I'm underwhelmed with this season of RHoBH. I don't think Sutton really said anything that bad or they would have aired it on the show. Crystal is a shit-stirrer who drops a bomb and leaves.
As far as Dubai, i'm also underwhelmed by that so far as well. I liked Carolyn Stanbury in Ladies of London and the only interesting storyline is her hatred of Chanel Ayan. I'm sure there's a good backstory there that hopefully they'll uncover.

yes I'm underwhelmed by Dubai as well. I started watching just to check out Dubai - but these women are not that interesting, I'm having a tough time telling a few of them apart & can't really remember who is who. Chanel Ayan is the most interesting of the group and even she is annoying - and hard to understand.
I think Kyle has Crystal's number this season. She is shady AF and I hate her little "truth bombs" that don't really say much of anything but stir up all kinds of shit. I'm not a Sutton fan at all, but I don't think she did anything nearly as bad as what Crystal is making it seem. Crystal is all about the sympathy. She was probably told by producers she needed to keep it interesting for tv and this is all she knows how to do. And if 14 friends are dropping from her life, there's definitely a story there. One or two ok maybe give her the benefit of the doubt - but 14?!
I will be shocked if Diana is there more than one season. She doesn't seem to enjoy the drama at all, which is the whole purpose of the show.
I'm curious to hear the dirt about Denise next week. And when will we see Sheree? (will smith's ex)

I have nothing further to add other than apparently we're going to be forced to walk along this healing path with Dorit for the entire rest of the season. 🙄 But what I want to know is, who is watching Dubai? I've only seen two episodes and so far I'm disappointed. They're not that interesting and they live in regular houses rather than the mansions or spectacular skyrises I was expecting. There is a very lanky model who needs subtitles, a blonde mutton dressed as lamb showing us her new toy Sergio (forced by her or Bravo or both to make his on-camera debut in just a towel), someone with a bad wig, someone else, some American who is unsuccessfully trying to get her kids to eat on the floor, some dull parties. Footage of camels. So much camel footage. Even boring footage of grocery shopping. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU HOOK ME IN, BRAVO. I hope things heat up soon. Yep, if it is Housewives, I am giving it a watch. I am underimpressed. And already over the SUPERmodel Ayan. She is gorgeous and I want to learn the phrases of "I am a b*&ch" in the languages but she and her outfits are a lot of work. I also thinks she looks remarkably like David Bowie's wife Iman. The blonde mutton is Caroline Stanbury from RH of London. They had a short lived 1 or 2 seasons. The others at this moment are forgettable to me. I did mention to DH the first or maybe second episode that I was disappointed with this showing. They are in Dubai for goodness sake!! Where are all the riches that we hear of for that part of the world?!? I want to see diamonds dripping, cars, extravagant homes! I do remember something being said in one of the early episodes about it being hard to find homes. Can't remember exactly what was mentioned. I did find it interesting in the one grocery store run I saw that the pork was in a completely different section. Something I don't think about. |

One day in May I had read all the interesting threads on page one and still had time to kill so I wandered into this one. I have never watched a single episode of any RH show, and probably never will, but I thoroughly enjoy this thread for some reason.
Zee, your synopses are written gold and I love what everyone else adds. I’m sure it’s not the same, but reading this thread is now my guilty pleasure!

Yeah - i don't think she said anything bad on the show. I think her recollection of the event is what is not jiving with her daughter's friend's story. Regardless, Crystal had no reason to bring that up yet again other than to create a storyline (a stupid one at that). She wears me out. |

Finally got to see the first episode of RHODubai. Sooooooooooooooooo not impressed.
I felt like I was watching an extended HW trip to Dubai. I know we have a pea or two that have lived in Dubai. I have been a couple of times. Also, being a resident and traveled in the Middle East, I was really hoping it would show some of the funnier, interesting sides of Middle Eastern culture.
So not impressed on multiple aspects.
Bring back Lisa Vanderpump please!

I DID feel badly for Dorit re: the break-in, but had so many questions. There's no alarm if a door gets opened or a glass door is broken?? I could understand her excuse for not setting the inside alarm (because her kids wake up a lot and wander downstairs--maybe now she'll know that's not such a great idea!). It seemed like there was absolutely no security there. One more thing about Dorit's break-in. She kept saying that the thieves assumed no one was home. WHY?? Were they following PK's schedule? Also, to take $1,000,000 of her items, they needed to fill an entire comforter?? Seems like we're always hearing that 1 piece of jewelry is worth a few million, or 1 of her bags is worth nearly 1 million. Just seemed excessive to take that much stuff. Dorit and her PK refer to each other as "Bubba". Dorit does it with her children too. I've despised these 2 but PK's humor grew on me last season. I was hoping that Erika wouldn't come back. I'm sick of her tough-girl-mafia schtick, and seeing her spend even $1 reminds me of everything her husband did and I'm SURE she was a part of it. In one documentary she was seen saying that she's the "First Lady" of a few of her husband's companies. (Nothing was "dismissed" as far as her lawsuits. I thought that they were just being transferred to another court??) I thought that Garcelle would be gone this season. She's too boring. So, the show does drag and it's obvious that they have an outlined screenplay to touch on. Too predictable, but I still watch. As far as Teresa on NJ, ITA with momto4kiddos . Teresa irks me to no end. She isn't the hottest thing that her "mirror mirror" would find. C'mon. She's whacked. NO idea how her kids seemed to turn out okay. I still don't like or trust her "fiance". She isn't "all for family". The break-in created some questions for me too. The video of the guys walking up seems off somehow. They bypassed doors and went right to a specific door without looking into any of the other doors. They were walking up to the situation like it was an extremely familiar place to them... and with all of the screaming that supposedly was going on, none of the kids woke up and wandered out into the situation? |

