Gets disgusting... Oz pledged to give up dual citizenship if he were elected.. now not?!?!

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mehmet Oz said today that he would forego certain security clearances that are provided to all U.S. Senators to keep his dual citizenship with Turkey.

Oz was speaking to a group of reporters about the role David McCormick and his former hedge fund – Bridgewater Associates – played in the management of the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS).

INTERESTING that members of Congress don't need security clearance to view CLASSIFIED materials?!?!

I can’t believe you can be a congressman with dual citizenship that just seems odd. You should be loyal to only one country. I don’t have issues for dual citizenship in general but if a member of congress I don’t think that should be allowed. To me it just opens you up questions later.

Yeah, he went to the T-rump school of getting elected; i.e., say anything, since people won't remember after you win or hold you to it. The craven approach of getting elected just on name recognition shows its ugly face again.

I think members of Congress and especially the President should need to get security clearances. If there's something in their background that wouldn't pass muster for this, they shouldn't hold these privileged positions.

Maybe it's true, that cops don't have to try to save others ... There is a video. It shows him going into the water. Shows him swimming away. I did hear boat mentioned. The video stops...

New footage released shows Arizona cops refusing to save a drowning man

The videos and transcripts have been released showing the last few moments of Sean Bickings' life as he struggled to stay afloat.

Bickings tried to run away and jump into the lake nearby. It was then unable to get out of the water, drowning. Local firefighters then pulled him out after he was dead.

Police said that Bickings was identified as an "unsheltered Tempe community member." Both told police that there were no problems and neither were going to be detained for an office.

The police then claimed that another officer was getting a boat.

"The three Tempe police officers who responded to the call and witnessed the drowning have been placed on non-disciplinary paid administrative leave pending the investigations, as is customary in critical incidents," the statement also said.

Carlson introduced Navarro as a victim of the Democratic Party's "massive escalation" in the use of the judicial system for partisan revenge. In fact, any person who refuses to comply with a grand jury subpoena can be arrested for refusing to do so.

Carlson's assessment led many online to remark that if Navarro didn't want to get arrested he should have simply spoken to investigators. He's constitutionally allowed to plead his Fifth Amendment rights and refuse to answer, but he does have to comply with a subpoena.

The Fox host claimed Navarro's arrest was really all about promoting the Thursday hearing.

The founder of a Christian sect to which Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett belongs was described in court documents as exerting total control over the group's women and girls.

A sworn affidavit filed by a former member in the 1990s described a sexualized atmosphere in the home of People of Praise founder Kevin Ranaghan and his wife Dorothy Ranaghan -- where Barrett stayed while attending law school at Notre Dame -- and alleges instances of abuse and inappropriate sexual behavior, reported The Guardian.

Barrett, 50, lived in the Ranaghans' nine-bedroom home in South Bend, Indiana, while she attended law school and two years after graduating in 1997 married her husband Jesse Barrett, who also appears to have lived in the family's household, although there's no indication she lived there at the time the Carnick children were visiting or witnessed any of the behavior described in the affidavit.
