Happy May Peas! I just want to take this time to wish everyone a Happy Mother's! To everyone who is a mother to a child, fur baby or to a husband. 😉 Here us the video with the free download youtu.be/ldQ9lcxpJCMAnd the process video youtu.be/ADwtxKw4ZkcFor extra 10 points use something you had for a long time in your stash. I used a card kit from Spellbinders. Point counting 6x10=60+10=70 And don't forget that if you are on a team and create the SheetLoads in April, May and June , you can collect an additional 50 points. Tagging grammadee.

Here is my first set, we send out about 15 mother's day cards to our friends and family members. So I made 3 sets for Mother's day and 1 extra for the birthday club. Used old Spellbinders card kits, love how they have everything in a box all coordinates. http://instagram.com/p/CdDy_qZLxJW

azcrafty, your cards a beautiful again this month! I love the die cuts you have used on each one. The gold embossed sentiment is perfect with your other little touches of gold. Fabulous job again this month! I am working on mine. I think I didn't choose the best papers. They won't be my favorites. Maybe I can find a fun embellishment or die cut that will class them up. LOL. I'll post them when I finish.

Thank you nylene. I kept it simple because I needed to make lots of cards in the last few days,55 cards. So no extra layers this time. I did make 4 different sets with this sketch. 3 for mothers day and 1 for crafty birthdays...it should arrive in your mailbox soon 😊. I struggled with the paper too , this time. I really wanted to use up some Spellbinders card kits and that limited me, but I'm happy with the end result. I think the small sizes of the paper pieces limited the pp options. This would be excellent to use all the small leftover papers in my box.

azcrafty, I love the 2nd set from this month's design. I love the small design on your patterned paper. I think that's where I went wrong. I think one of my patterns is too large for the size of the piece and card. I should have searched for 6x6 pieces in my box of pads, but I had some scraps I wanted to use up. The butterflies on these cards are gorgeous.

I made some quick cards using very old paper someone gave me. They're not my favorites but I was able to make them quickly and use up some paper and they're pretty cheerful. I have a dozen more kitted up with a different paper combo too. http://instagram.com/p/CdLqf8UrFRC

BTW if you use 12x12 cardstock or paper for the CS1 matting layer you can get 6 pieces out of 1 sheet

Awesome cards joblackford. I told you on IG that I love this color combo, pinks and greens 😍. Great tip about the 12x12 matting. nylene I'm looking forward to see your cards...just an idea. You can always use a vellum piece under your focal point to cover most of the pp. I do that a lot when I feel like the pp is to busy or to loud.

This set reminds me a lot of last month's set. I did end up switching the placement of the middle pieces. I have got to try and keep my eyes out for pre-made embellishments. The putting together of the card base goes super quickly with the sheetloads, but man, making the embellishments takes forever! The larger flowers are pre-made from Graphic 45. The leaves and white flowers are from a (million piece) die set that was sent to me by mistake by AliExpress. After cutting, organizing/sorting, making the leaves and white flower stems, I've decided that die sets like this are far too fussy for my taste! I was going to do some shading with ink, but was so DONE that i skipped it.

Gorgeous card set MichyM . Love the colors and all the textures. Can you tell me about that ali express die set. I love different leaves and piece to round out my bouquets. I can't really. It was not what I ordered, and I have no idea what set it is. It has one large flower (I haven't cut it yet but it looks like a peony or a rose), the stem of leaves, and the stem with the white flowers. Each piece has at least 3 layers (I only used two). The entire set must have more than 50 pieces, some of which are really teeny tiny. There are no instructions on how to put them together, and since I have no idea what set they are, I have to guess how they go together. I figured I should at least use them once before sending them to the back of my bin of diecuts If I decide to get rid of them, I'll keep you in mind!

Cool set joblackford . I love those tiny envelopes. Are those HA ? Yes, from the mailbox fancy die set One of my favorite dies. It was a good way to use up the gold scraps. I realized when I pulled it out that this sheetload design would work well with the big mailbox too, so I’m going to try that out next.

Making complicated die cut embellishments is not really my cup of tea, especially not if they have small pieces. But I know some people batch that kind of thing, die cutting all the shapes, then putting them together while watching TV, making the cards in a separate session. I have lots of Converse high tops waiting for minuscule eyelets to be added... I think each one takes 10+ minutes just to glue together. And then when I sit down to put them on cards they'll all be gone in 5 minutes.

joblackford, your cards are beautiful. I recognize that pink paper from long ago. I love seeing some of those old papers used in new way. You know I always love your HELLOs whether they are backed with a strip or backed by a shadow. You have a great way of putting patterns together. I love the richness that the gold gives your second set. Those gold envelopes are gorgeous. What wonderful dies! MichyM, I love the the papers you used on your cards. Those flowers and butterflies are so pretty. They look thick, did you layer several together to make them thicker? Simply beautiful cards. The little clear dew drops are a great touch. I need to remember that. azcrafty, first I have to thank you for that wonderful crafty card that arrived in my mailbox. It is perfect for a scrapper. Now you need to post it here for everyone to see. Thank you so much. I also love your 2nd set of cards with the butterflies. You do such a great job interpreting the sketch and making it your own. The Mother's Day card posted above is gorgeous! I love the use of the vellum and the rich gold. Thank you for hosting this challenge each month! I tried using a piece of vellum between my snail and the background, but decided it needed an opaque something. These aren't my favorite cards, but they are growing on me. LOL May 2022 Sheetload Cards

The little clear dew drops are a great touch. I need to remember that. Thank you nylene. I love the little snail die cuts on your cards. I've got to start collecting "cuter" dies. I can see snails being used for lots of different messages! I'm planning of gifting several sets of the coordinating papers here on Peas, as there are 6 of each of the 6 different patterns in the pad I purchased. Could I send you one set of the 6 of them please? The paper is so pretty, but I'm going to get tired of it before I use it all up! And yes, I do layer die cuts. For the main sentiment I usually use 3-4 layers. For other elements, I just do 1 or 3 layers, but I also use 1.5-2mm foam tap to pop things up as well. I really prefer the look, and take the extra time even on cards for donation.

MichyM, I would love to receive a set of those papers. They are so beautiful! And thank you for the info on your die cuts. Those flowers dies are gorgeous. I think I will try layering with mine on the next set. BTW, my little snail is from a cut file rather than a die. He would have been better a little thicker so he stood out. That would have been easy to do. On my last layout I used several layers for my title since it was the same color as the background and I really liked the results.

It's the Birch Press Design big hello sugar script die. I think I got it at SSS. It's a great size and really useful. They have other words too - hugs, thanks, love, etc. And of course you're welcome to jump in!
