Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) told CNN's Manu Raju on Wednesday that after watching the panel's public hearings he "will not be supporting" the former president in the 2024 Republican primary, if Trump announces he is running.

Rusty Bowers is facing more trouble Arizona GQP.

The Arizona Republican Party is in disarray after GOP House Speaker Rusty Bowers publicly testified about Donald Trump's coup attempt before the House Select Committee Investigating the Jan. 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol.

"State GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward has come positively unglued over Bowers’ testimony before the House Select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection, wherein he reminded us that there are still are Republicans who haven’t lost their ever living minds. Or their integrity," Arizona Republic columnist Laurie Roberts wrote. "In the last 24 hours, Ward has demeaned Bowers, belittled him and even embraced her inner fifth grade bully and given him a nickname: 'Rusty Bowels."

Roberts noted a tweet where she suggested Bowers may have been bribed into not overturn the election.

"This guy has no idea what happened in Arizona’s 2020 election because he covered his eyes, plugged his ears, probably opened his wallet and let election fraud happen on his watch," she wrote.

Republican Sen. T.J. Shope publicly called out Ward.

"I’ve known Rusty for many years now and was honored to serve as his Speaker Pro Tempore. He’s a gentleman and a statesman of the highest order. The person quote-tweeted here is a maniacal Chair breaking rules endorsing candidates in a Primary and hellbent on destroying the GOP," he wrote.

On Wednesday, CNN reported that Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) is willing to testify before the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, ahead of an expected subpoena.

However, Brooks — whose announcement comes just a day after he was defeated in the Alabama Republican Senate Primary — appears to have some preconditions for the committee first.

My basic requirement is it be in public so the public can see it — so they don't get bits and pieces dribbled out,' the Alabama Republican said," reported Manu Raju and Morgan Rimmer. "He also said he'd testify only about matters related to January 6, 2021, and wants to see copies of any documents beforehand that the panel may ask him about."

Even if Trump went away or died, I don't think the Republican party would be any different than they are now.  You can't put a genie back in a bottle and they have already showed who/what they are and continue to do so.

  They now know they can get away with anything and there will be zero consequences so the flood gates are open.  This is why I'm so pissed that the Democrats are not fighting dirty.  Our fucking democracy is at stake!
