like Pocket Camp!

I have been trying to dwarf coconut trees and I'm not successful. I had a dwarf then planted another coconut right behind it but the tree kept growing. Anyone have any ideas? I was also thinking of growing dwarf bamboo too. Has anyone done it?
