I also got these Dish Scrubber clothes. I like them for heavier duty cleaning like getting pots and pans clean or stuck on food. They rinse clean and I also spray some Clorox Cleanup on these and rinse when done. I use them with a little Barkeepers friend to scour pans and my sink. The one I am currently using is going on about 10 months of use. Still perfect. I have occasionally washed it, in my washing machine. But using the Clorox Cleanup really sanitizes it. I do not like sponges - I feel like they are unsanitary and hard to keep clean. The Crown Choice scrubber cloth

Does anyone know if they're food safe, as in to eat off of? DH pulls out 4 paper towels every day, spreads them on the counter, & uses them in lieu of a plate for snacking from. Paper towel rolls are getting smaller with every shopping trip, it seems, and I dislike all that waste. TIA A quick google same up with this answer: Are Swedish dishcloths non toxic?
What is it made out of? Each Swedish Dishcloth is made of 70% cellulose and 30% cotton. The wood-based cellulose comes from sustainable forests, and is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. The inks are water-based, non-toxic inks.
Thank you for this. I don't know why I didn't see it on Google (I do try to look things up before asking).

I love using Handy Wipes Heavy Duty. They last a very long time, and when they get ratty, I use to clean the bathroom then toilet, then toss. But one can last me a month or longer! Great for wiping down insides of cars and other cleaning chores too. They rinse out easy and do not stink, unless you leave them laying in water. I use Clorox Cleanup to clean my sink and I spray the Heavy Wipe with it, rinse it and wring it. I let dry over the sink. Last so long. But they are great for wiping up spills, etc. Be sure to get HEAVY DUTY WIPES, not the regular "Handy Wipes" - those are thinner and not as absorbent. They come in an off white and a light blue color. HEAVY DUTY Handi Wipes OMG that’s a blast from the past! My MIL used to have the flimsy blue and white ones you don’t like for washing dishes at the lake cabin and I hated them! My dad worked at 3M so we always had the Scotch Brite scouring pads and scrubby sponges at our house growing up so I was used to stuff with some scrubbing power. There wasn’t a dishwasher at the cabin, and because anything MIL washed never ended up actually clean I took over dish duty early on. Just try to wash a frying pan with cooked on grease with one of those things. It doesn’t work! Now imagine that same pan with *ten years worth* of cooked on grease, ugh. I threw a whole pack of those away and bought myself some real dish cloths, scrub sponges and Brillo pads! It took a ton of elbow grease, but I got that stuff clean.

We have so many in different sizes and I hate them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll use the small squares in place of a cloth to clean up counters but I still find they get gross way too quickly for my liking. And I hate that I have to let them sit out flat to dry otherwise they're all wonky and won't fit into our drawer. We have big rectangle ones I use as quick drainboards when I have way2many dishes to wash (no dishwasher!) but otherwise I love my scrub daddy for doing dishes.

TIA What about something like this as an alternative: Marley's Monsters Unpaper TowelsI use something very similar, but these come in tons of cute patterns and different colors. Grab one of these from the roll, then when DH is done eating, toss into the laundry with a load of towels. Zero waste. Rinse and repeat, as it were.

You stinking enablers. Just bought a pack of eight to try them out. I hate sponges because they're too small and get smelly too fast. I've been looking to reduce the amount of paper towels we use.
I'll stick to paper towels for cat barf. My senior cat really likes to puke on the newly finished floors.

I don’t put them in the dryer when I wash them. I have a wire shelf in my laundry room, and I put them on it to dry flat. Then back into the kitchen drawer they go!

Thanks MichyM! I DID learn something from our new Pea's first post though. I had to Google listicles, thinking it was some type of bot-speak. It's "An article in list format" so presumably, if you sit an exam on said article, it's a testic . . . I'll get my coat.
