Right now, we could probably go 2 months if needed without buying anything, but it would be super boring eating and we would run of vegetable before anything else as those are getting low.
This morning my husband and I decided to do a 6 month low spend challenge to get a few bills paid off so I'm going to try to use as much of our pantry and freezers up as I can.
After Oct 1st I will start my winter stock up and will get enough pantry items / paper products etc to last through the winter as I hate shopping when the weather is bad. We have a few large shelfs in our basement for food storage and an extra fridge down there as well.
We do live within a couple miles of 2 Wegmans, Target, Aldi's Tops etc so I don't worry to much about getting needed items right now.

I have enough dry staples for 2 months. I have enough in the fridge for a week. I have 3 pounds of butter, 2 frozen dinners, and ice in the freezer. Need to work on that freezer. I really struggle with eating protein. I just don’t like it.
Covid forced me to plan out an emergency month of meals. I even followed my plan for a month to make sure it was feasible. I’m an emergency vaccinator for my state, so I also keep a box with 3 days of food & water with my go bag. Per state instructions.

I probably have 2-3 months worth of stuff currently. I just added shelving to the walk in closet in our guest room and keep my overflow shelf stable items in there. I try to keep a stock of things I know we will eventually eat through anyway and that will make a wide variety of meals. I stock up on extra spices, salad dressing and condiments because those things can be added to a lot of meals to make them more flavorful/different. We have a large stand up freezer in the garage with meat, some meals and frozen fruits/veggies. We prefer fresh but if things were dire we would eat frozen of course.

No basement, no extra freezer, and while I do have a pantry, it's just a closet with some shelves so nothing special. (Like, about the size of a small hallway coat closet, not anything you can walk into or anything large.) Oh, and two teens, lol. So getting creative, I could probably feed us for about 2 weeks but no one would be very happy with what we ate after the first 5-7 days. When I stockpiled during Covid, we had several large boxes set up in our master bedroom with a box per food group/type or 2 - like pasta and sauce, or veggies and beans, or soups/ravioli/quick meals. I learned from that what foods we really were not going to eat except in an emergency, donated those things to the food pantry, used the stuff we do eat, and keep going in the rotation.

We could probably eat for 4-6 weeks with what we currently have. If it came down to it, within a month we will have baby rabbits that could be fed out and butchered. The rabbits are my oldest’s 4H/FFA project and we could breed more frequently than the current plan. Longer term we just bought two pigs. One my other daughter will sell for 4H and we will butcher the other.
