Ugh. When are they going to take out your gallbladder, christine58 ? Gallbladders are unnecessary, but when they need to come out they wreak havoc.

I am making M&M cabbage rolls for dinner. Not on the diet but I ate well the feast of the day. We won’t eat for a couple more hours. I might make some asparagus and serve some pickled beets.

I feel like I've been out of the loop lately. I don't seem to get on Peas until later in the evening, if at all, and by then it feels too late to post on this thread.
So, please know that I am reading your posts and thinking of you all even if I don't post.
DH and I went for a bike ride today. We rode 32 km on our electric bikes. It was a beautiful day for a ride.
Supper tonight was burgers.

I live in the land of microclimates. I know there is a famous quote attributed to Mark Twain (although apparently he never said it): "the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." I remember driving across the bay on a gorgeous hot August day with beautiful blue skies, looking across at the city completing fogged in and knowing it was probably 30º cooler there. My job has not had any full time openings to transfer. I'm sorry it hasn't happened yet, but knowing you will be able to move quickly when an opening is there is good. I'm so sorry. IIRC, you do have surgery scheduled. Will they wait or push it up? Darcy Collins , I am so happy for you. I know the medical stuff isn't over, but what great news to get. Looking forward to hearing about Ireland, especially the food, cadoodlebug . I've been offline for almost a week because my MacBook battery needed to be replaced and feel like a cross between a happy momma to have my baby back and a kid in a candy store not knowing what to check first. I have been reading on my phone but my vision challenges still make it a pain to do any typing/replying. We are experiencing our May gray with a cooling marine layer sticking around most of the day as well as onshore winds, so I made a lasagne for dinner. ETA Forgot to answer the question. I love going to music in the park/at the beach this time of year. We have one in a neighborhood park that is fun and walkable so don't have to deal with parking.

Darcy Collins, doing a happy dance for you. Whew! I hope they get to the root cause, quickly and fix things.

Hey all. Didn’t anyone miss me? Been in the hospital since last Thursday with pancreatitis again. Worse than a year ago. I’ll write a longer post tomorrow. Just send prayers I didn’t want to like this. I hope your pain is being controlled while you wait on a gallbladder fix.

christine58. Yuck! I know how awful that can be. Why are they not removing the gallbladder? Because everything is so inflamed I habe to wait for things to calm down. I do have an appointment for the first Friday of June.
