Joann stores and the Designer Destination Collections

I had to chuckle at your post...mine had embellishments, but only 4 papers!   Wonder if this is a shipping thing, or a JA thing...

You only looked and didn't buy?!  That's not the Nancy I'm used to meeting up with in the aisle.  If so, your restraint is admirable!  I was thinking of going today to see if they got more Maggie paper.  

I bought the ephemera one day and went back for the paper the next day!  

Let me know if you see more paper.  The VB line had three missing papers.  I liked the butterfly paper.

I went yesterday and got $25 worth of paper (1.25 inches!)- tons of Bazzell cardstock and the Heidi Swapp project pad. They did have all of the designer collections. The designer paper wasn't on sale but the embellishments were.

I didn't get much of the designer stuff except for Heidi Swapp. I already bought most of the Vicki Boutin line and I had already bought some of the Paige Evans line, too. I liked some of the BoBunny, but decided I really didn't need it. I think Jen Hatfield has really nice lines but they just aren't my aesthetic- too much beige and brown I think.

Even with the sale price the cost of embellishments lately is staggering. I didn't get any embellishments but there are a couple that I'm thinking about.

I saw a bunch of home decorating stuff I really liked. Joann always has great home decor.

Joann also, unfortunately, has the worst checkout people. I had all of my paper faced so the bar codes were all together and I had two of each color. The cashier picked every single paper up, turned it around to find the bar code (that I just put right in front of her!), slowly scanning. All the while talking about the Rolling Stones (my t-shirt) and birdwatching (birds on my paper). It was maddening. I thought the 10 people behind me in line were going to kill me.

I went to my local one in SoCal and they had all the new stuff out and on sale! I GASP didn't buy any though!

They also had all the old ones on clearance for 50 cents a sheet. Strange because the new ones are 20 cents a sheet right now.

I'm driving through Watertown, NY on Friday and might stop at the Joann there - it's one of the good ones on the list. Has anyone gone to that one and do you know if they got the good stuff in yet, or if there is any left?

I was enabled by this thread and stopped by Joann's to check it out. They had everything in stock. I really don't need any pp, but I haven't bought any new lines since last year, so I just picked a few sheets, ended up with 15 I think. There was also no sign, but it did ring up as 10 for $2. After getting home and looking more, I may have to get some duplicates, bcz I liked both sides of some. I usually always buy 2 each, but I was trying to behave.

I stopped yesterday and they had NOTHING out. Probably waiting for the sale to be over.

That's good.  Everyone has more time to shop!

I may or may not go back to Joann tomorrow to scoop up some more cardstock and have a closer look at the papers...

Only the locations designated as a “designer destination” (when introduced in 2019; see link in OP) stock these products. If not on the list, your stores will always be “skipped.”

It’s not just that. My store is extremely neglected. It has a Happy Planner section of about 8 feet wide and the scrapbook section is one 12’ long paper wall and 6’ of sticker wall. When I go to other JoAnn stores you have multiple 20’ long aisles of paper craft supplies. It has about 5% of a typical Hobby Lobby store. If you saw it, you’d understand.