Glad I'm not the only one. Seemed too weird that the "robbers" would give Dorit her phone back at her gate. C'mon--they'd take it, break it, use it for future threats, etc. Doesn't add up. And I agree about her kids. I know that her bedroom probably isn't that close to her childrens' bedrooms, but still, she said they'd routinely come into her room. PLUS, leaving them to go out just a day after this trauma seems very "off" to me. Hope I'm wrong. This would rank up there with Brooks/Vicki and the cancer scheme.
I've been seeing RHOBH trending on Twitter for days. Someone's working overtime in getting any RH series talked about. It's all about racism (Rinna), and "mean girls". Kyle is on the most-hated list right now. That's a lot of talk and tweets about these shows that are suffering in ratings. Hmm...

I have no idea how far behind I am on BH because I've been distracted by the glorious return of Sheree to ATL. Ha!
Highlights: Kyle doing the splits repeatedly at Garcelle's birthday
Diana the Bosnian (in case you forget which Eastern bloc country she came from, she'll remind you about 36 times whenever she speaks) trying to give Sutton a read and threatening to "butt head" her 😂😂 I'm pretty sure that had I ever made it out of jail for throwing Dorit over a balcony, I would have ended right back in the slammer for ripping Diana's lips off if she talked to me the way she did to Sutton, no word of a lie.
Crystal's husband cutting a rug like your favorite doddering uncle at your cousin's wedding. I do so enjoy the reminders each week that he directed The Lion King--it's unclear what he's done in the 27 year interim, but I'm happy that they keep reminding me what his claim to fame is.

Don't forget about Kyle manhandling Sutton to sit and talk it out with Diana-licks-her-lips 75,000 times a day.
Also, Erika telling Garcelle's son Jax to "get the fuck out of here" when he was picking up flowers from the table. He legit looked frightened.
I enjoyed Rob's dancing. He and Crystal look like they genuinely enjoy dancing and hanging out with each other.
PK's ripped jeans-that made me LOL! Good recap again Zee.

Ahhhhh Zee again, perfection!! I continue to watch and can't figure out why. Even DH watches and shakes his head. Best of all, he asks questions and knows which ones are which. I am not sure what to think about Erika this season. She has always seem to be in such steely control. This season, she is just awful. And both of Garcelle's boys, I just felt for them. Diana...at first she seemed like a breath of fresh air. No drama, etc etc. Then the very young boyfriend. And then the Sutton match. Wow. Yet, still I watch. |

I’ve never seen 4 grown women (5, if you count Teddi) so impressed with their own friendship group. It’s bananas. Every season I wonder if they’ll try to switch things up a bit in response to fans hating on their asses every.single.season. and they just keep doing the same shit.
Kyle, Mauricio, Dorit, and PK need to stop getting together on camera. They have the worst takes on everything. The way they laughed and spoke about what Erika did really made me sick. It was so cruel.
And if anyone ever grabbed me and spoke to me the way Kyle spoke to Sutton during the Diana/Sutton argument? Whooo boy.
Kyle is having a very bad season, and will learn nothing at all from it.

Brandi is a reprehensible reptile whose face is literally sliding downhill and sharply to the left. This toad can't be blamed for always running her mouth since her lips can't actually shut anymore. But that's no deterrent to trying to get naked and propositioning literally every woman she's run across so far, and we're only on Day 2.
Tamra wisely decides to wait that train wreck out. I haven't heard one mention of Eddie so I had to Google, yes he's still alive.
Vicki discusses whether or not ex-fiance Steve has a vagina
Eva, formerly boring and not missed by me so much that I completely forgot who she was (ATL), is so far rather refreshing and sensible
Phaedra is low-key sexually harassed by Dorinda, twice now and I'm only on the second episode. Watch Dorinda crack a lobster's hand with her bare claws (😂) and feed the flesh to a wary but willing Phaedra, as Dori looks on hungrily. Feel uncomfortable. Feel just as uncomfortable when Dorinda tells Phaedra she knows "how to go deep"with her fingers and let your stomach churn as she advises Phaedra "you should see the things I can do in the dark" which so far seems to consist mainly of sleeping but ok, we all get the picture. Ya creep.
She was also given The Fish Room, I died. I was wondering who was going to get the fish room.
Jill Zarin, I regret to say, actually looks absolutely wonderful and everyone else on this show besides Phaedra and Eva need to stop all activities at once and head immediately to her face person. Like yesterday.
Dorinda is kooky and drunk,a familiar look for her, but what's not so familiar is the amount of bad filler in those cheeks. Blecch

