Ooh I love this thread! I don't have many...
1. I've lost almost 20 pounds since April (asthma under control now!) 2. I'm a relative of Babe Ruth and went to Fenway Park last weekend --- and didn't get hit by a ball this time for the first time! (It's a curse from heaven I'm sure lol)

Congrats to everyone on their brags. It’s so much fun to read positive things.
I’m my granddaughter’s “best friend”! How do I know? She told me so and melted my heart. Of course she’s only four and the next time I saw her she told me her nanny was and I’m her Nana, not her best friend. She’s a hoot!

You have to hold on to those precious, adorable moments don't you I'm alternately my grandson's favourite person or the worst person in the world when I have to discipline him a bit

Everyone has great brags! I'll add some (because I need to counter the s##tstorm of meetings I have to lead today lol): 1. DD is loving her new job/career. She left a small business (game card/game store, very niche) after 8 years to become a Creative for Apple! She's getting to combine her business/retail/people skills and her inherited/honed art skills. It's the perfect fit for her! 2. DS has (mostly) moved out (again). I have a quiet house again. And he got his truck towed to the new place so he can work on it (long story but it's been out of commission almost 2 years). His job is picking back up, too (lighting design) - it took a big hit when the pandemic hit. 3. I bought a brand new car! Nothing fancy - 2022 Kia Forte - but it's nice to have a new vehicle (only the 2nd one I've ever bought new). Would have preferred not buying one, but my convertible got totalled a couple of weeks ago (DS was driving, not his fault, and he walked away from it with only one bruise). 4. I received a Center Director's Innovation Award at work a couple of months ago. Nice to get recognition outside my group. It was for how I handled a huge incident that took a year to fully recover from, and most of that time I was flying solo staffing-wise. This is a very cool award to win. I'm glad your hard work was acknowledged. And yay on the new car! That's always exciting.

I’m going to brag on my alma mater’s softball team. The Oklahoma women just won the national championship tournament again after winning it last year as well. Yes! This is awesome. And the fact that they have a lot of fan support is too. I'm glad to see women's sports being cheered on.

How wonderful it must be to be a grandmother.

I'll brag on my kids! DD (27) has a degree in biology and graduated from college 4 years ago. She started working at a biotech, they got bought out, and she wasn't thrilled with the direction the company was going. So, she moved on, got another job about a year ago, and was just promoted to lab supervisor. She loves her work, works well with people and is a great teacher. So proud of her! DS (27) has an art degree. After working in a custom woodworking shop for a little less than a year, he got hired on as a glass blower at a start-up. This made me nervous (the start-up part) and sure enough, it folded and everyone was stiffed out of a month's salary. He got hired on at Glassy Baby and continues to work there. He also works a few days a week at the Chihuly museum in the portable hot shop. Glass is his thing and I'm thrilled he's working in his preferred medium! DS (25) is a shift lead at his major aviation production company job. He's been asked to begin working toward management, but he's not sure he's ready for that. He's a pretty cautious kid and weighs his decisions carefully. I have no doubt that when he's ready, he'll begin that path. He's rock solid and as steady as they come! Two out of three kids own their own homes. They are all self-sufficient, productive, and happy. And that's all I ever wanted for them! Well done mum - it is great that they achieved their goals and I’m sure they will continue to make you proud!
