I saw Victoria Marie's announcement on fb that she'll have merch available soon. Stuff like t shirts, aprons, mugs, and stickers. I can't say that any of my hobby dollars would go towards that. I'd much rather buy scrapbook supplies. Lots of her followers posted positive comments, though. How about you?

nope - I don't see that being a wishlist item for me. But I don't particularly follow any crafty people and am not sure who Victoria Marie is

No, I wouldn’t personally, but that’s a huge thing in YouTube/IG land in general so I guess it makes sense.

I saw that on FB too. That's not my thing at all (I don't buy souvenirs either) but more power to her and others who are able to expand their income flow.

Yes and no.
I really do like the idea of mugs, pins and pouches with sentiments on that are relevant to us. Items I can use whilst I’m crafting or to decorate my space. I like the feeling of being part of something.
I wouldn’t wear a tshirt or carry around a tote though. I’m not interested in anything that would draw attention to me.

Probably not, well, definitely not clothing and it depends what was on it. If it's the person's name, then no, because that would be weird... No one I know in real life scrapbooks and would have no idea who that was.
Maybe a bookmark or something small and cheap. I bought a bookmark for a Booktube event I participated in but it's an annual event and part of the money went to a charity...

Nope. I am not fangirl enough to buy merch. There must be clientele for the merch though as many of the scrappy influencers have ventured into clothing and such.

Nope. Not happening for me. I only have one brand I allow myself to buy the occasional merch from and that's Disney. I'm not going to start paying to be a scrapbooker's free walking advertisement. Also, so much of this influencer merch crap ends in the landfill in a matter of just a couple of years.

No. Gosh no. These YT/IG peeps need to stop with the merch. Nothing new or awe inspiring. Same stuff, just different name or logo or photo.
And most of the time these peeps just do it for another money grab and don't care about their product and pick cheap stuff.

I’ve bought one of Heba’s/My Little Journal’s sweatshirts. It just says I’m a Crafter on it. I wear it to crop. I bought it because it was cute and at the time didn’t really connect that it was her merch as it’s really just a crafty sweatshirt, not a MLJ sweatshirt.

Nope. I agree with others who said it's just a money grab for a lot of these people. I do have a t shirt from 2 scrapbook stores that I support. I don't mind wearing those, and also supporting them with that additional purchase.

My old LSS (now gone) had a tshirt that said, "Crops aren't just for farmers" and I thought it was so funny I bought one and wore it to crops. It got so ratty I finally threw it away. I should make up another one on one of those tshirt sites.

This is a good point, it’s like I’ve beetlejuiced it (not really 😂 just noticing now) other crafters with their merch, and some of it is cute and generic. I might be tempted just because I wear t shirts and jeggings for work. But so hard to know quality. And would only buy if I genuinely knew I’d wear it.

I went to a Creative Memories retreat/crop in 2008 and a huge storm blew in. We were in the mountains, trees down, lost power. No power meant limited cooking. No power meant no water for flushing or showers. No power meant no light to scrap by, so we used lanterns, headlamps and flashlights (which were thankfully on the list of recommended stuff to bring). Trees came down and the road was closed, so we were stuck. Etc, etc, etc. Sounds horrible right? But we still had a really fun time and laugh about it.
Anyway, I did buy the "I survived the CM crop of 2008" t-shirt.
Other than that, No and don't plan to.

If it was meant for scrapbooking, I liked it, and knew it would be used.

I don’t know that I would buy something that says her name all over it but if it’s generic to crafting and I would use it I might. Most of what she is selling I already own (apron, totes, pouches) I love and regularly use the apron, pouches, and bags I have designed by Dina Wakely & Dyan Reaveley. I would probably buy a sticker or two tho. I put stickers on everything lol.
The retreat I attend several times per year sells T-shirts and sweatpants. I have a few and only wear them to the retreats. She hosts retreats so why not. It’s kind of like being in a club. Any merch that I have that is crafting related is primarily for my space to decorate, organize supplies or to wear & haul stuff to retreats (totes, pouches, etc). If she can sell it good for her.

I would maybe get a mug with Shimelle's name/Glitter Girl on it, I adore her amd she is the one who got me over my fear of using my patterned paper. ❤️ I will always have a soft spot for her, plus I just love her teaching style. Would I purchase merch for other crafting celebrities? Probably not.

Probably not, but I won't say never because if there was a scrapbooker or crafter I really liked and wanted to support them and they offered some cute merch, I might buy it. However other people choose to spend their money is their business, so whatever floats their boat.

I purchased the Share Handmade Kindness t-shirt which I consider celeb merch. I like the saying & what it represents and I like the font used. It doesn't have Jennifer McGuires name on it but I consider it celeb merch.

I bought the stamp addict sweatshirt she sold a couple of years ago and wear it when I'm crafting. Since it doesn't have her "brand" on it it doesn't bother me to wear it. My old LSS (now gone) had a tshirt that said, "Crops aren't just for farmers" and I thought it was so funny I bought one and wore it to crops. I totally would have bought this shirt, it's hilarious! I might buy a sticker and maybe something that can be used in my scrapping but if it has the brand all over it I won't buy it.

It depends on what the items look like. I've purchased a few things from Inkie Quill, they don't have her name on it, they're just crafting related and I like them. I've purchased two pouches and a shirt from her, the shirt I've worn to craft meetups (mostly virtual ones, thanks to Covid.)