@zee : GREAT synopsis!! DD and I finished watching the whole ex-wives show... Something about Brandi that I keep feeling sorry for, and she does make sense and seems to tell the truth. She'd out anyone on their shit. I like that about her.
Vicki is just sooooooooooooo tiresome. I'd bet she really thought that Steve was going to win his political run and she'd be "First Lady" of the O.C. She's thirsty, always. Glad Tamra got rehired for the regular OC show WITHOUT Vicki. That'll drive Vicki more insane!!!
I agree about Jill. She looked awesome. She seemed more Zen. She didn't get involved in everyone's crap.
This show made Dorinda look REALLY, REALLY bad. She never came off this badly on the RHONY. She seemed like a really mean, bad drunk. She made everything very awkward and then apologized as if they'd get over it in an instant! Strangeeeeeeeeee. She needs psych help!
Eva and Phaedra were sweet. Never saw Atlanta but I liked them (at least on this show). Phaedra was so adorable and seemed very grounded. I could watch a whole show just about her!
Turned out that Brandi and Eva were smoking pot the entire time of filming (according to Brandi). Seemed that way!!!
I fully believe that these women do these shows to make $$ to pay for their cosmetic crap. On the BH show, I only believe that Sutton actually has her own real $$. Crystal seems to also have real $$. You have to wonder why the heck they'd agree to do this show...... Can't stand Diana. I don't believe that she has actual wealth. Her bf is a weirdo. Wondering why she licks her lips every minute. Is it a drug thing??? Why does she always say that she's from Bosnia?? (Have to say that my eye surgeon was born in Bosnia and she's one tough chick who was able to do surgeries on me that NO ONE in 50 years has ever been able to do...... Diana, though, is full of herself.)
Wish Ericka would be fired. She still has lawsuits against her and it isn't a good look for the show. Andy Cohen (as always) would do ANYTHING for the show to get ratings. It's gross. He continues to use people for the show. Thought it would stop after Taylor's husband committed suicide, but, nope.... This show is dangerous for so many of them, yet we keep watching.......

I must weigh in on Dubai. Those women are a bunch of awful people. They exist to be rich and flaunt it. There isn't one authentic one in the bunch. It actually annoys me. At least the shallow women on Beverly Hills are entertaining. Message to Kyle. You were already burglarized. Your neighbor Dorit was held at gunpoint as she told us the night after the robbery when she was ignoring her children and leaving them w/a big, scary stranger. The point is that when you brag that you're buying 4 of each Berkin don't complain or cry when you get robbed! Idiot!
I can't tolerate Tamra. She screeches at people and when someone is hysterical screeching at them just exacerbates things. After she had the baptism in the fancy hotel pool I was DONE w/her.

This second season of RHUGHT was pretty bad. Dorinda was insufferable. Brandi actually ended up being entertaining and not nasty (mostly) to the other girls.
I've always loved Phaedra and enjoyed her the most. She is the Dorinda Whisperer for sure.
Eva looks amazing, as usual. I still remember her on ANTM when she posed with that tarantula.
Taylor had nothing to talk about other than her beef with Brandi. She was the least interesting of the bunch.
I normally can't stand Vicki but she got better as the season progressed. I have to admire her for not letting Dorinda bully her. She did not back down from her one bit.
Jill looks great! I'm glad to see her happy.
I like Tamra and she did not grate on my nerves like she sometimes does when she hanges out with Vicki. I also enjoyed her confessionals the most.
Dorinda is just a hot mess. I always liked her on RHONY and I quote her "not well, b@tc!" line often. Her drinking problem is painfully obvious, and she probably needs to not be on tv for a while. Her behavior was cringe almost the entire season.
Looking forward to the next season in Thailand. I don't watch Potomac or Miami, so I'm not familiar with the whole group, but at least the destination is better than Bluestone Manor!

They are 2 lawyers who discuss all the legal problems the Real Housewives have had over the years. |

I didn't like the first RH Girl's Trip, but you guys are making me think I need to check out the creepy thriller at Dorinda Manor!
I watched the first few episodes of ATL, but then I started watching The Crown, so I am behind.
I swear if I were a RH, I would be going a couple of rounds with Erica and Diana. The way they speak to people!!!! And if someone had talked to my son like Erica did....LAWD....that weave would be snatched right off HER.HEAD!
