I too want to hear the details about the house. Single story or two-story? Large yard or small yard? Close to town or in the outskirts? I will be doing this within the next few months so I'm interested to learn what others are doing. medium yard House is bigger than I wanted but the smaller house market is bizarre crazy here so this is what I have. I lost a perfect size house that was much smaller that only went for 20,000 less than this. It 1.5 story 4 br in town but not walkable. The upstairs can be separated off when I’m not using it ( which is good ) There’s a mystery plumbing leak that had to be taken care of first but since I had to give 90 days notice it should be fine. It’ll need a new roof soon but not right away.

I have seen a few houses on zillow in the town that I am considering that have the master downstairs and remaining bedrooms upstairs. I would prefer all one floor, but I could shut down that upstairs and just live on the main floor until I had guests to get ready for. I just don't want to have to go up and down the stairs multiple times a day like I do in my current house. There is no master on the main in my current house, which was fine 35 years ago. Today's body requires a single level. And the reason my house isn't on the market right now is due to a plumbing leak. It was a slow leak in the bathroom wall behind the mirror and I didn't notice it for quite a while. It developed mold on the wall opposite the bathroom, which is the garage-access laundry area, but it was filled to the brim with already-packed moving boxes and I didn't notice any wetness until the boxes started to lean due to the bottom boxes becoming wet and crumbling under the weight of the ones stacked on top of them. I have to get a mold mitigation crew in and my realtor is recommending we switch out all the copper plumbing or at least give a credit to the new owners. Apparently there is a known issue in my area. Several years ago, they changed something about how our water is treated and it now is causing multiple pinhole leaks in the copper piping. By law, I have to notify the new buyers or mitigate the pipe issue myself. That's around $10,000 that I don't have to spare right now so credit on the sale it will be. I just want this place sold before another leak shows up. Make sure they addressed any mold in your new place! It is going to be an expensive remediation here.

Congratulations! I hope the new house feels like home. It always takes me a while to adjust and settle into a new house, so I'm wishing for you that it doesn't take too long for you to feel comfortable and secure in your new space.

Congrats! I’m glad you were able to find a house! Enjoy getting it all fixed up for you! I found 20+ houses that I’d have bought, but I wasn’t allowed to buy most of them lol. It’s a brutal market here. The sellers realtor asked me if I was flipping it. I’m no! Where would I live. It took 6 months & many many offers to get here. I’m not flipping it.

Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you!!!!! I really miss having a beautiful home that was mine. For some reason the memories there held much more meaning than being in any rental home. May you enjoy years of special memories and love the home you bought!
