Hello Peas! June is here...I know lots of you have been waiting for this month and for the summer. If you have some downtime come and play with this new sketch from callmecraftyal. This is another special addition, but instead of 6x6 pp we are creating a fun fold. Video with the download link youtu.be/_VenmKm9i_UProcess video youtu.be/LFV2TuhliP8This month's theme is THE GREAT OUTDOORS. Points counting: This sketch makes 6 cards. 6x10=60 + 10 for theme= 70 points. Have a safe and crafty June! Tagging grammadee.

I love the colors and patterns you chose I'm going to watch the process today and see whether this will play well with some holiday 6x6 pads I have or if I'll wait and do some patriotic cards with 12x12 paper that's hopefully arriving tomorrow. Let's be real, I'll probably end up doing both if the paper cuts and process suits me!

Thank you peasquared. I did get some input from DH...I just had too many choices, but he said camping it goes with the woodgrain and sky..not with plaids...hahaha joblackford in my opinion 6x6 pp would not work well , too much waste, but 6x8 should work.

azcrafty, your cards are beautiful. I love the mix of papers you have used. You and your husband have good taste! I hope I get a chance to do these this month. They look like a fun departure from the regular folded card. Thanks for posting this each month.

I already got a set done - they're fun and easy! This is only 3 papers but I used the reverse of some sheets. Sheetload Jun 22 by jo.blackford, on Flickr I added extra bits inside a couple of them and might go back and add more to others too Sheetload Jun 22 by jo.blackford, on Flickr I didn't need to make sentiments like Crafty Al did so I was able to use the leftover pieces to make some extra cards using last month's sketch. I got another 5 cards out of the 3 pieces of 12x12" patterned paper and I still have some scraps for decorating the insides of the cards if I decide to do that later. The long scraps at the top are 3/4" wide. Sheetload leftovers by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Ooooh! Love your camping theme Fathers Day cards, azcrafty: great colours. And I love your red/white/blue cards, joblackford ! So striking! Here are my cards with this design. I made them a bit bigger (5x7) but got all the pp from two sheets with some left over. Could have done one more card if I needed it, but I just needed five. hats off to DAD by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

grammadee I love your cards , they are so colorful! Love the baseball hats, are they the SU ones? Thank you. The bright colours are courtesy of the Simple Stories Dad Life collection I used, plus some cs scraps I found to match.
Yes, they are Stampin Up stamps and dies from the Hats Off bundle from last year. Sadly, they don't have a stamp that actually says "Hat's Off", at least not in this set, so I printed the greeting on my computer. I stamped TE Happy Fathers' Day on the inside of each.
I am planning to use the hats again for my baseball pages. Have action shots of 4 of my dgs's playing, so plan to cut hats in each of their teams' colours.

azcrafty very nice! Lovely color combinations. The die cut trees and wood slices lend a nice 3D effect. I like the "labelmaker" effect of the sentiment as well. joblackford totally agree on the fun and easy. Your cards are so joyful and will be perfect for your donations. grammadee oh my I love your hats and how they are customized. And colorful! I enjoyed these. I needed a card that used this summer sticker, so I used the folding fun design for that.

That sounds like a cute project grammadee. I almost got that die set , but I'm the only one who wears hats so wouldn't be able to use it that much. I feel like that SU doesn't really do a great job with sentiments. I got the beer bundle , but I feel like they could have added more good sentiments with it. Im planning to get the MFT one when it becomes available. jjpeapea your cards are lovely. Especially I love that plaid pp. And your extra watermelon one is adorable and perfect for the summer. Nice job with the mix of different red colored patterns.

Update on the cutting guide. I'm getting ready for my monthly get together with my cardmaking crafty friends and I was cutting up pp to bring this as my project. I need 14 sets. I found that if you cut the paper up a little differently and add an extra sheet of pp you can have 3 extra card per set. Cut your 12x12 width wise at 4" than 4" and than 3". From the first strip cut 2 5.25 × 4 out. From the second strip cut 3 4x4 out. From the last strip cut 3 4x3 out. This way after you match up your 6 cards you left with 3 of the 4x4 and 4x3 pieces, just add 3 extra 4x5.25 pp and you have 3 extra cards. I hope this makes sense, here is a photo flic.kr/p/2nsdaF2I ended up with 18 cards with 7 pp. Just make sure all 7 pattern coordinates nicely.

your Patriotic cards are so beautiful. I especially love the die cuts you have used both on the front and the inside. I can’t believe you made so many. Are they for your shop? Those mailboxes are really cute. They have been donated to Bring Smiles to Seniors and a foster kids 9/11 red white and blue card drive (which I posted about in the pinned donation thread if anyone is interested - there is still time to contribute!) I got on a roll and created another batch with this sketch too, using the big stickers from the paper pack. They have to go to BSTS because the RWB drive asks for no sentiments and has a specific A2 sized insert so this month's sheetload wasn't suitable for them. I didn't take proper photos with them, sorry - I was trying to finish up all of my patriotic Doodlebug supplies so I could move onto the next project http://instagr.am/p/Ce34hwsJ4LO
