Eat a breakfast even if you're not hungry because it makes you eat less throughout the day. Find what works for you. I know if I eat breakfast, that just gives me permission to start eating, and then I eat too much. I don't eat breakfast because it causes me to be too hungry for the rest of the day. If I just wait until noon to eat my first meal, I'm fine. You have to figure out what works for you. I cut out breakfast about 3 years ago because I started IF. I now enjoy not eating breakfast and it's easy for me to do. I however, did not lose ANY weight because of IF. That sux, but I do think there are some great benefits to my body by doing it, so I continue. I eat from noon til about 7, then don't eat again until the next day. I'm reading this thread to get also get a jump start on some weight loss. I'm 53 and just can not manage to get any pounds to come off. So frustrating!

Wow! That quote date is interesting! We have gone back in time. I have to eat breakfast. I would be sick. On the days I do my functional training classes at the gym (5:00 a.m. class), I am extra hungry, especially today. Today is build and we lift. I try to up my weights every round to push myself. My biggest problem is weekends. I like to drink. I am trying to cut down, but I have been unable to give up wine completely. I also have to quit sugar. Stupid candy and I am back to sugar cravings. Like others, I love my fruits and vegetables. That helps.

As a person who is very against the multi-billion dollar diet industry I would highly recommend that you find a nutritionist who can work w/you to help you tailor your feeds to meet your needs and also incorporate the foods you enjoy. There isn't a one size fits all(no pun intended), but a good nutritionist will work w/you and design a meal plan that is filling, healthy and allows you to eat your faves in moderation.
The metabolism comes to a screeching halt at our age. UGH!
