Throw them out. Just kidding I hate cherries but you could make a cherry pie, or a cherry cobbler or cherry muffins

Oh I would have half of them eaten in a day or so. Yummy. Freeze is great. We love them also in chopped homemade ice cream. The muffins mentioned above sound yummy as well as a any type of sweet bread that calls for a fruit.

Yum! I buy them frozen and mix in our Ninja type blender with one container of cherry yogurt and vanilla almond milk.

I'm in the "eat them" camp. Cherries are my number one absolute favorite fruit. Raspberries and strawberries run a close second/third. This is the BEST time of the year for fruit!

They'd be devoured in two days in our house. But if I was going to make something with them, I'd pull out the ice cream maker and make a Cherry Garcia type ice cream with vanilla ice cream base with the cherries and dark chocolate pieces mixed in.

Sweet cherries or sour/tart cherries? Either way - yummy!
Sweet cherries I would just eat until I was ready to explode. LOL
Tart cherries are THE best pie cherries. Pit them, and make sure you have all the pits out. You can measure the amount you need for a pie and freeze them in that quantity. Tart cherry pies need sugar when you make them. I use Minute tapioca pearls to thicken them - just add some to the cherries & sugar before baking. Oh yummy!

Pit them and freeze them. I eat frozen cherries nearly every day as a 'sweet treat' after dinner. Just like (almost) sorbet!

I made some cherry muffins this morning. Pitting them -- what a pain! I used about 1.5 cups of cherries -- still have a gallon bag. I'll pit some more - WHAT a pain! -- and freeze them in a smaller quantity. Maybe I'll make a pie - have to pit more ... WHAT A PAIN!!

Maple-cherry glaze for salmon or shrimp. The recipe calls for dried cherries, but fresh or frozen work great.

I saw a recipe for a cherry salsa I'm going to try. It says serve it on a log of goat cheese -- but I don't really care much for goat cheese. What soft cheese could I substitute for goat cheese? Cream cheese seems a bit plain ...

I'm going to try using a "frosting tip" -- I'll look for a Bic pen cap - but I haven't used a big pen in some time, so it will likely just be some pen cap! Thanks! I like the Bic pen cap because it has the bit that hangs down so it can be hooked to a pocket. Jam that end into the cherry, and pull it thru the other side. It drags the pit with it, and your cherries stay whole. I love goat cheese, but I would be willing to bet that a nice cream cheese would work. Something like Tillamook brand rather than Philadelphia cream cheese.

I’d make either a pie or a cobbler. Probably a cobbler because it’s easier and just as good. Make sure you have some decent vanilla ice cream to go with it!
