Because the sea turtles and eagles are endangered species! Humans are not. We humans have destroyed the habitats of many species.

Scrapper100Sadly, T-rump doesn't joke. He's said so himself. I've never seen any sign of wit or humor from him, ever. edition.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/2007/13/acd.01.htmlAnd, he reacted with irritation when Obama joked about his "birtherism" platform. I believe this was the moment T-rump decided he wanted to become President. Being able to take a joke is a sign of confidence and maturity. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHckZCxdRkAHow sad, that somebody just being thin-skinned diminished our country in so many ways.

Seriously I agree my head hurts from these old white geezers that just don’t have a clue. Especially when they say even in the case of the mother will die if nothing is done. It’s not just an inconvenience to them or their families. Unless it happens to them they just aren’t going to understand it’s more than just abortion. It’s not like any woman sets out to have one. They don’t get pregnant on purpose to have one. Reading through all the stories just on this board this board knowing so many have had them and the stories that went along with them snd why they had them and how it improved their futures. I know I’m not saying this right but glad it was an option. I know sone that had them and it weighed greatly on them but they just knew it was better in the long run. Every situation is a bit different but valid none the less. It certainly isn’t someone else place to judge especially some old politician.

Remember the pastor school principal who taped the kids mouths shut.. he has one better now. This time the school has suspended him.. Another good christian. According to a report from NOLA.com, a Louisiana Republican official who also serves as a pastor has stepped down from his position as a headmaster at a Christian school after being arrested for a second time for physically abusing a 4-year-old child.Just one month ago, Pastor John Raymond was arrested for allegedly taping kids' mouths shut at the Christian school he runs in Slidell, a city in the St. Tammany Parish. At the time he defended his actions, telling reporters he gave the five children a choice of having their mouths closed with packing tape or face school suspensions because they were bullying a teacher. *** Now Raymond has been accused of cruelty to another juvenile at the Lakeside Christian Academy he founded. The new report states, "several witnesses, including former teachers, faculty and parents, came forward to report additional incidents, some going back as far as 2017," with NOLA.com's Sara Pagones reporting that "in another incident, Raymond allegedly held the boy upside down by his ankles and repeatedly 'whipped him on the buttocks.'" www.rawstory.com/john-raymond-children/

Cry me a river gen mike Flynn.... Blaming the Biden defense dept . Mike Flynn believes he's being 'persecuted' because he’s getting fined by the US Army for being on Russia’s payrollBob Brigham May 10, 2022 Former Donald Trump National Security Advisor Michael Flynn on Tuesday complained about the United States Army concluding he violated the Constitution by accepting payment from the Russian government. "The Army has determined that in December 2015 you failed to obtain the necessary approval in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 600-29 before accepting compensation from an entity substantially owned or controlled by a foreign government in violation of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution. Specifically, the Emoluments Clause prohibits the receipt of such compensation unless Congress consents," the Army wrote to Flynn. *** The Army is seeking to recoup $38,557.06 from Flynn. www.rawstory.com/mike-flynn-2657297298/

Updated story!! Seminole County high school will not cover 'don't say gay' protest pictures in the year book. Florida School Board reverses decision to censor ‘don’t say gay’ protest yearbook photosOrlando Sentinel May 11, 2022 The Seminole County School Board scrapped a plan Tuesday to put stickers over yearbook photos of students protesting against Florida’s so-called “don’t say gay” bill, responding to a public backlash against the move. The school board voted 5-0 not to obscure the photos and captions of a walkout protest featured in Lyman High School’s yearbook. Instead, a sticker will be placed on the page that explains the protest was student-led and not sponsored by the school. Amy Pennock, the school board chair, and other board members said they would purchase the new stickers that wouldn’t cover the yearbook pictures... nordot.app/896944070993756160Original story: nordot.app/896520998786482176

These Republicans are just weird!!! Weird, I say!! On Wednesday, The New Orleans Advocate reported that a Louisiana GOP state representative made a bizarre comment about his daughters during a debate about a new abortion law.The law in question would force abortion providers to allow cell phone use inside clinics — a measure that critics worry could be exploited by anti-abortion groups to spam the phones of pregnant patients in waiting rooms. It wasn’t lost on the Health and Welfare committee that only two of its 18 members are women, Rep. Laurie Schlegel, a Metairie Republican, and Rep. Pat Moore, a Monroe Democrat. Only Schlegel was present for the vote, and she and the other members of the committee joked about her being the 'resident woman,'" said the report. "Rep. Larry Bagley, a Stonewall Republican, said, 'As a predominately male group, it's hard for us to understand what a woman goes through for an abortion.' Bagley preceded to imagine a hypothetical in which his daughters would want to call him if they ever were to get an abortion.""They're in their 40s, and they'll get in my lap now if they’re upset," said Bagley.www.rawstory.com/larry-bagley/

FINALLY.... Crystal Mason may have justice... On Wednesday, The New York Times reported that a top Texas court has ordered a re-examination of a controversial election fraud case that sentenced a Black woman to five years in prison for improperly casting a provisional ballot. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals found that a lower appeals court had incorrectly upheld parts of the conviction of the woman, Crystal Mason, who had voted in the general election in 2016, when she was a felon on probation, and filled out a provisional ballot that was never officially counted or tallied," reported Eduardo Medina. "Ms. Mason has insisted that at the time, she did not know she was ineligible to vote and had been advised by a poll worker to submit her provisional ballot.""The Second Court of Appeals in Tarrant County had said in 2020 that Ms. Mason’s unawareness 'was irrelevant to her prosecution.' But the Court of Criminal Appeals disagreed, opening a channel for the conviction to be overturned," said the report. "'This is great news for Ms. Mason, but the fight is not over,' Tommy Buser-Clancy, a senior staff attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas who is representing Ms. Mason, said by phone on Wednesday." The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals is the highest court in the state for reviewing criminal cases; Texas has an unusual two-tracked system where criminal cases go to this court and civil cases go to the state Supreme Court. Mason's sentence was first handed down in 2018 and has become a rallying cry for activists highlighting the injustice of Texas' voting laws. www.rawstory.com/crystal-mason/
